Those who brings their bulls to these type of sports is to show their bulls competence and strength and to their pride so they are knowingly or unknowingly breeding the top bulls to the native cows and produce more and more native breeds and also increase the milk production locally so there is no scarcity of milk, so that foreign companies won’t have to supply milk and as well as their breed cannot enter the area to match the scarcity of milk. jallikattu is our tamil pride, our culture has been conducting this sports for a thousand years, the cows are grown by it's caregiver as a member of their own family and when it dies naturally, they raise a temple around it and conduct pooja on it's burial site every year just like they do for a family member.
