Young Fathers, 'Old Rock 'n' Roll' @ Stirling Castle, Stirling 29.6.29

One week ago, I was seeing my favourite modern band, Young Fathers, in their home country. I'd organised a week's holiday in the Highlands and then came down to Glasgow for the weekend with a train journey to Stirling to see Young Fathers who had put together a summer session of bands they'd picked.
While there was an annoying moat between the barrier and the band, and it was rather chilly for late June, I was still enraptured in their intense, sensual world of visceral power. God, I love this band.
Here I recorded G wailing his lungs out at the start of the song before shouting, 'For fuck's saaaaaaake!'. The Scottish fans knew the routine and sang along to this preamble precisely. This is an older song and contains lines that only Young Fathers could write and sing - "Some white men are black men too".
