The Quezon City Government (QCG), through the Climate Change and Environmental Sustainability Department (CCESD), has been continuously working on improving the city's air quality through the development of the Quezon City Air Quality Management Plan (AQMP). Aligned with the commitment of the city to meet the World Health Organization Air Quality Guidelines, the Quezon City Air Quality Management (QC AQM) Project was implemented with Clean Air Asia to further realize its vision of better air quality for its citizens. The project was aimed towards developing a responsive and evidence-based AQMP which will provide a long-term program for the attainment of the city’s clean air objectives.
To further highlight the activities and the outcomes of the QC AQM Project, and in recognition of the efforts of the Quezon City Air Quality Technical Working Group, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders in the work towards air quality improvement, a culminating activity was co-organized by Clean Air Asia to emphasize the significance of having a collective and unified effort in reducing air pollution. The event also officially launched the Quezon City AQMP and discussed the next steps of Quezon City Government towards the city's air quality goals.
