Looks like he’s been at it for a little while! Has complete control of that saw, which is perfectly sharp!!
Thank you for comment my friend 🍀👏👏👏
@GardenandForest top muito bom
I like this a lot! No screwing around. Safe, fast, efficient.
Other videos I watch guys are always screwing around when it comes to bucking a tree.
saya Indonesia salam kenal
what a beautiful stand of woods. Licking my lips
This is the kind of work I'm wanting to get into.
👏👏👏
It's not an easy living but it's extremely exciting. I get a major rush every time I drop a tree, it never gets old.
The hinge cut was nothing short of amazing. Really hard to be so accurate on a complex shaped tree. Brilliant 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for comment my friend Tony!
Actually, that's an easy tree. It had a protruding spur off both sides of the face, which if executed right, which is basically what he did, can be used for the hinge points and you get zero chance of fiber pull in the logs. I cut very high end veneer trees, white oak and walnut mostly. Those are cut with "postage stamp" hinges or more often no hinge at all on trees 3 or more feet in diameter and still smash a pop can fifty feet away. Why we get paid the big bucks.

Hard work !I did that back when I was 22years young . Had a large tree kick back and broke both bones left leg, laid me up 8 weeks.
Which is what makes me nervous watching him not take a 45 degree escape route to step back a bit as the tree was falling. Excellent cutter but trees can kick back when they fall and hit the ground and whatever might be lying on it.
Felled trimmed and cut up to size in just under 15 mins., wow!
Sharp chain. Wow. He is the man! We harvester operators are nothing against these manual guys 👌
Thank you very nice comment.
I think it’s cool how good you are with that short of bar hello from USA 🇺🇸
I bet it's not the first time he's felling a tree. Amazing professional work. Congrats!
Thank you for comment my friend!!!
INTELIGENT CUTTING👏👏👏
Excellent work with a small bar.
What that kind of tree?
@@arnoldmapa7693 fir
I like where he just cut it down and didn't fu** around for 10min.
Indeed 👍
I learned to fall west coast timber by apprenticing with an experienced logging crew. Bucking, filing, setting chokers, and finally falling trained for 2 months before they put me on my own falling. I love my job...best job in the world falling trees! this timber is grade A lumber nice spruce!
Me and the boys used to go camping every summer in northern Alberta, it was a right of passage for anybody new to chop down a tree by hand with an axe, good hand blistering times 🤘🏻
Lll
Small harvester and very good work in the forest very effectively
A hard worker with skills of harvesting logs of timber.
I smell the good smell of 2 stroke and resin from the spruce☺️
Wanted to tell you a couple of things. First we have so much work to do that we hired a couple of young guys to apprentice and hopefully stay on full time as our little family run Logging Operation has really taken off far FAR better than we hoped but anyway I started them both out with the On line Video Course that All Canadian west coast loggers have to take. Once they finished those and passed the actual in the Timber safety and how to part of the course... (they would watch 4 hours of Videos and a written test then the last 4 hours of the day they were out in the woods with our Son and I putting what they learned to use) ...our Son and I will alternate them between us as we work till they have learned all the proper and safe ways to fall timber.
I also show them some of the Videos of your Friend ( the little harvester ) as you call him and one other friend of ours who does you tube videos of their family logging operation as well so they can see how others do things. It's turned out so far to be working great....both young guys are smart and want to do things the right way and are hard workers and both understand just how dangerous this way of earning a living can be if your not on your toes and paying attention all the time.
Thanks to you both for sharing what we all love to do.
@Michael Fresh yes they did after me spending about a week with them tagging along watching my Son and I.
They actually took off real well till the Whole Carona Virus thing put a hitch in our get along. One of them lived with his Maternal Grandparents and his grandfather was at serious risk due to health issues so he decided to stay home and help them out (a decision we stood behind telling him his job will be here if he still wants it after all this is over) and the other young guy is still working with us every day and a very bright young guy. If he is a representative of his generation.....were in good hands.
@Michael Fresh
Just thought I would give you a little update,
The other young guy we hired came back to work just about the time we were really needing him back or hire on someone else, anyhow his Sister moved back here from Northern California and she is taking care of the Grandparents and our young guy (Eddie) and his girlfriend rented a nice cabin not too far from our home and Shop and boy is it ever nice having them both back to work full time. My Son runs the Cutting crew and I run the harvester and skidder and when they run up against something they are not sure of they walk away as we taught them and then later maybe that same day or week we make a learning lesson out of it like a field class....( You should have seen their eyes when I got the PERFECT chance to show what a barber chair is and why it kills so many....so fast)...anyhow were working 2 weeks straight then I give them 2 days in a row off but the Son and I we just keep plugging along cause we know the wind and storms are coming and besides if we need a day or afternoon off we just grab our Rifle an go hunting or Fishing Rod an go fishing...the fall when the tourists go home and the water gets cold again is the best time here to catch Trout and we love to eat 'em so we put what we is legal to have in our freezer every fall, that plus we Elk & Deer hunt with Bow and rifle every time we get a chance...so there is plenty of days off coming.....gotta cut while the cutting is good.
Every log on our landings have already been graded, tagged numbered and sold, were just waiting till the Mill calls telling us to bring em in before we start loading out.
I have been a logger on the west coast of British Columbia for 44 years. Never have I heard of a course that "all Canadian west coast logger have to take"
Where do you get this information from?
@@nobodythatyouknow241
Dear Brother Nobody,
I have seen enough on UA-cam to have that same impression. I thought both BC & Alberta had course requirements.
Well I tell you what: in any case if these young men will be safe and productive loggers, then whatever the training is, will be worthwhile.
Do you carry a whistle?
This guy makes it look it easy. In all reality, I bet this is back-breaking work. I would think that in order to do this work you would have to be tough as nails
Tree felling is very good ❤
A man on a mission, nice work !!!
Amaizing safety first in work,
That is one BAD ASS sharp chainsaw in the hands of a MASTER .
Thank you for comment Roman!!!👏👏👏
What kind of saw is it
# Itz like, DAVID FELLING GOLIATH ! Nice watching ! Enjoyed ! All the BEST ! Backbone of the INDUSTRY !
Man, that is some beautiful wood.
Nice trees .. I think a 24" bar would be helpful felling and bucking that tree.
Don't know why all other youtubers, spend all day to falling one tree, this is good job
Lol ye
That is a happy little chainsaw! Thank you for sharing. Have a blessed day.

