There are alot more than 1-2. We just dont stream or do videos. Im Oni main and i play different builds almost every game. I have strong comp build, mass slug build, aura build, impossible-to-heal build, stealth-oni build, forever-gens build, totem build, m1 build, super fast Oni build. I never run corrupt or dead lock, most boring perks in the game which are used by 99% of sweaty killers. Each of these builds are cowering some weakness of the Oni, or empower drastically his strength. For example fast Oni build - pwyf, nemesis, brutal, and SM perk for 5% haste in chase. Early game and periods without power being m1 killer is his greatest weakness, and this build neutralise this problem of catching up for one hit to get your blood.
I love the diversity between dbd community - in Otz's tier list boots are A tier, but on the other tierlist there is a new category for these shoes. This shows how many playstyles there are in the game. Love ur content dude, keep up the good work!

As someone who was playing a lot of trickster I really did find this red add on to be one of the best cuz one of the weakest aspects of trickster is running out of knives. Being able to shoot 40 + a huge burst + another 40 is crazy and main event is never a complete waste anymore

It requires prolly one of the best skills in map geometry to take advantage and it really sets him apart from other ranged killers like huntress or slinger. Ranged killers are usually at the bend and will of corners so itd be awesome to have a killer that can circumvent this with skill, plus its prolly increade the amount of skill expression for tricksters
I 100% stan on the trick blades. Incredible addon imo. Death Throws Compilation playstyle is some mad lad dedication. I don't think I could achieve that level of accuracy without some... shenanigans... Hats off to them.
I've always been of the opinion that trickster just feels so clunky to play. Not sure if it's just me, but I'd always rather play huntress or deathslinger or even nemesis if I want a killer that hits from farther away
I play on console and I wished I could make him work but oh my god it's so incredibly hard. And to top it off my brother (only plays survivor) refuses to believe he is hard to play, always telling me it's the easiest and dirtiest killer, he's one of those survivors yeah...
As a trickster main I’ve been wanting main event to be a choice of when it can be used rather than you’re forced to use it until it runs out & I feel like melodius murder should be base kit.

personally i always use ricochet knives when i play trickster. i find that at small pallet loops with tall walls, aiming at the pallet as you make your way around for ricochet hits is more affective than dance shoes
Trickster is one of my favourite killers and i share the opinion that bouncy knives are strongest addon. When you get used to it - you become a monster, especially in closed areas. With this addon you basicaly remove his ms weakness, cause in, for example, shack you can (almost on every map) hit survivours, that run around corners, using walls nearby. Alao you can pair it with addon, that shows auras when survivor is one hit from injury and you 100% get that hit even if they are trying to hide
I love the videos where you showcase REALLY amazing killer mains play styles and tricks like the nemesis video I loved that one it’s interesting to see what a person can learn from 100s of hours on one killer i would love to see more showcases if you can 👍

I always considered the Death Throes Compilation to be one of his best addons. The addon itself isn't tricky to use because it has any particularly steep stipulation, it just requires you to be accurate with your knives which you should be naturally trying to achieve in the first place. And the Trick Blade is honestly a very powerful addon IF you know how to use it. I like to play characters in games with very bouncy and angular mechanics so it comes very naturally to me but I can see how someone who isn't used to stuff like that might not get as much value as some of his simpler but still very solid addons.
Also still convinced they should make trickster have to do a sick dance move before throwing knives, so he can go around long edges but also if he commits to using the dance move in that direction so he can be outplayed
Even though I’m not a killer main and probably only played Trickster like twice in my life I found this video so informative and made me excited to maybe go against trickster in the future or maybe even give them another try 😂
I'm still shocked they haven't done any kind of experimental optional mode. They have a pretty consistent player base (around 40k on PC alone which is solid, but an avg of 30k + console players is more than enough to experiment) so adding 1 game mode for a week or 2 to see if people enjoy it or not would help with player frustration. Having the good perks on both sides get nerfed feels awful, but there's always one side that will have better perks for this type of game mode (rush generators and leave as quickly as possible), but it wouldn't be fair for say survivors to be nerfed into making gens last longer so killer games don't feel horrible when doing gens is boring, and vise versa if killer is stronger, then it sucks when a new perk comes out that completely destroys a play style that prevents gens from getting done quickly (Pain Res).
Man I always look forward to these addon combo / perks that work well on specific killers videos. There's something to them that's so intriguing to me and shows how much synergy you could actually have in DBD
Really the best part of the build is not reloading at a locker. This literally saves so much time and you build way more pressure if you’re good with this strategy.
I feel sorry for this C-tier killer mains. They have to rely on expensive, rare addons to win games with these killers which results in a majority of their BP economy going right back into the same killer meaning they can't diversify as easily on the rest of the roster.
Bouncy shatter knives are my favorite, they turn jungle gyms into shrapnel zones, and you can bounce them off the floor into the target, but they're too expensive, gotta keep my 99 elixirs. Gotta say though otz, this build is ehh, thwack is bad, pop on a slow movespeed killer is rough, and that scourge hook got nerfed so hard it's not worth it, you'd get more value from a build like deadlock/iron maiden/darkness revealed/lightborn, - you'd have auto gen slow on a slow moving killer, faster reloading with auras, screams if anyone dwights up a locker, and immunity to your nemesis: flashlights.

