That’s a fairly disingenuous way of describing abortion, I’d say. Fetuses aren’t babies, and most abortions take place long before the developing group of cells begin to resemble a person, let alone have any functions of one. There’s no “limb from limb” to tear. And by the time that there is, no one is aborting because they would like to. They’re already pretty committed. But the choice is a hard one they have to take due yo complications that can take one or both of them from the mortal coil. You’re propping up a false image of reality without considering the feelings of the people actually involved, and for what? So you have something to be mad about? So you can feel high and mighty about it? Whatever the reason, it’s not worth it.

Most people can acknowledge that in this made up scenario, the person’s bodily autonomy comes first. Point being: you can’t force someone into giving up their own body to preserve the life of another person. You can’t give a foetus a right that nobody else has - which is the right to use someone else’s body for your own survival without that person’s consent or permission. Besides, if you genuinely cared about the “lives of the unborn”, you would advocate for pro-choice laws, as making abortions illegal has been correlated in more abortions per year. Countries with universal free healthcare, easy access to contraceptives, welfare benefits for single parents, comprehensive sex education in schools and legal/safe abortions are the countries with the lowest abortion rates.
