Greetings Queen, you can freeze and extend the life. I always make a double batch kaws my son and I both have locs. What I dnt use I put in ice trays and freeze. I retwist every three mths, this has been our my choice for the two years I've had my locs🙏💞
This is a really good DIY video. You did a great job explaining the steps and avoiding the mistakes like making sure the gel was cooled down enough before you strain it.
Okay something else to try. I was gonna do the rice water on my Loc’s. I tried that on my hair before I loc’d it and it was successful. This looks like another successful recipe.
Ohhhh I'm so glad I found your channel. I just started my loc journey and want to use only natural products on my hair so this is perfect. I absolutely love the smell of lemongrass as well and just made an oil with it. Thanks for sharing your tips. New friend to your channel. Let's stay connected.
Halie W. If I ever make it, I’ll probably drink it up before putting it on my hair 😆 It looks so tasty! I love Aloe Vera drinks, though this ain’t a drink 😝
Wow!! The dedication you have!! Watching this I am so impressed! Honestly would pay you to make products! You should go into hair care product industry...
This was so helpful cause I’ve been askingy mom to get me some aloe because there’s none in the grocery store by me lol. I wanted to start using aloe for my face and hair and stuff. So thank you for this video!!
That aloe plant looks nasty! Lol super slimy looking, the next time you use that blinder so you think it will taste of the aloe plant? Maybe I could use this on my chin because my head is bald lol
It IS super slimy lol. But the consistency doesn't bother me. I washed my blender REALLY good so it didn't leave a taste lol. And you could!!!! You could even use it on top of your head to keep it shiny 😂
Let me know if you decide to try this gel! It will last 2-3 weeks in the refrigerator :)
I’ve made my own get before, I didn’t use aloe. I’m going to try this method soon because making my own gel did better on my hair.
there's so many added benefits of making your own things.. please let me know how it works for you!
I like the fact that it’s last so long in the fridge, I will definitely try this one 💓
Hope you like it!

How long can the gel last
I would recommend recommend no longer than 3 weeks in the refrigerator
I think I’m gonna try this soon
let me know how it works for you!
Can this be frozen / thawed for preservation?
Easier to use a strainer than pantyhose and add aloe gel to strained flax seed gel
Thank you so much for sharing girl

I use aloe Vera for my hair too!
It's so good!
😮I should tell my mother about this recipe
Please do! Let me know how she likes it
Does it hold pretty well when retwisting?
Absolutely! I prefer this over all the other products I used in the past. I even slick my edges down with it sometimes
