Yes, he won both the Lightweight AND Welterweight Mexican National Championships! He also held the NABF Title. A smooth counter-punching boxer puncher!

I remember Primo at the Metro Boxing Gym above the Russian Bath house at Damon and Division in Chicago.Its gone now but it was the best gym and had most golden glove champions when it was in operation.
