That's pretty ironic how the Issi Sport is more of a rally car and the Issi Rally is more of a sports car. If Rockstar swaps the names, both car will have a name that properly fulfills their main purpose.
This reminds me of how Rockstar named a few OG contact missions. Rooftop Rumble takes place in a parking garage and you never step foot on a roof, while you are on a roof for the entirety of a mission called The Parking Garage.
The major issue for me, besides R* now utilizing FOMO in their dripfeed, is the massive price tag. Base cost + HSW upgrades + cosmetic upgrades = almost $3 million.
Between a hit and a miss, I knew this car would be a "miss" the moment i learned that the name had "Rally" in it. It's like most of the times they make a car with a suffix that indicates what the car is meant for, the car will inevitably suck at it, or just not be that good about it: Armoured Kuruma: Blows up in a explosion Issi Rally: Sucks at Rally Tropos Rallye: Sucks at Rally Peyote Gasser: sucks at drag racing Youga Classic 4x4: Not a 4x4, sucks at off-roading Drift Tampa and Drift Yosemite: sucks at drifting(low grip tires rectified that though)
@@wldn9055 understeers way too much and lacks power, Omnis takes laps around it and then there's the other rally cars that been added later which are also faster. I think even the OG 4-door Sultan is faster than it off-road.
Lol no it isn’t, the Tropos is an excellent rally car and on par with the Omnis in off road races. It’s significantly better than the sultan off road. The tropos came at a time when the handling of a car actually did match its name/styling
I think even with a lower OTL and maybe an offroad_abilities flag (for the bush immunity) the name still wouldn't make sense because in stock form it's not a rally car, it's _just_ an SUV. Sure, it has modifications to make it look more like a rally car but using that as a reason to call it "Issi Rally" is a bit like calling the Nebula Turbo "Nebula Drift Missile" because it has modifications to turn it into one
When I said the same thing before this car was released folks laughed at me. This should have been called "Issi Sport" and the Issi Sport should have been called "Issi Rally". Given the stats it has, even with all customization options, this isn't much more of a glorified go-getter. Coming to think of it, not even "Issi Sport" would feel proper here. There's also the engine sound, but that's more of a minor gripe of mine than anything.
Well, they based it on the Mini John Cooper Works WRC, built to celebrate (i.e. cash in on) the Countryman's few years in the WRC so we know why it has the name. However, it sounds like it really is not much of a rally car in game so maybe they should have just made a play on 'country man' and called it the Issi Squire, Issi Farmer or whatever ...
They really dont even try anymore to not make it look like the car its originally based on (ie a mini countryman) its literally a straight copy these days
I'm just under the assumption that the name is a parody of all the real life car manufacturers bastardising classic model names to use on modern generic SUVs, and the traction loss being the same as all the standard cars is just a commentary on how said SUVs have no off roading creditials at all. Maybe I'm reading too much into what is either just laziness or incompetence, but it's more fun to assume this is intentional.
Ive not been able to drive the issi rally 😒. Internet has been limited for the last two weeks and it'll still be limited Wednesday. So I opted in to giving me trusted friend of mine my email and password. But so far just seeing other people drive it. I'm not liking the handling. It's a pet peeve of mine if the wheels don't turn that much when you turn i just don't like it. It's not that the issi rally doesn't have redeeming qualities it does. I like the look of it. But at the same time the turning is kind of annoying.
The brakes are bad, it's too twitchy, too expensive and the FOMO tactics leave a bad taste in my mouth. I still drive mine to and from the casino sometimes (I like the Clubman and R* are probably never going to give me a New Beetle or PT Cruiser lol) but consistently get into more accidents than in my Comet S2 Cabrio, Panthere, Brioso R/A, Weevil or even my Panto. Still wonder when PC players are getting the S95... I might as well just install FiveM and would if I knew I could still play GTAO story missions lol.

I just went ahead and bought the hsw version from the car meet area.

This is my new favorite SUV in the game love it in a Stock looking configuration
