- Crazy how many watches were stolen at the Formula 1 race in Miami! In hindsight, we're glad that we didn't attend!
Included in the mix of luxury watches that were targeted at the race was a Richard Mille RM 004, worth over $200,000, which you will see in the video.
We also cover what is happening in the watch market and how much this bear market depends on the strong correlation with US stocks...Yup, the environment we're in is not an easy one. Nevertheless, we need to stay positive and will continue to at least get your mind off all the gloom and doom with our CRM Life episodes and other videos.

Already, the glorious Friday night episodes of CRM have become a way of life for me. A ritual aspect will now be added as soon as I receive my CRM sweater and my CRM coffee mug! With the virtual store now open (CRMmerch), we can now proudly wear the colors of our favorite family and spread the Good News! And boy, what a good news! More than ever, with all these dreadful watch thefts plaguing society, the positivism of Carlos and his family warms our hearts. Every week, as soon as the CRM logo appears with the sound effect of the burning match, the anticipation that intoxicates me makes me realize the same thing: no one ever comes close to CRM's little toe. It's almost unreal. Just take this week: Dan, the sublime and radiant Sandra and Raysa (Miss CRM) gave us a gift with a live video of almost an hour. A joy so immense crossed my soul that it was almost too much. Two long CRM videos in the same week! What did we ever do to deserve that! What emerges among other things from these videos is the human aspect of the job. The passion that inhabits the guests we are introduced to. In this video, at about the 10 minutes mark, the vocation and enthusiasm of the gentlemen that are interviewed by Dan is nothing but touching. But if anything should stand out from this week's video, other than the irresistible beauty of Betty (especially at 21:45 and 41:04... I got burned with my coffee again...), It is a form of insurance, in the sense of being reassured. CRM is in good hands. The beginning of the video focuses a lot on Charlie's expertise and customer service (Carlos, you have something to be proud of) and the end features my favorite member of this incredible family, Dan. The oak tree that no storm can shake. His way of entertaining and reassuring the troops, his calm way of explaining the future, preparing the ground... all this calm and serene confidence is an example to follow (which I myself apply to my work as a supervisor). The world can go off the rails, as long as CRM is at the helm, Good will win. As long as our glorious family graces us with their presence, we can wish everyday was Friday. We can wish everyday was CRM day.

Ditto for the technical or other difficulties or surprises that sometimes arise during the shoot: they are more often than not the opportunity for you guys to show your more comic side (like the famous complicit or bewildered look that Charlie often gives to the camera which cracks me up every time). Like you say, laughing and dancing are generally good remedies. Amen to that.

CRM is the most honest channel on UA-cam. At 41:28 Dan's analysis of the watch market downturn correlated to the downturn in the stock market is spot on, and impacts everyone (including the Top 1%). Dan also echoed my thoughts that there are other excellent brands that offer superior value.
Two quick general observations: 1) I think Betty was out late the night before so she wore her sunglasses indoors, and 2) the sales people wanted to be somewhere else (I am in sales & can relate) when Dan was presenting. Just saying...

I got my first Breitling in 2007 to celebrate that I survived an extremely advanced and severe Peritonitis, I had to be put in a coma and they all though I would die but I fought and survived. I walked around with my Breitling in, for example, the center of Amsterdam and it wasn't even a subject at that time to worry about it. But nowadays I don't even think about it walking with my Breitling in the center of Amsterdam, Utrecht, Den Hague, Rotterdam or at some other cities. I only wear my Breitling at birthday parties, weddings, going out to eat or at other parties like that.
I lived in Medellin, Colombia for more than 15 years and it's impossible to wear it there. They chop your hand off for a watch or kill you in Medellin. When we went to a big shopping mall or a party, birthday, family I wore it. When we left our home I put the Breitling in my pocket and took it out and put it on my wrist when we arrived and inside the place we went to. I sometimes wore one of my vintage Seiko (I'm a watch collector but not with high end pieces (yet!)) watches but I still had to watch our back constantly but I stopped doing that too because they were getting too much attention too.

Great show guys!. As a business owner and having gone thru many recessions, depressions, and crashes, if I may offer you some advice it would be is to focus on the brands that you are experts in. When I think of CRM I think of PP, AP, and Rolex, when you start focusing on other brands, you become like any other watch dealer and it dilutes your brand. Recessions are the time to gain market share and to dominate your competition. Dont go down the Omega, Tag Haeur rabbit hole. You will be consumed. If you are interested in adding brands, stay at the high end. Look into Lange and FP Journe. Both are high end and would fit well with your core group of watches. Love your content! Stay healthy and safe.

The move to start selling other brands is a very good idea. Zenith is one of the brands that I think have great potential in this difficult market. Dealers have no problem telling you your watch is worth 50% less, but refuse to lower their prices even though they bought at the top and the musical chairs has stopped. The watch bubble created from easy money from the stock market, flippers/investors and dealer to dealer games has popped. That watch graph is nothing, wait until dealers who need money start dumping which hasn’t even started yet because they’re still pushing the narrative that the market has bottomed out and will bounce back. Never believe someone who has the most to lose. ✌️
No market has bottomed out. The same flight to "safety" will occur in multiple markets, not just watches, as people panic sell. No market is immune.

Great episode guys ! I enjoyed the Friday business meeting showing the correlation with the stock market. The idea to try diversify with other less hyped brands is good and should make for a more robust business model although leading to inventory diversification. Usually Omega, Tag-Heuer, IWC and Cartier can be had brand new below retail hence it should be a different approach. Also, that’s more watches models to learn about. Please note that Cartier is becoming more popular and this year it overtook Omega in the sales ranking… I just arrived in Paris, got my Omega Seamaster in titanium. The 007 connection is just a tiny engraving on the case back so it’s ok. On the titanium Milanese bracelet, it sells retail for €9,600, got it at €7,099.20 so -26% when combining -15% from the AD and -13% as I export it and get part of the VAT tax back. During the past I got -20 to -30% from AD plus I was always exporting and claiming the 13% portion of VAT tax back. Over the years that’s how I bought all my new watches except my Santos which I got when I was 19 years old through a Swiss connection at a flat -50% so wholesale price 😉. What about vintage ? Vintage needs a lot of expertise but it usually slowly appreciate with time and sudden up & down swings are more limited.

Love you guys. For me personally I would love to see more of lifestyle content. You guys going out to eat, Cardos and Mrs CRM on a date. I love the ones where you’re on the boat. I love seeing the babies. Obviously you have to mix watch content in there and I like that too. But honestly this one was not quite up to your standards because it was all pretty much in the shop. If we just love you guys for who you are we will choose to buy watches from you. You should look at grand Seiko. Fantastic watch for the money. I haven’t even seen Charlie’s apartment since he moved in. I think you should push the gold chains as an investment. People are looking to get out of cash.Best of luck. I hope CRM sees this message. I hear you guy's passing on Rolex watches and I understand your fear's with the economy, but now is a time to sock those watches away at good prices. Buy them for a good deal and when things bounce back it will be stronger than ever again. It's not a time to sell right now, it's a time to buy. I guess someone should come up with a stylish lock that people want to wear with those RMs. Unless people dont even know it can be taken off their wrist. I look at it as the same as keeping a wallet in your back pocket. I haven't done that since I was a kid. Waist wallets for me everyday. I use a dollar rubber lock on my watch. I also do not take money for granted. Thats kind of the picture thats painted when I hear someone got a RM taken off their wrist. That sucks but I really dont feel bad for them. Of course I would help get it back if I could. 100% I would. I would probably even go out of my way to help if I could. I just dont feel bad for them.
