Saying farewell to the kea

My time with the kea has sadly come to an end as I am heading off overseas for 2022, so it is time to say farewell.

Before I go, I wanted to give the birds a final farewell / Christmas gift, so I brought in the clothes and boots that I have been wearing while working with them for the past year and left them out for the birds to destroy!
It goes without saying, please don’t do this yourself, as even under careful supervision accidents can still happen and birds can choke on small parts, which might require immediate interference or veterinary attention.