Jakob Pelz ,
Straight logs very few limbs wish all my trees were like that.
Small Chainsaw but can cut big tree. you are so skill . good job .
Yes very good job. Well done 👏
Thank you for comment my friend!
I bet the smell was really nice. Fresh wood and gasoline. I love it.
I was worried about kick back. He never moved from the stump. Did that once and had tree kick back, butt hit my saw which i had used to block my chest. Smashed saw, I was down for a bit with wind knocked out of me. Whistle does no good when you can't blow, lol
Very nice technique,,,
Good job friend,

i pray to god every night to get flat and clean parcels to do my job, instead all i get are ravines and lot of branch twigs and small vegetation to make me hate my job
You are a Beast and work that saw with skill
"This little harvester is a real 'forest worker'! Despite its compact size, its performance in the forest is extremely impressive. It really proves that size doesn't always matter! What do you think of its performance?"
Thank you for interesting comment my friend!!!👏👏👏🔥🍀
Technique is good and he works efficiently but I would opt for a slightly longer bar, looks like an 18" but a 24" would serve him better for those size trees
Since I was a teenager. I was a woods cutter and very like to worked with woods.
nádhera tak to má vypadat
Díky kámo ze komentář.Lesu zdar!
You are able to carry logs of trees of any length you want by the hooks machine.

i am a cable technician. I recently tried helping a friend cut down a 50 or so foot tree branch by branch because its in a residential area. I think its the toughest and most underpaid jobs. I dont understand why anyone would even consider it. The salary is low, the work is extremely hard and dangerous, and you constantly need to invest in tools
why do people become lumberjacks i dont get it? Very low pay considering the demanding physical labor and danger
