Lyrics:
Sister sister
hold me
hold me
We will decode this world together
We will write our existence in
Because the planet will not survive
In the hands of toxic men
They try to divide us
To consolidate their gains
Cos sisterhoods a threat
To status, wealth, competition
Sister
Your hands on my shoulder
Your eyes searching mine
Peeling back the layers
And acres of time
Sister
Sister
I have been kicked in the gut
By women who took a leg up
Then refused to lend a hand
Who ignored or spat down on their sisters
I have been betrayed to profit, for status, over men
And I am scared to open myself up again
Cos I have never known a pain
Like sisterhood withdrawn
Of realising they were fake smiles
Or those hugs were all performed
True sisters fight
We don’t fear conflict
Cos that is how we learn
We always fucking grow from it
We must not weaponise theory against each other
We must allow each other rage, and fear, and mistakes
Sisterhood is the give as well as the take
Sister
Sister
I would be lost without sisters
Of both choosing and blood
Who’ve shared the truest friendship
Solidarity
Love
Goosebumps listening to this art
As always, the combination of lyrics and guitar work gives me goosebumps. Genius
The mass vocals on this are epic.
There's a hint of Envy to this track, so many gerseberms listening to it.
this is pure genius!!!
You know something, I can’t help but wonder about those 17 people who gave this video a ‘thumbs down’, seriously... WTF is those individuals’ problem?
3:08 holy shit
4.2k views ugh.
Songs fantastic, good work petrol girls
My wife’s son loves this !
❤❤❤
Grrrreat!
I am lacking of my sisters, I want to find them again
Fighting Sexism against woman with sexism against men....mhm yep!
This band could be so fuckin good with a good singer and better lyrics! The instrumental work is amazing
How are you threatened by solidarity between women?
@@Sirenensang "Because the planet will not survive

Cos sisterhoods a threat

this is my problem! Every men is toxic and tries to divide girls or sisterhoods. This is sexism against men. Replace "men" with "woman" and "Sisterhood" with "Brotherhood" and think about how the creators of this song or would react if they would read such lyrics!
@@TinoKlingenhauer They specifically call out *toxic* men, though. i don't know how you read that as *all* men. i think you're arguing in bad faith here. From experience, probably because you are one of these toxic men.
i love that replacement argument, as well. Yea, you could replace every mention of "men" with "bread" and it would be a silly song about women that don't like toxic bread. How would people react then!! Would there be shitty assholes jumping at them in the youtube comments??? Anyways, there are plenty of songs about brotherhood and that's just fine. Let women have a song about sisterhood, as well.
@@Sirenensang So if I sat down and wrote lyrics like
"Because the planet will not survive
In the hands of stupid woman."
This would be okay for you?
Tino Neumann "not all menz" eh? The sound of the point being missed matey! Loving this band, fresh voices giving no quarter to bullshit like yours!
Wow that is quite good music, but oh by Pandora what ugly messages there hide between the guitar riffs
The music and instrumentals are excellent in this, but being spoken to and screamed over completely ruin which is otherwise a terrific statement
