@@TomButwin "Soon" according to the dealer. PRS is being a bit cagey on exact times they say. They will get a couple in, and I get first crack at selecting one of them, so I will play them both and pick the one I like... and I'll get to see how similar they are to each other.
I already have a core, so I might also AB it right there at the shop.

Got mine in last week. Love it! Resonates forever. I love the Stratoblaster as well.
Neck feels a bit different than my core SS. Tone is a bit different as well.
My Dead Spec is actually lighter than my core.
It is odd, but PRS included the trem arm in my case candy even though the trem hole is purely cosmetic LOL!
@michaelvarney9304 that’s hilarious! I guess they didn’t want a bunch of extra trem arms hanging around the shop. So cool.
So is this the same feature as on the Clapton Sign. Strat? And a bit of Brian May’s Treble booster?
I can’t speak to the Brian May booster, but it’s different than the Clapton. Clapton’s is a 25db midrange boost. The Alembic is somewhere between 3-14db of overall boost. I’m sure it’s shaped somehow with EQ, but to my knowledge it isn’t heavy in one particular frequency, like the Clapton Strat is with mids.

what is up with the trem?? so is this version not usable? i liked how they put the trem against the body versus floating, but have they just thrown in the towel at this point and achored it with the screws? just make a hard tail?
Screwed down with a string through body. I think Jerry Garcia may have had a guitar like that and it was the inspiration.
The silver sky's (Every edition) pickup is very scooped.
It's really not for everyone, especially the clean tone.