I would love to see a DbD Ranked mode and maybe a casual. Could have a blood point difference or maybe just better rank rewards to keep players wanting to try and finish the game and play seriously while you can have more fun and play around with perks without being punished in casual mode. Not to mention rank mode could have certain restrictions to be more competitive 😉
14:49 the difference in play out of this one. She seems good then the moment she needs to leave, she blunders. Something I will always believe, and that is that good tile RnG can absolutely carry survivors to a point where you think they're better than they really are. If there's one thing I've learned playing this game, learn how to run setups that aren't disgusting or aren't near as safe. I see this all the time as killer. You see players that seemingly know how to run things, then the moment they are forced to leave, they seemingly lose all that chase potential they just showed you and get downed instantly. 20:32 you can see it again here. She doesn't know what to do. She actually has a decent pallet there but just W keys out of there and panic vaults twice.
Feel like the Knives refill from Main Event should be basekit, mostly because the power is timed and you dont always get value. Make the Iri instead have no timer on Main Event and you dont get the refill.
another cool tip for trickster is that if u turn controller before going into the game u will have less spread of knives when holding down. And u can also switch to keyboard and still have that ability.
I honestly don't think that otz kicked a generator once in the entire first game where he had pop. It actually gave me a stomach ache seeing that perk just go wasted.
i've started maining trickster after the sadako rework but he has always been in my top 3 most played killers since his release, i'm making this comment bc while this build can work it doesn't mean you should run it, there's a few reasons why but the two main reasons are 1. you need to be able to hit your knives constantly with high accuracy 2. it requires an iri addon to function, it annoys me when players say this addon makes the killer an a or s tier when the addon they're using is an iri or some broken addon which performs equally or even better than their iri addons if you wanna get into trickster, here's a build that i run all the time addons caged heart shoes, killing part chord, melodious murder or any of his purple addons (outside of the one that allows your knives to penetrate survivors, it's way too niche) tbh the addon choice is up to you but his movement speed addons are by far his strongest addons outside of his purple addons perks (the first 4 perks i run and the 5th perk isn't released yet but i'm planning on it replacing my 4th perk) BAMBOOZLE is a staple trickster perk since shutting down an exit for a survivor can quite often lead to a health state DISSOLUTION is arguably tricksters best perk, it provides a very similar effect to bamboozle with the added benefit of survivors breaking pallets for you and bc survivors pre drop most of the time against a trickster, about 75% of the time in chase, this perk provides value in some way or another, you need to try it out to understand, also dw about how the perk is limited to your terror radius any survivor who has more than 30 hours on this game doesn't fast vault outside of 24m DEADLOCK is tricksters best slowdown perk because trickster is a slow killer and his pressure is relatively low compared to other killers so having a completely passive form of slowdown with a guaranteed 2m 30s of blocked gens is a godsend with trickster (if you haven't figured out the trend with tricksters ideal slowdown perks these two might point it out) DEAD MAN'S SWITCH/THRILLING TREMOR'S are his second best slowdown perks, they both function very similarly but provide slightly different forms of value for him, DMS provides a strong form of slowdown with a little bit of information while thrilling tremors does the opposite being lesser slowdown (not bad slowdown still) but more info on where to go next ULTIMATE WEAPON is xenomorph's next perk, when opening a locker, for 30 seconds this basically causes all survivors in your terror radius to scream and be inflicted with the blindness debuff which seems useless but on killers like trickster and huntress who have to constantly do mind games with their red stain, making a survivor blind is much easier, plus both these killers check lockers constantly, the info this perk provides mixed with it's chase value on these two killers makes it a much more useful perk than what it may seem anyways u can play trickster however u like, this is just my personal opinion but have fun with whatever u find

