Thank you for the tutorial. Have a question. What is the difference configuring Windows failover cluster, and then installed SQL failover cluster on that scenario vs enabling always on availability ? By enabling always on, we do get more flexibility over SQL db operations ?
Hi thank you for your contribution. Can you please also make a prerequisite video for this video in which you create such vmware workstation environment from scratch that is installing vmware workstation 11 and making 3 VMs installing Windows server on each, making active directory domain controller and bringing all the VMs under one domain. Because I am having trouble to create such environment and unable to find related tutorials.
Hi! I have two important questions. In this configurations both databases (primary and secondary) are read-write? When i want to connect to database "Demo" i should to use cluster name as SQL server name in connection string?
Hi, I really like your videos. They help me a lot. Sorry for putting a feature request video here, but I could really need your advice and demo on migrating databases and user credentials from SQL Server 2012/Win2012R2 to SQL Server 2017/Win2016 using Microsoft SQL Server Migration Assistant (SSMA). Full migration from 1 server to an other, or even to Azure SQL.
I have a problem appeared about validation to create availability group is (( Checking for compatibility of the database file location on the secondary replica resulted in an error.(Microsoft.SqlServer.Management.HadrTasks))
what Happened if SQL-node01 is crashed completely and never repair. Should I have to build new machine and re-create HA with SQL-node2? is that easy fix or not?
My Fileshare Quorum errror even gave permission etc . any other settings. Ok , during SQL-node-1 RW and others are Synchronize Read only, when Node-01 crashed do other elected nodes SQL-node02 , SQL node-03 would write as primary node SQL-01?
Then..what is the role of WSFC here?.. I didn't saw any use of it here... because failover happened as of mirroring. Please clear my confusion here.. thanks in advance
Hi, I have a quick question. I am fairly new at this, and I am having trouble attempting to figure out where the SQL-Admin@VICTORINFOSSOL.COM instance is coming from when you are creating the fileshare witness folder.. Is it just an user account you've created prior to the recording or is it something else? Thanks in advance for your clarification!
Great tutorial to understand how it works and how to config. Thanks a lot!
Glad it was helpful!

+Nitish Agarwal welcome and thanks
This video was very helpful in getting me started . Thanks.
Thanks for your feedback, Glad to know its helped you.
Good basics with minimal setup. You may shrink the video time by skipping the installation times (sql server, cluster etc) out of video.
Thanks sure will try....

Can I use other numbering for the SQL ports?
