This thing was in the shipyard for 30 steel, which was a surprisingly low price. By far, my favorite cruiser...and she does function as a Battlecruiser. Main Guns are often overlooked, but they are good, especially in AP. The HE is nearly useless as they don't do much damage for the reload time, and the things you would need to use HE on will destroy you easily, such as Vermonts or Großer Kurfürsts. Typically, from experience, cruisers are a good target as the combination of AP Mains and SAP Secondaries allows you to do massive amounts of damage to a single target. Destroyers aren't a huge problem because of the SAP Secondaries and your somewhat reasonable rudder shift. The combination of overconfidence and lack of Sonar is probably what can get you destroyed early. Like what Terry said, Napoli is a large target everyone wants to shoot at. Edit- I removed irrelevant parts, I explained how I avoided 2 destroyers rushing me while in Napoli. Edit 2- 18:47 that smoke time.....
I usually dislike supercruisers (the "cruiser" classification end of the battlecruiser role), since they often combine the manoeuvrability of a battleship with the lack of armour and range of a cruiser. Which means you have to play more aggressively than you can afford to get anything done. Napoli is one of the few exceptions. She can actually get all her armaments engaged at 9km, and has the speed and fuel smoke to compensate for the relative lack of armour. The AP on the mains is good indeed, but I often find myself firing it off early on, then running the secondary overload and focusing on the secondaries exclusively. I'll need a separate commander for her, since most of Sansonetti's skills aren't a good fit. Just imagine those secondaries with the accuracy skill, they'll behave like GK's pre-nerf. And the high arcs mean even the 90 mils tend to pen BB superstructure.
I agree. She can easily 1v1 more moderate BBs like Montanas or Republiques. But the heavier BBs like Vermonts and GKs easily tank her damage and destroy her. You might be able to take down a Vermont, but there is no chance against a GK. Schlieffen and Vincent are out of the question to, cuz one has DD torp loadouts and one is just OP af
I am now watching this and the feeling that Terry is getting from playing the ship is the same feeling us PC players get when playing it on the official WOWS 😅
Forget what Terry said, this is a really baaaad ship! *jealous because i don't have enought ressources to get my hand on it + i don't want more of them in front of me while playing CL =)
@@FunandGameswithTerry lol i wonder when a mahan smoke up in our team and his smoke screen lasted till the end of the game... chat was like cheater cheater!
The Napoli secondaries arcs are spectacular at hitting deck and superstructure, except they feel kinda weird on destroyers cuz of the high trajectory though😢 also they’re SAP, so…
DDs can be a tick annoying, but they can't rush you due to torps, and the 150s do a lot of damage. The sheer number of shells those secondaries spit out usually deter most DDs, and AP full pens at 7-8km
I like the Napoli personally - it’s what a t10 premium German cruiser should be! 😂 The only thing I would change in it is to have AP/SAP mains as the HE is useless (positively German HE). Got it from the shipyard for 30 steel when it was on in January I believe, definitely worth it. As was the February deal of Colbert for around 20 titanium if i remember correctly.
Agreed, I never really warmed up to the German supercruisers. I'm OK with her not having SAP mains due to the calibre, that would be too harsh on DDs. It's a good balance imo.
Yeah, it's a known bug, I've seen it happening a few times. I generally don't abuse it myself, same with islands clipping bugs. I've reported this particular instance already to WG
Actually, (april 24) she is in Shipyard for 35 steel. I thing the price is OK, Im grinding to have mine. As they said - "see Napoli and die" (on board).
@@FunandGameswithTerry it’s 35 steel, and fuck I only have 21. I will have more later since I have to complete the battle honors for the Kidd and California

I know I’m late to the party on the video, but I am running my Napoli with the same set up but newer Marco Materazzi legendary commander. On your press account, what skills would you run him with?
@@FunandGameswithTerry I suck at legends. 65% in blitz and barley 50% in legends. I think everything to do with commanders. Those guys been playing for a while and got top tier commanders with all perks and stuff.
It would also be cool to make a video about “smooth transition” for mobile players - can’t even imagine what would it be tbh. Grinding Russian cruisers and it’s not going well. Last game got one-shoted without anyone being spotted… and I was no where close to front line… 30 sec into the game… painful
Current event has an legendary commander Marco Materazzi who seems to be specifically for Napoli except no 6th sense. Getable for those who spend allot of time playing.
The 6th sense is a very underrated skill for aggressive ships, but I'll need to check out that commander on press, don't think I'll have the time to do that on my personal 😅

I've shied away from PC so far, since those games are huge time sinks, and I'm more focused on the mobile market here. Legends is probably a good compromise.
You may have picked that up on the California review, it's one of Dewey's legendary skills. He reduces the duration, but adds two charges and halves the cooldown. This allows taking the survivalist skill, instead of adding an extra PA charge.
Hey Terry I know it has nothing to do with the video but I got Sansonetti from the event crate and im not sure wich ship use it better I know it is bis in venezia but I was wondering if that sap+ skill is good for the Cristoforo Colombo too.
I did a video on Sansonetti recently, discussing the SAP skill as well: ua-cam.com/video/fIrJ3bzqpcA/v-deo.html In my opinion, it's not a skill worth taking on the BBs, since it won't make SAP viable, and the difference in alpha is too small. On the cruisers, it kinda works.
How is it a battle cruiser with arguably worse armor than the hindenburg? Horrific bow/stern and deck. Less range(camo) and much less dpm than the Schroder secondaries as well. At least it has smoke and torps though...but always faces tier 10.
