What? From what I know pretorians were guards like troops they had diffrent training including masses control. Regural legions were far more expierienced in fighting On the battlefield. It's pretorians had harder trainings since they defended emperor but they tactics were not suited for battlefield

They was stationed in roma and some times on the borders of the empire.
The Praetorians werent elite, they were only paid as elites. In fact, they could rarely keep up with the basic legionaries.