Hey I know this is unrelated to the video but I've been experimented with a pretty good instant knock out build for ghostface. Using Knockout, hex: third seal, lethal pursuer, and deerstalker (Bloody butcher or infectious fright can replace deerstalker) with security camera and either the tape or matchbook to reduce night shroud cooldown. You can find everyone fast, stalk them to 99% and leave them be to find the other survivors, While 3 to 4 are all 99% stalked, you can start slugging very easily and prevent any gen progression while they're struggling to find and get each other back up. Hope you try it!
I think a good idea for me personally would be to replace THWACK!, because although it did get value, it was much more minimal then the other perks. Because THWACK! wasn't giving you the information needed, it left certain areas where you couldn't tell where to pop and where people were for Main Event. So i feel if i try this out, i'm gonna consider running Discordance or Tinkerer instead
I've noticed pain res doesn't work at times even in matches I play. When you hook a survivor on a pain res hook, there are times where the counter doesn't go down and the actual perk doesn't work. At 4:32 in this video, Otz's pain res has 2 tokens and he then goes to hook the survivor on the pain res hook and he STILL has 2 tokens. Due to this the gens obviously didn't regress and that's why 2 popped
The reason pain res didn't trigger there is because it only works once per survivor and Zarina had already been hooked on a scourge hook at this point.
pain res works the first time you hook each individual survivor on a scourge hook. That zarina was already hooked on a scourge before so he didnt get it. the other two tokens are on the two survivors who havent been scourge hooked yet
i want the devs to try making trickster a 4.6 m/s killer just to see how he would be. or even a secondary power that gives some kind of movement to him. hell making just 1 or 2 of his add-ons base kit could be enough for him to feel better. imo his number one weakness is just no movement and his power does not make up for it enough, just look a huntress her power way makes up for no form of movement-ness with a hit from any distance. tricksters power is only ever helpful if people get to a loop with holes or are in open parts of the map. imo i have no idea what they could do to improve him as there is a lot of posable changes, and no real way of knowing what ones the best pick.
4:43 - 2 gens pop as well as a completely random one at 5:15 Gen rushing in this game nowadays is insane, he was literally performing the best pressure possible and using pain resonance + pop the most efficient way but none of that matters 💀 And survivors wonder why killers tunnel

I would love to see a DbD Ranked mode and maybe a casual. Could have a blood point difference or maybe just better rank rewards to keep players wanting to try and finish the game and play seriously while you can have more fun and play around with perks without being punished in casual mode. Not to mention rank mode could have certain restrictions to be more competitive 😉
Thwak was way more useful than I thought it would be and Pain Res was way less useful than I thought it would be. Maybe Corrupt would be better?

14:49 the difference in play out of this one. She seems good then the moment she needs to leave, she blunders. Something I will always believe, and that is that good tile RnG can absolutely carry survivors to a point where you think they're better than they really are. If there's one thing I've learned playing this game, learn how to run setups that aren't disgusting or aren't near as safe. I see this all the time as killer. You see players that seemingly know how to run things, then the moment they are forced to leave, they seemingly lose all that chase potential they just showed you and get downed instantly.

Feel like the Knives refill from Main Event should be basekit, mostly because the power is timed and you dont always get value. Make the Iri instead have no timer on Main Event and you dont get the refill.
i will die on the hill that bouncy blades are goated with the sauce, they're my most reliable way to have fun with him, even on shit maps for tricky
another cool tip for trickster is that if u turn controller before going into the game u will have less spread of knives when holding down. And u can also switch to keyboard and still have that ability.
I honestly don't think that otz kicked a generator once in the entire first game where he had pop. It actually gave me a stomach ache seeing that perk just go wasted.

