Alright guys. So in today's video I am making minecraft in roblox. I made a lot of really cool features like placing and mining blocks, a default character, arms showing in first person and some more things. Hey DevKing, I'm making an egg hunt styled game, and need to know how to make a certain GUI. Can you make a video showing how to create a sort of pokedex, that tracks your badges. I've want it so, if you touch a part it gives you a badge. When you click on the pokedex or collection GUI, it shows all the eggs you have and the ones you dont have.

I wish you showed more of the scripts that you made in more detail, also your thought processes on how you solved different problems would be extremely helpful for us beginners! Cool video, earned a sub 😎.
All of this is relatively easy to do for any slightly advanced developer. I made a simular type of game (or at least started working on one) and faced these exact same issues.
Beginners should be focused on beginners' tasks, not on recreating Minecraft.
If you're bad at making games, don't think learning to make some sort of complex insane game will help you get better. It'll just tire you out more.
@@GalCon99 I feel like doing something that you don't already know how to do would be a good thing though. You won't get better at anything in life by only doing things that are at your level. The only way to improve is to try something that's a little bit harder than what you currently can do and learn how to do it. I'm not saying they should start any massive projects/finished games though until their more advanced because it could discourage them if they don't finish, but it could be good for them to make a small demo of something advanced because it will force them to learn a lot while their making it, and they won't ever get to be advanced if they only do beginner projects. And anyways, even for someone who's advanced, TDK might have a different way of doing it that you didn't think of

Nice! Although I don't think making a part for every block is a good idea it all due to performance issues. Instead, you could have checked when if there are more than 2 blocks on one of every side of a block, you create a new part that covers these 2 parts, and then you delete the other 2. When a player wants to mine a block, you re-add the part. I would also highly recommend turning on streaming enabled.

Idea: You drive a D40LF bus around the map and drift it until it says "Yay it's my birthday!" Then you say "Happy Busday!" Then the bus comes up and smiles at you.
Ideas for the game :
1) make different noise when you hit the block : when you hit wood it do a noise but when you hit grass it does another noise which sound more la grass then wood
2) make different durability for material like wood should be harder to break then leaf
3) add a little cool down between placing each block like 0.5 sec so that it avoid everyone spaming block everywhere
4) obviously make a UI but you already said that you will make it
5) and the actual wood texture more looks like a plank texture , for the trees you should make another texture which look more like trunk you know
6) make a little pretty spawn with indestructible blocks so that players can't ruin/destroy the spawn
7) make it so that when you die you keep your inventory , some type of keep_inventory:true
