Got mine done today for the first time today. Needed this.
I’m 73 and getting my 2nd lash extensions, since I sleep on my left side I don’t have many extensions on that side so I ordered an eye mask, getting my lashes done Friday. I did get the foaming lash shampoo to clean my lashes and have cleansed them twice a day.
Gurlllllll! First of all you are drop dead gorgeous 😍. Secondly this was super helpful!!!
Lydian Feliciano awe thank you! Glad I could help 🥰
I dont thoroughly wash my lash extensions the way you have done it here. I keep mine on usually for about 4 weeks and by then a lot has fallen out LOL. My biggest problem is I am afraid to brush my lashes. I will try these tips. Thanks Daisha.
No problem! I think when you don’t wash them the oils from your skin builds up and causes the glue to break down faster. As long as you brush carefully it should be fine. Hopefully it helps!
Daisha, washing my eye lashes from week 1 like you did it here made them fall out less and my lashes look good and I'm in Week 5 now. Doing my fill tomorrow. Thank you for the great tips.
@@raquelfloris4911 aye! I’m glad to hear that!! ❤️❤️❤️
this was super helpful . i have sensitive skin so sometimes lashes make my eyelids peel or crust which make them itch and have bad retention but the solution i found for that was just everyone i see some peeling (usually when i wake up) i take a q tip and some aquaphor and massage my lids with it . works great
Just be careful with the Aquaphor because I believe the petroleum jelly in the formula can loosen the bonds of the glue on the lashes
I guess I learned today 🤣 I didn’t know that, I guess because I don’t wear lashes but if I decide to I now know what to do. Thanks Daisha💕
no prob! glad to help
I dont wear lashes but I had to watch to support and all that good stuff
Faith Fayton awe thank you! I appreciate it ❤️❤️❤️
Why am I watching this😂 my lashes aren’t very long but it’s mascara for me for life. I like the simple life
Wow, can't believe your lashes look so full! I've got mine for about 13 days and there are some gaps.
Websites say that you need to get shorter lashes and get them properly done. I am not sure at this point if she did something wrong or I did not took care of it. I only got a brush because she wanted to see if I want to continue to have them.
I have the one by one lashes, russian volume won't do good for my hooded eyes.
Mine always tend to rotate and get stuck, do you know how I can fix that?
Sorry for the late reply! If yours are rotating and getting stuck, maybe try shorter lashes. You can also carry a clean spooly around with you to comb them periodically through the day. Also I am NOT a professional lol. Just speaking from my own experience.
Thanks sis getting Mine done today , I appreciate you & this video 💗
I’m getting lash extensions this week for the first time so this was very helpful, thank you 💓 When you take a shower can you get your lashes wet? (especially if it’s a warm shower)
I wouldn’t get them wet for the first 48 hours but after that it’s okay. Just make sure you are drying them!
This video helped out so much! Thanks!💜
Thank you cause I was struggling
you're welcome!
I just got mine today. Might clean them tomorrow night. But I am worried 😂 Gonna watch this video a 1000 times first 😊😂
Good luck! I waited at least 24 hours maybe longer!
I waited 48 hours to get mine wet and they last longer when I wait 48 hours instead of 24. Check to see what works for you retention wise.
What kind of lashes

I have lashes also and this video was so helpful. The day you get them done, do you wash your face that day. I feel like my retention is bad because I have to wash my face before bed, just curious what you do. Thank you!
No the day I got them done I think I used a baby wipe to wash my face or went over my face very carefully with a wash cloth but you absolutely cannot get the lashes wet the first 24-48 hours
Definitely wait 48 hours at least before you wet them. The first time I had them done I wet then after 24 hours as instructed! Major FAIL
Daisha!! Great content.
najwa deckard thank yo!
They look beautiful on you
👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 keep moving forward✨
Great video! You're easy to relate to. I got mine today. When I say what the heck did I wait so long for! Wow! They're gorgeous. Girl did great. One question I forgot to ask and since I came across your vid-is ok to use my spool periodically few times a day on my dry lash, gently of course to keep them separated?
Yes. I think that would be okay. I did that a couple times when I had mine to keep them looking fresh if they happened to get clumped together
@@DaishaView thank you for responding. .last question. .opinion I'm curious for...do you wear mascara on bottom while you have lashes on? I know there's no need for it on top.
Susan Breedlove I don’t remember wearing any. I didn’t want to do anything extra to get the lashes dirty
I just got my first set done last week and the technician literally told me to wash them once a week.. one side shedded so bad the first night I’ve slept on the opposite side every night since and it still just continues to shed on that one eye it feels so naked already.
What kind of lashes
dang the first night! That's not good. I'm no professional but I would say that washing them only one a week is going to facilitate oil and dirt building up on them and cause them not to last!
