That was a great video. It was nice to get all of the information on the scales, settings and time periods as I didn't quite know when I was there. I can see a lot more of the details in your video as I couldn't quite get up close to some of the layouts to see. I'm glad you and the team had a good day there. It was nice to see the modeling progress too :)
It was great to meet you during the exhibition and the format of this video is brilliant - bits of modelling (loosly😂) interspersed with layouts made it very interesting to watch. I was very impressed by Copper Wort as a different-to-the-normal configuration, and the quality of the modelling on it was exceptional. Keep up the good work👍
Great review of show and happy platforms! Bit picky abut your kit building, wasn't he???😅 Everyone to there own. I like overall scenes, not so much close ups....as you've seen!!!
I really appreciate you replying to my messages by the way none of the other UA-camrs do that and your UA-cam videos are so good they're like a top gear video and they're so awesome and it prevent me from wanting to commit suicide to be honest cuz I have depression and watching your videos gets me out of my head thank you so much I live another day more😮
I have to take it day by day and I watch your episode about the depression thing and I agree with it you had a breakup with your girlfriend who was that hot girl that was wearing that black dress getting out of that fire truck that you drive she's hot as hell I can see why you're depressed I would also be I don't have a girlfriend and I'm alone and I'll probably die alone it's very sad for me but your videos keep me going😮😮😮😮
I am suprised health and safety let you play with a knife, they have obviously not watched LMM before. Noticed you were fed posh Lotus Biscoff biscuits all day though. Looked a great show I would have loved to visit Doncaster some day but I try to keep local for shows.
The original TT scale was 3mm=1ft a scale gauge of 4ft on 12mm gauge. The new TT is 2.54mm to 1ft on 12mm track which is vloser to scale and in line with continental and American TT. The scale gauge ratio is closer to 4ft 8 1/2". The reason behind the original 3mm scale ws that real Continental stock is built to a larger loading gauge than British stock; they are BIGGER! In the late 50s very small motors were very hard to mass produce so Tri-ang increased the scale to fit these motors in; the same as companies did with 00 compared to H0 from the 1930s on! Sorry to burst your bubble, but I know you like to learn new facts all the time!
I’m with Lawrie. I fully realise that TT3 is more ‘correct’ and I imagine Lawrie is too. But it’s unsatisfying and feels like very slightly large N gauge, instead of the intermediate scale that TT3 is. TT120 is more accurate, but it’s just fatish N gauge. TT3 is actually quite nice to hold and view.
Exhibition tours are 20 times better when there’s some narration on the layouts, and a break to see a ham fisted, slightly outsized man better suited to 1:1 mechanical challenges, making a deeply mediocre modelling effort. Excellent video.
Had a great time talking to you there! Such a nice event
