The keyboard issue is killing me as an former Android user
At my job we got in iphones for testing our products and damn was making 20 individual apple accounts and having to type in complex passwords absolutely dreadful. That and not having an easy way to toggle apps made sure I never get an iphone.
then get g-board
@@cunty Gboard for iOS is not the same as for android, there is no number row for example.
@@GAMERGEBITER i’m sure there are other keyboard options which provide a number row.
@@cunty There are, but they are not good.
I tested many, no option is any good. They all miss something that the Gboard on Android has. So i rather just use the stock keyboard which is also not great
I use all these features as a long-time Android user. Honestly never knew iPhone didn't have these features, and now I'm convinced I'd never pay the Apple premium.
The fact the iPhone 15 finally got usb-c and always-on-display is mind boggling for me. Just switched my wife over to Pixel 8 and I don't think she'll be going back - finally my Google Home ecosystem will work for her too.
I’m an iPhone user, and one thing I wish iPhones had was a “schedule send” option for messages. I know most Androids do, and that makes me jealous. It would be so useful.
Did not know that. That’s a sick feature!
Now do the reverse if possible. 5 iOS features you wish Android had.
App developers support, app tracking transparency, high quality uploads im messenger apps and social media, real-time gmail inbox notif, hide my email in all websites using dummy emails, 3D face ID, night shots or videos should show them like in iPhone before taking a shot not just very dark then post processing, fast shutter like point and shoot in iPhone, shortcuts app
Nothing because android have everything
@@Iwritereality haha pretty much but there's a few things. I just wanted to see someone try.
@@TheKwilliam like what?
@@Iwritereality maybe that's why I wanted the iOS user to make the video. I just thought it would be interesting. I don't have an iPhone myself so I don't know a bunch but I'm sure he could come up with a few. Off the top of my head I guess I'd say a few are filming in ProRes, not sure if Androids can video record directly to external storage that isn't an SD card, iMessage without silly hacks. Stuff like that.
iphone doesn’t even have 5000mAh battery. Having reverse wireless charge is going to demolish the battery
Keyboard Hack: When typing on iOS, you can hold the numbers key then swipe to the symbol you want to put. Voila!
Love your video quality and I like that there's finally more android content. I would love for you to have more Android content going forward. Android flagship is just as good as Apple imo sometimes maybe better in other aspects
Edit: I use all these features and love it a lot. But from owning an iPhone and an Android (Pixel) concurrently, navigation is easier and notifications are way better than iPhone which is my #1 reason for making my Android my daily driver.
Didn't know about the Android split screen feature so will be using that!
About the black&white filter... I used to use it all the time in Android, with Work and Sleep modes. In iPhone, you can actually create a shortcut that triggers it and make an automation to turn it off/on/toggle whenever you switch to a certain focus, e.g. Sleep
i use both phones and i agree with this.also one UI copied a lot of features i love from iOS. S24 Ultra might be my favorite phone of the year
btw you can get a similar ecosystem to Apple if you use samsung devices
The permanent number row and split screen has been on my request list for a long time I don’t know why Apple just doesn’t listen to us.. 🤷🏻♂️
Subscribed. Interesting content!
I have the black and white automated, so you can achieve the same. You just create an automation to activate the b&w filter at a certain time everyday, or whenever a focus mode is On.
Great video, two notes:
#2 - if you wanna try a launcher as good (to me is better) than Nova, and a little more IOSsky (rara) try Smart Launcher.
#4 - Dynamic Island is not multitasking, it's a glorified notification. If you lower the notification tray on Android, it does almost all the same with the corresponding apps.
As much as it's anti-Apple by design, I miss the Edge Panel on my Samsung a lot. It was a lightning fast way to access to applications you use a lot such as a calculator app or Maps etc. Even better; you could launch those apps as floating windows just by holding and dropping them to the middle of your screen or as split screen apps by dropping them to either the top or the bottom of your screen.
iPhones have alternatives to this, such as the Action Button being able to launch an app via the Shortcuts app or the Spotlight Search feature being a handy little tool for whatever you type in, but, albeit these solutions are prettier, they'll never be as practical, sadly.
