The character who threw ashwathama could be bheem and there's a reason he wore that white clothes. Cuz, the day before he launches brahmastra to uttara's womb, he(ashwathama) killed all the sons of pandavas even though the war is over( dhuryodhana getting killed) as a sign of revenge. He actually wanted to kill pandavas in their sleep but they turned out be pandavas sons. So, pandavas might still be mourning(As Mohit mentioned) and when they come to attack ashwathama, after knowing that he killed pandavas sons, he(ashwathama) becomes extra happy and also makes sure that no generation is left out. Then, he launched that brahmastra. After this whole thing, Bheema might become enraged to throw ashwathama to distance.

In the books there are two boys and those rat catchers asks Halena to choose between those two boys. Halena chooses to kill the small son thinking that he is small and older one is the heir. But those people kills the elder one and younger one remembers that his mom chose him to die.
In the books it's so mucn dark. The showrunners couldn't do justice to the scene.

I love the trailer and am so excited to watch it A.B and kaml sir looks so fire and the their origin stories are represented so beautiful.....but is it wierd that in a prabhas movie I am hyped for anyone except prabhas all is scenes till now are genric masala type maas scene...for me personally without any offence to any prabhas fan someone like ramcharan or any other actor who can display more emotions would have been good for bhairava.

Not only that Daemon is the only character whose all 4 children survives and 2 boys later became king. In my opinion everyone lost in the dance of the dragon but Daemon is the only one for whom I can say that he kinda won like he killed Aemond and the biggest dragon in the world, secured Rhaenyra's place as queen in the fall of the king's landing, lived his life somewhere with all his kids surviving and becoming kings.

If you realise the character transformation jo change of heart waala phase hai woh quite similar jaisa sound kar raha hai like Baahubali part 1. Bhairava change of heart bahaut baadmein karega and Ashwatthama has few fight parallels to Kattappa fighting Shivudu in part 1.
