Donald O'Connor was an Irish-American tenor singer who was a regular on the Jack Benny radio show. He sang and also played a nice, innocent young man. I believe, in real life, he was happily married and had at least 10 children. He is out of character in this one.
And boy could he DANCE! Watch 'Singing in the Rain' if you can find it. The guy is freaking amazing. And yes, this definitely IS out of character in this episode.
I find this particular episode to be the most disturbing Ive heard so far (listening in order). Its also one of my favorites, if only because I like the main character so much. Its really a shame these episodes were so short, an outstanding and/ or out-standing character can really carry an otherwise banal story to excellence. Excellence like Americas favorite wine; ROMA Wine, thats R.O.M.A. made from only the finest grapes picked at the peak of freshness and carefully crafted by the most transcendant vintners the world has known, enlightened by bacchus himself in the ancient methods of the art. Thats ROMA wine, made in california for enjoyment around the world.
@@nedludd7622 "Its first vintage, a dry white wine in 1884 won Grand Prize at the 1889 Paris Exposition, becoming the first California wine to win a competition in France. The victory also assured the future of the California wine industry, which had fallen upon hard times." Neato! Theyve got some great advertising too, but Ill still be looking for my roma wine memorabilia first.
Smiley is scary! Good binge listening during pandemic May 2020!
This story Peanut Brittle and Short Order are the reasons became a fan of the Suspense Radio series, the acting, pacing and stories were enthralling.

Hahaha. Looks like the ads are still effective on modern audiences 😁
Very.
Cresta Blanca, co-sponsor of some episodes, was actually a very reputed winery going back to the 19th century.
