Possibly the worst, most inaccurate travel video I've seen about my hometown. Had to stop halfway through as it was making my brain hurt. The first hotel in the first neighborhood he mentions, The Hewing, is indeed a fine hotel, but it is not in Northeast; it is across the river in a completely different neighborhood, the North Loop - more on that... When he gets to the North Loop neighborhood, which is at the northwest corner of downtown, he recommends three hotels that are smack dab in the middle of downtown; no one who has ever been here would suggest that they were in the North Loop. Some other glaring misses were spending several minutes talking about the Mill District without mentioning the Guthrie Theatre although it appears in the stock video footage he probably stole, roughly a dozen times, and telling people to go to Northeast Minneapolis to find a Jucy Lucy when its very birthplace is in South Minneapolis (likely at Matt's Bar, or possibly a mile South at the 5-8).
Pretty cool town. Lots of art and theater.
Agreed! We grew up in the Twin Cities
Love Minneapolis!