Okay, same!!! I’m about ready to never get them again 😩
I got mine done for my bday and they all fell out in the first 2 days and looked NOTHING like the pictures she posted
Once a week?! I’ve done some research on this & that can really put you at risk of an infection. I had mine done and I think she said every three days but my eyes were itching a lot so I researched- there’s a reason you need to wash them daily.
what are the details on your lashes ?! 😍 like the curl type and length plsss lmk they look so niceeee
This was two years ago I have no idea 😅
Yours are so pretty and brows too🥰
Who can count how many times I say “lashes” in this video? 😅
Okay Daisha, lashes 26x's and lash 24x's! 👀
najwa deckard lol yooooo! I didn’t think anyone would actually count! You the realest
awww what can I say. It was fun to watch you again!
Thank you this was helpful
how am i suppose to sleep with lash extensions?
you sleep on your back or on the side
Salwa side
@@sheisjania i meant either on the back or on the side hahaha
Salwa lol it’s okay but i do sleep on my side
Great content! Are you wearing mascara on your extensions
No maam! I wouldn’t not recommend that
I just feel like my lashes get messy and get in between one another and I hate that😭
They are probably too long then 😅
So someone like me who treat my under eyes with eye serums and oils would you suggest I get the extensions?
S P I’m not an expert, but I would say yes. I also treat my under eyes and face with serums and have no issues. I think maybe because I wash my face twice a day so it keeps the lashes as clean as possible.
You want to try to keep the oil away from ur lashes it’ll destroy the bond with the extension. If you do use oil try to be careful to avoid ur lashes if u use on the hood of ur eyes.. u hear her say oil free make up remover just try to avoid an oil coming into contact with your lashes ever and never use a waterproof mascara boo❤️ they should of told you if u had placement or maybe your just contemplating
Is it good to sleep with a satin sleeping mask?
Ty
Nice thanks for the update on this 👌👌
I have had lashes a number of times and have them currently, but I've never actually washed them. Does this not pull them off? I'm usually so gentle with them. Paranoid to lose them!
I haven’t had any issues and my skin is oily so if I don’t wash them the oil will break down the glue and make them fall off faster
I do all these things and still my lashes have never lasted more than two weeks no matter who I use it's upsetting
What do you mean by they don’t last more than two weeks? Like they ALL fall out?
@@DaishaView idk about her but for myself personally, by 1 week I already need a fill & have huge gaps. I wash them daily like my tech recommends but my retention sucks. I literally go weekly for a fill but that's so much $$
I am confused. Why is she putting water all over eyes? That makes your false lashes come off. The longest my lashes last is a little over a week. I just mine done 2 days ago and griffin ready my right lashes are coming off. I got them done at a nail salon. Wtf am I doing wrong? Typically how long do they last is what I want to know?
Nope! It doesn’t make them come off. I don’t put water the first 24-48 hours but I do make sure to wash them every day after that. Your skin gets oily and if you don’t wash them the oil will break down the bonds in the glue and make them come off faster. I can’t remember how long I said they lasted in the video. I believe it was 2 weeks or 2.5. Also I believe lashes done in a nail salon and lashes done by a nail tech are different. The ones in a nail salon may not last as long
Your probably getting cluster lashes if there only lasting for a week . They aren’t the actual lash extensions . Clusters last up to a week and are the ones you shouldn’t get wet too much. I know cluster lashes are done in nail salons and usually take no more than 20 minutes. However lash extensions typically take anywhere between 2-3 hours. So you should look into if you want to continue getting clusters. They’re not as healthy for the lashes either.
How many fills should I get before getting a new set?
I’m not sure. I’ve heard you can just keep getting fills. I would ask your lash tech though to be sure
Avoid wearing makeup🥴 I wear makeup almost daily 😩
You are so beautiful
I just got my lashes done and my eyes keep getting watery how can I stop that
sometimes it happens! happens to me as well. your eyes could be sensitive to the glue or the foreign object. i would just keep blotting it whenever they get watery but i'm not sure there is any way to stop that other than not getting lashes
infill babe
Do u wash it with hot or cold water. I take hot showers what do you recommend
Warm, but I wash my face at the sink not in the shower
What about hot yoga ???
Which specific Urban Skin RX soap are you using in this video?
Your sets are gorgeous 😍😍
What eyelash cleanser do you recommend?
Whew thats alot to do before bed lol. Ima just stick to using mascara. Nice video though!
😂 once you get in the routine it’s not that bad. And it’s kind of mixed in with my skin care routine as well. I couldn’t keep up with getting the lashes done though! I just wear strips whenever I need a little extra oomf lol