Swiftkey keyboard have all of these functionalities 1:55
Nice vid. I mean, these are all your opinions and agree mostly on them except the last one. iPhone battery is not good already and then sharing it through reverse charging would be a terrible decision. Just get a power bank, they are cheap, portable and relieve of all battery anxiety.
You could probably do the greyscale mode automatically with shortcut automation. I have something similar enabled for me.
Interesting. Def gonna look into this!
you can, i have one set up for school and sleep mode. takes like 2 minutes to set up.
@@cunty figured it out. Didn’t take long at all! Great suggestion
@@JoshuaChang shortcuts are genuinely incredible. they are one of the things i’d miss most if i switched back to android.
My favorite launcher that I use is Smart Launcher 6.
I always had 2 phones but since 13 Pro iPhone became my main device. Main reason for switching was because i love iPads and second i still want a flagship without having a big phone. However, i only have one problem with iPhones. Screen zoom. Basically on Plus/Max versions you don’t see extra content, you just see same things but bigger. A lot of wasted screen space in general UI. Even homescreen folder it’s 3x3 icons… Switching to a bigger screen don’t make any sense…
Excellent video! I need to admit that like an owner of Pixel 7 I didn't know I can split the screen hahaha
What's the name of the icon pack?
Whicons!
Automation and Shortcut could achieve the greyscale while sleep mode on (if you know how to set it up 😂)
Everything you mentioned is the reason why I love android. Going back iOS made me HATE my iPhone for awhile.
I only still have my iPhone because the hand-off from iPhone to MacBook is seamless.
SwiftKey keyboard gives you a full number row.
4:55 when you have the downtime on iOS, grey scale is useless for stoping you to use your phone
Mostly for bed time haha. I have a terrible habit of scrolling before sleep.
Real multi tasking
I agree with a lot of your statements but I do kind of like the simplicity & uniformity of iPhone's ngl
Maaan I’ve been apple fanboy since day dot. But now I feel they have lost their simplicity and user friendly UI’s. Every day I just struggle more and more with changes they have made.
I can’t wait to switch to android
do you watch allot of Simracing content?
Mostly just SuperGT. Chill vibe/commentary
I don't have and don't need bedtime mode.
Literally thought I was clicking a MKBHD video
😳
More like a Dave2d lol. He has a similar theme to him
@@Ace_v120 just got that impression from the thumbnail
I have been saying this. All apple needs to do is open up and its over for Android
Your first 4 features basically boil down to customizability. Customizability has always been Android's strong suit. Apple did away with customizability in order to give users a much more simplified experience. This philosophy has obviously been a winner.
But I do agree that the Apple keyboard is a pain in the ass.
I have the base iPhone 15. It satisfies all my needs. Sure, it's not perfect but what phone is?
I don't really care about wireless charging. I don't really care about 120Hz refresh. I don't care about the Action button.
I intend to keep my iPhone for 8-10 years.
whats so easy about apple? you always have to find the settings icon to access settings, in android its always at the top menu.
numbers are hidden and you can access it via another button, which is a pain.
@@talavera180 Like I said, the Apple approach has obviously been a winner.
Tbh, none of these features are important to me or bother me so yeah - iPhone is my preferable choice .
Hmmm
Just takin rubbish
ios keyboard is trash, one of the reason why my main phone is android
Just know if Apple ever adds these they're going to treat it like it's something revolutionary and not something that has already existed
.
The first two are valid and the other three are just that you have 5 points.
I’ve got to agree. The iOS keyboard is by no means bad, but Android does do it better 🤷🏼♂️
i can give you the keyboard thing. but these functions are exactly the reasons i do not use android. they make android a wannabe-everything garish bum, so tacky and redundant.
Yeah because reducing bedtime phone usage, being able to charge up accessories/friend’s phones (something that frequently comes in handy), and being able to have two apps on screen when needed (granted that doesn’t get used much but is incredibly handy when it’s needed) are all so “tacky”. Okay pal.
These are things that you don’t even notice if you don’t want/need them but also are super useful when/if you do