i've started maining trickster after the sadako rework but he has always been in my top 3 most played killers since his release, i'm making this comment bc while this build can work it doesn't mean you should run it, there's a few reasons why but the two main reasons are
1. you need to be able to hit your knives constantly with high accuracy
2. it requires an iri addon to function, it annoys me when players say this addon makes the killer an a or s tier when the addon they're using is an iri or some broken addon which performs equally or even better than their iri addons
if you wanna get into trickster, here's a build that i run all the time
addons caged heart shoes, killing part chord, melodious murder or any of his purple addons (outside of the one that allows your knives to penetrate survivors, it's way too niche)
tbh the addon choice is up to you but his movement speed addons are by far his strongest addons outside of his purple addons
perks (the first 4 perks i run and the 5th perk isn't released yet but i'm planning on it replacing my 4th perk)
BAMBOOZLE is a staple trickster perk since shutting down an exit for a survivor can quite often lead to a health state
DISSOLUTION is arguably tricksters best perk, it provides a very similar effect to bamboozle with the added benefit of survivors breaking pallets for you and bc survivors pre drop most of the time against a trickster, about 75% of the time in chase, this perk provides value in some way or another, you need to try it out to understand, also dw about how the perk is limited to your terror radius any survivor who has more than 30 hours on this game doesn't fast vault outside of 24m
DEADLOCK is tricksters best slowdown perk because trickster is a slow killer and his pressure is relatively low compared to other killers so having a completely passive form of slowdown with a guaranteed 2m 30s of blocked gens is a godsend with trickster
(if you haven't figured out the trend with tricksters ideal slowdown perks these two might point it out)
DEAD MAN'S SWITCH/THRILLING TREMOR'S are his second best slowdown perks, they both function very similarly but provide slightly different forms of value for him, DMS provides a strong form of slowdown with a little bit of information while thrilling tremors does the opposite being lesser slowdown (not bad slowdown still) but more info on where to go next
ULTIMATE WEAPON is xenomorph's next perk, when opening a locker, for 30 seconds this basically causes all survivors in your terror radius to scream and be inflicted with the blindness debuff which seems useless but on killers like trickster and huntress who have to constantly do mind games with their red stain, making a survivor blind is much easier, plus both these killers check lockers constantly, the info this perk provides mixed with it's chase value on these two killers makes it a much more useful perk than what it may seem
anyways u can play trickster however u like, this is just my personal opinion but have fun with whatever u find

Hey I know this is unrelated to the video but I've been experimented with a pretty good instant knock out build for ghostface. Using Knockout, hex: third seal, lethal pursuer, and deerstalker (Bloody butcher or infectious fright can replace deerstalker) with security camera and either the tape or matchbook to reduce night shroud cooldown. You can find everyone fast, stalk them to 99% and leave them be to find the other survivors, While 3 to 4 are all 99% stalked, you can start slugging very easily and prevent any gen progression while they're struggling to find and get each other back up. Hope you try it!
Everytime I watch otz play trickster I just want a trickster buff he is just so unfun to play for a killer that looks so fun

I think a good idea for me personally would be to replace THWACK!, because although it did get value, it was much more minimal then the other perks. Because THWACK! wasn't giving you the information needed, it left certain areas where you couldn't tell where to pop and where people were for Main Event. So i feel if i try this out, i'm gonna consider running Discordance or Tinkerer instead
This week Otz been gaining the divine knowledge about the killers
I've noticed pain res doesn't work at times even in matches I play. When you hook a survivor on a pain res hook, there are times where the counter doesn't go down and the actual perk doesn't work. At 4:32 in this video, Otz's pain res has 2 tokens and he then goes to hook the survivor on the pain res hook and he STILL has 2 tokens. Due to this the gens obviously didn't regress and that's why 2 popped
The reason pain res didn't trigger there is because it only works once per survivor and Zarina had already been hooked on a scourge hook at this point.

pain res works the first time you hook each individual survivor on a scourge hook. That zarina was already hooked on a scourge before so he didnt get it. the other two tokens are on the two survivors who havent been scourge hooked yet

i want the devs to try making trickster a 4.6 m/s killer just to see how he would be. or even a secondary power that gives some kind of movement to him. hell making just 1 or 2 of his add-ons base kit could be enough for him to feel better. imo his number one weakness is just no movement and his power does not make up for it enough, just look a huntress her power way makes up for no form of movement-ness with a hit from any distance. tricksters power is only ever helpful if people get to a loop with holes or are in open parts of the map. imo i have no idea what they could do to improve him as there is a lot of posable changes, and no real way of knowing what ones the best pick.
