- If you have Tattooed skin on your wrist I'm sure you have noticed sometimes you aren't getting notifications and the heart rate monitor isn't working properly. Here is a temporary fix.

I've been going wild trying to do everything to get my watch to work properly and didn't even think about my tattoo being right there.
Wow.
Can confirm it works. But can also confirm that you're unable to charge it with the epoxy sticker on.
Man!!! I was thinking in getting back my watch, but I see this video and inmediatly is working properly!! Thank you!
It sucks we have to do this workaround! I'm glad its working for you now!
Samsung support just admitted this issue to me. I have screenshots of the chat. I have opened a support ticket for this. I refuse to put stickers on my watch. Samsung just needs to add an option to turn off wrist detection.
I wish they'd do that.
I did the same. Fix finally coming with next update
@@redrumck81chegou a atualização?
I thought about buying this watch, good thing I researched first and found your video.
Been waiting for Samsung to fix this issue for several generations of their smart watches, kind of disappointed that the heart sensor issue is still there. Even my 5 year old Garmin watch works flawlessly with tattooed skin.
it's totally frustrating. I haven't tried it yet but I've read reports the pixel watch has the same issue.
@@FranklyLiving yes it does ! So annoying
I have a Garmin Fenix 7 and it can’t get through my tattoo to check my heart rate. It depends how dark your tattoos are
Yes because it do like a 🔎
My heart rate sensor works most of the time but I don't get text notifications unless I wear it like James Bond on the underside of my wrist. Dumb set up
Turn off wrist detection on your watch settings you will get every notification
Here it was all this time I thought I was dead like the movie Sixth Sense. Glad to find out it was just my watch not working right with my tatts. 😅
srsly f*ck Samsung for this... I don't get it... it's the same problem since the first Galaxy Watch came out... 500Euro+ watch and the heart rate sensor does not work on tattooed skin... On Apple watch it does, on a damn 35Euro Xiaomi crap I tried it works (and it was surprisingly accurate)... I was hoping they fixed it already so I can upgrade from my Galaxy Watch Active 2, but if it's the same crap as before... why even bother... :o(
I know!! it's bogus
Exactly
Actually my Apple Watch ultra has the same problem ,I had to switch it to my orther arm!!
I'm wearing it on my right hand that doesn't have a tattoo. This is great for people who don't have that option.
Mine isn't heavily tattooed as it's quiet old and quite Faded but on my second watch I have still got the same issues and I cannot believe it's because I am tattooed
Sticker work for a short while . They don’t work for me all the time. Tattoo maybe too dark.
I wish Samsung would just fix the problem so we can wear their smart watches and be able to use them as intended
Why do it work for a while
I don't even have tattoos, just dark hair on my arms and wrist detection doesn't work. Watch 3 and previous versions had a notification option to "show only while wearing" which you could toggle on/off. Sad they got rid of the option when the sensors can't detect you are wearing the watch.
My watch 3 worked flawlessly with my tattoos but 4 and up its definitely a lot trickier.. I've reported this to Samsung so many times.. I was really hoping they'd have fixed this by now..
I've been doing this for a year but seems it makes the watch run hot while charging. I think it damaged my battery. Samsung has a fix coming this year thank god
What do you mean by "Samsung has a fix coming this year" ?
i read that they are supposed to come out with a fix for these damn things to work with tattoos. but it obviuosly aint happening. i give up and am selling my watch. its complete bullshit that a watch cant work thru ink. however, tons of people claim they dont have a problem and it works fine with theirs. all the more reason i got pissed off with it@@MonteTaylor8008
Ya mean three watches later they still havnt solved this....... Ontop of pretty much releasing the same phone two years in a row.
I can see me moving to apple very shortly. Long term android user.
It does the same thing with all sensor related items. I have the iwatch 8 and it does the same, you can use parafilm or grafting tape for plants that works
The s23 ultra is the best phone and camera on the market though lol
Apple watches are worse
Thank you so much
I had no clue this was the reason my apple watches never worked for me aswell as older samsung watches.... They removed the option to send notifications to phone even if your not wearing it.
I have an issue with tachycardia and wandered why when my hr spiked my watch woild stop recording HR. I have full sleeves on both arms! Make sense now 😂 I'll guve this a go.
Much needed hack, on a T-Rex 2, thankyou 🙏
Nice ink 👌
the transparent sticker moves? I put it on my watch but as the day goes by it moves, maybe it should be a smaller size
@@feerny2714 mine didn't move. Maybe looking to getting some stickier stickers
@FranklyLiving thanks for the reply, I'll look for other stickers
@@feerny2714 this is what I've used and it worked
100 PCS Epoxy Stickers, 1 Inch... www.amazon.com/dp/B09B7JD9KW?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
One more question, how did you charge the watch? Was there any interference with the sticker and the magnetic charger?
@@feerny2714 If you have it on there just right you can still use the magnetic charger the Watch came with
Merci pour ta video, ma montre fonctionnait mal a cause de mon tattoo maintenant elle va super bien 👍
thanks for the demo and clean tattoos! well done
so almost wonderful beautiful video friend Frankly
The fitbit charge 2 works perfectly on inked skin as its the only tracker that has 2 sensors on the back. Unfortunately not the smartest watch though, but it is accurate and always works
Yep I have used this one As well and can verify
millimeter of adhesive?
I've been thru to smart watches this week got one for Christmas and thought it was broke. I have black tattoos the watch wouldn't communicate with my phone at all.
yeah it sucks! this workaround works although I ended up returning mine because it was a pain and it should just work out of the box!
@@FranklyLiving Can I ask why it was a pain to simply place a sticker and forget about it? Is there some other issue with the sticker not mentioned in the video?
U need to do the 6
What brand and model are you using now?
I am experiencing the problem of Apple Watch not working with tattoos.
I went back to a regular watch, it seems the new models still have the issue with tattoos unfortunately
@@FranklyLiving I need a watch while training, so I can't use a regular watch, what do you recommend?
@@duyguculfa2816 check out a Fitbit they have more sensors than the regular Samsung and Apple Smart watches and would probably be more accurate to track vitals
I’ve got sleeves and my heart rate on the watch works perfectly
It will work with wrists with lighter ink
Can you please point me in the right direction to buy those epoxy stickers? I can't find them anywhere
link for the stickers is in the description for the video!
@@FranklyLiving Found them but they are a bit bigger stickers. The once you linked, Are they that small? or did you have to cut them to size?
@@donmountains yes the ones I linked are the smaller ones.
I have some and am scared they will stick to where u cant get em off after a while
Can't charge the watch with the sticker though .
Will that help get notifications and stuff for a little while at least
yeah it should help with that
@@FranklyLiving thank u
Do you need to take the sticker off to charge the watch?
no you don't. I actually retuned mine. I wish it would work without this dumb workaround :(
Yes you do
i buy stick and dont work me :(
try adding 2 on top of each other
Didn't work for me either :(
hey! please and the all other functions works with the sticker?
yes as far as I know everything else works fine.
@@FranklyLiving thank you! :)
I've heard the epoxy sticker damages the battery ? However is the issue solved with the new update ?
What you probably want to do is buy a bunch of these stickers and whenever you're charging take it off. I ended up returning my device because all this workaround is a pain
i had the same isue from day one with watch 4 and i busted again from day one with watch 5......the heart rate with this trick is accurate ?
not sure how accurate it is. but it gives a reading that doesn't seem like it's way off or anything
