Great video, Jeff. Thank you. Some great places along the way. I really love the Spencer Station. As with your other videos, I recommend anyone watching to listen through headphones. It brings out the best of that V8 sound.
Super Video Jeff..!!! Have you seen the Squirrel left behind the Johnson Creek Bridge min.8.18..??? Awesome Spencer Station and the Red Oak Open Air Museum is so beautiful..❤👍🤠
I love your sweet sounding 55! I was glad to see you visit Spencer Mo, a friend of mine bought that and they have spent a lot of time and money fixing it up again.
Thank you so much @glensoldan4536 !! If you like what you saw would you do me a favor? Gimme a like & subscribe to my UA-cam channel if you haven't already. I'd appreciate it.

One day when the time is right I'm going to do what you're doing now me and my wife and are 6 year old daughter I'm going to travel route 66 in my 1977 Chevy El Camino
I see you made it to my town of Carthage Missouri! I like the Boots Motel.. it was recently renovated.. The Carthage Courthouse is beautiful.. did you go check it out? Too bad I just started watching your journey on 66 hwy.. would have been coo to meet you and tell you interesting stories of this area.. I subscribed to the channel..
Jeff, are you going into Oklahoma? I live about 6 minutes from the Blue Whale in Catoosa, OK. If you have an idea or time you'll arrive (if going) I'll meet up with you in my 55.
Definitely the Boots Court, The Blue Swallow and the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook - they're all awesome!! Let me know if you've got any more questions for me Lin.
@@jeffthisted You definitely picked out some great choices there. Don't forget about the other Wigwam motel in Rialto, CA. That is also a great choice there. Say do you want a teepee to sleep in your backyard???? Are the vintage classic cars at outside Blue Swallow Motel in NM and Wigwam Holbrook, Arizona still functioning or has their fuel already being long sucked out???? Btw. My name is also Jeffrey, not just Lin here.
@@jeffthisted Very fun!!!!! Say, how come the Boots Court motel does not have working garages???? What if someone decides to break in and steal anyone's stuff at the motel????
The Pavement through Spencer is the Original Pavement, never Covered or over Layed. ❤
Thanks for the history @charlesbaldwin9033!! That's very cool!!
Boots Court , very cool. Clean and quaint.
It's pretty amazing right @kevinharms7578 ?!?
And there's a radio in every room.
Great video, Jeff.
Thank you.
Some great places along the way.
I really love the Spencer Station.
As with your other videos, I recommend anyone watching to listen through headphones. It brings out the best of that V8 sound.
You’re welcome Paul!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!! Gotta love that Black Widow exhaust right?!? It calms down at 2600 rpm
The story of Lowel Davis "Red Oak II" is amazing. While its Not on Original Rt 66, its still a Great Time Era Experience
I agree with you @charlesbaldwin9033 - Red Oak II is pretty cool!!
Boots Court is so dang cool!!!
It's like taking a step back in time right @sibman77 ?!?
Have you ever spent the night there?
@jeffthisted nope, but I did spend a night at El Rancho Hotel in NM. It was so awesome and rich with history!
I love the El Rancho too @ !! …and the Boots Court. Both have legit old Route 66 history.
The Johnson Creek Bridge is an old classic design, and cool Spencer Station, and then Carthage & the Boots Motel, a scenic Missoura drive on Route 66!
Thanks Pop!! Pretty cool stuff right?!?
Dang wish I would’ve know you were in town! Born and raised in Carthage
Didn’t you hear me honk at you as I drove by Garb buddy?!?
What beautiful bldg’s along rte 66 - such a great way to see Americana (the way it was). Thanks much Jeff

Great to see these areas from your point of view. I rode all of Route 66 back in July and enjoyed myself. Looking forward to seeing it again one day.

Thank you so much @dennyporter2447 !!
I really appreciate it!!
Guess I was pretty lucky to grow up in that era - before all the “progress” set in & our history forgotten
You got that right Gary!! I bet you appreciate it all too.
Globalist regime was responsible for making it happen.
Jeff, are you going into Oklahoma? I live about 6 minutes from the Blue Whale in Catoosa, OK. If you have an idea or time you'll arrive (if going) I'll meet up with you in my 55.
That would be awesome Haff - but I was there a few weeks ago. I’ll have to catch you next time.
No free soup for you. Come back in one year. Lol. I was going to buy you a meal. Dang it@@jeffthisted
Thanks@@haffrods7055 !! See ya next year!!
Hey Jeff. You ever consider slapping a wood steering wheel on your classic wagon?
No way @sibman77
I LOVE my purple sparkly steering wheel - don't you love it too??
@@jeffthisted , it's different, I'll give ya that buddy 😋
Nicely put @@sibman77
It’s very polarizing.
Some hate it.
Some love it.
It makes me grin every time I look at it.
Which classic and retro motels on Route 66 would you recommend to drivers to stay overnight???
Definitely the Boots Court, The Blue Swallow and the Wigwam Motel in Holbrook - they're all awesome!! Let me know if you've got any more questions for me Lin.

@@jeffthisted Very fun!!!!! Say, how come the Boots Court motel does not have working garages???? What if someone decides to break in and steal anyone's stuff at the motel????
Thanks @LINJ638 they’re motor courts not garages. Pretty cool right?!?
