Hi Nancy. I just stumbled on your channel and I must say I'm impressed👌🏻 I want to express my thanks for being brutally frank about the immigration changes that is being introduced that may impact prospective applicants and giving us an honest view of your opinion about it. I totally resonate with you!!! Please keep up the efforts you put into getting us informed👍🏻 Hearty cheers!!!
Thank you for your comment. However, the ridiculous deposit fee for international students has been annulled thanks to the numerous protests against it.
Actually this law is made for those from third world countries because they know that a lot would not want to return to their various home countries after studies.
Thank you so much for this I’m currently doing my masters in Grenoble business school and I’m in my first year Pls can you get more details on the requirements for residency permit for the second year. This is getting really stressful and to think that it’s not that easy to cope in this place where you can’t speak the language now they bring this. Thanks in advance and keep up the great work 😊
You’re welcome I’ll try to make a video about the application process from switching from foreign 1 year visa to student permit. But normally, it’s not really a complicated procedure.
@@WalkwithMideNancyThe student deposit fee has been removed from the new immigration law. I made a research on it and it’s has been indicated on the campus France portal as well. No student deposit fee. I quote “Following a review by the Constitutional Council, the new immigration law no longer contains any measures concerning international students. The student deposit has been removed from the legislation”.
@@WalkwithMideNancyThe France universities lobbied for the removal as they said it’s discriminatory to Students and has weakened the image of France and its influence. They also said international students are also major players in the economic, cultural and scientific development of the country. They said international students constitute 40% of the country’s doctoral students. These are one of the reasons portrayed by the French universities which enables them removed the student deposit fee.
Hello Nancy. 1)Has the France Govt finalized the deposit international student should pay? 2) In 2024, is France worth relocating to? Waiting your feedback
@@WalkwithMideNancy deposit is on call for, they shouldn't even consider it because they moment they implement it ; other EU countries will follow suit. Thank you for your feedback Nancy.👍
Hello Mide, Please can you help confirm if this new Immigration law has been suspended or is still active? I am a new subscriber here. Thank you so much.
i sent the mother of my children to France is now two years and things are going fine, only she don't have document for now, i want to go and join her with the children , what are the best method to use ?
Nigerians are not the only immigrants or foreigners. There are other Africans, Asians and people from other continents that the laws also apply to so I won’t say they are targeting Nigerians🫶🏽

Welcome here🫶🏽. It is still active
I was told this law was not finally agreed upon and was rejected. So, it does no longer exist. Please update us. Thank you so much.
The law has been passed and agreed upon for now. Feel free to look it up online
@@WalkwithMideNancy please how much is the amount?
There’s no info on that yet
Has the law regarding the caution fee to France been passed?
No, it is now on hold / cancelled
Hi, I would like to know when we should pay deposit fees to France government either before getting visa or else after coming to France. Thank you
Your French embassy or the visa issuing agency of your company will put you through the modalities of payment if you need to pay the fee
Nancy happy New Year 🎉 is being a while am happy to see your video again.
Same to you
Thanks for being here
Do you think it would be implemented this year, relating to deposit paid before getting visa
No one is sure of when it will take effect.
But the bill has already been voted for and passed.
How long does it takes for student to get citizenship
About 3-5 years after successfully completing masters and actively working and paying taxes.
@@WalkwithMideNancy Please can one bring in their dependants alongside?
@@eberedeniaustine4527 no only phd students can
Will they still give back the deposit fee if you don’t go back to your home country but go to to a different country?
Yes as long as you’re leaving
Let me just come, after study i just migrate to a different country like Luxembourg
That’s nice too
Have this been finalized now?
No further info on it yet
Thank God

Unfortunately, there’s no dependent visa in France except for phd students
So does this mean we can't come to france with our Spouses anymore?😢
Unfortunately It has never been possible to come to france with your spouse on a student visa.
Thank you so much Mide❤ But can the spouse go on a Schengen long stay visa or a work visa? I would appreciate your response thanks
Hi Nancy good one thank you for this video pls can I email you for a very crucial discussion pls
