自分の目標は、日本に日常に日本語をうまくやって使う、英語を使うことがない。漫画とかアニメとかげームを日本語でわかりやすいやりたい。それは目標です。
日本人のおじいちゃんみたいに話すから、すごい。
このビデオを見て日本人の私は第三言語を学ぼうと決意しました。今年から留学生でタイの人が入学したのでこれをチャンスだと思い、タイ語を勉強します。
今日本語を勉強していますが、いつか私もタイを勉強したいです。

読む、読めないと聞いても分からない
聞く、時間を増やす
話す、自信がつく
文法、正しく、正しく
書く、重要性は低いし、書き言葉と話し言葉は同じでも良い
文化、その国の言葉で文化を知る

@@cameronhubberstey6039 Γειά σου! Εγώ είμαι από την Ελλάδα, είμαι Έλληνας. Χαίρομαι πολύ που μαθαίνεις Ελληνικά. Σίγουρα, (for sure/granted) δεν είναι εύκολα τα Ελληνικά, δεν είναι εύκολη γλώσσα τα Ελληνικά. Όμως, σιγά-σιγά (but, little by little), αν προσπαθείς πολύ, στο τέλος είμαι σίγουρος ότι θα τα καταφέρεις! Καλή δύναμη (good luck/stay strong)!

私がびっくりしたことはスティーブが文法を大事にしない。一般的に学校では文法が先来るよね。日本語の倍は読むのが話すより難しいですから、私の日本語の学び順番がスティーブのとちょっと異なります。I first studied words then grammar and then practiced speaking a lot. Reading is harder when you can’t invest tons of time into learning kanji. 私は日本語の前に中国語勉強した事ないから。しかし、人によって違うよね。ビデオ面白かった！ありがとう

Question: What are your thoughts on trying to learn two DIALECTS of a language? Is it a good idea or would it be too difficult to separate them?
I’ve gotten pretty good at Mexican Spanish and my vocabulary and slang is very obviously Mexican influenced, but my girlfriend is from Nicaragua and there they use ‘Vos’ instead of ‘Tu’ and of course they have some differences in vocabulary, slang, and expressions. I would like to learn to speak Nicaraguan Spanish when I talk with her, both to let her know that I am interested in learning about her culture and also to make her feel better about being away from home since she doesn’t have any other Nicaraguan friends that live in our area. But I also really love Mexican Spanish and it’s more useful in our area. I want to learn to switch between the two. Is that possible or would it be too difficult trying to separate them in practice?

Hi Steve, Can your developer fix the playlist Android bug (1. Cannot repeat the whole playlist, only the last lesson; 2. Cannot play a lesson from the beginning, it starts from the middle of it somewhere, possibly somewhere I left off with) first? I cannot even start Steve's method (a lot of listening) after several weeks I subscribed into LingQ because of this. Thanks in advance.
Hi Steve, I am a 57-year old man. It has been a year since I started learning Japanese in May 2021. I find it's difficult to keep my progress. Sometimes I felt lapse behind of the class schedule. The major issues are conversation and listening. I don't have an environment so I can practise speaking Japanese. In fact, I am in Hong Kong. Do you have any suggestions?
I learn most of my languages where I have little chance to speak. Do more listening and reading. Find things of interest, books, youtube, Netflix, whatever. Get on LingQ. Have a conversation once or twice a week online with a tutor. Keep going and don't be too hard on yourself.
