I bought a CT-S200RD because of its vibrant color for an affordable price, and because you featured it on your channel. However, upon testing it by myself, I was about a little bit disappointed by the sound it produces. My question is, WHAT ARE THE SPECIFICATIONS OF AN AMPLIFIER SPEAKER WOULD YOU RECOMMEND THAT WOULD COMPLEMENT OR IS COMPATIBLE WITH THIS SPECIFIC MODEL OF KEYBOARD? Or DO YOU HAVE A SPECIFIC BRAND/MODEL IN MIND? Thank you for answering in advance.
I've been watching all reviews about cts300, this one is my favorite. I've been wanting to pursue music as my career but my family forced me to study computer engineering and disposed all my musical instruments. I am saving but it's not enough due to the pandemic. I hope to have a cts300 soon.
Same budd😂😂😂 been saving for like a year now but still dont have enough and my parents think buying a piano is just waste of money so they won't buy me one I'm still Saving maybe somewhere next year I can buy it
Found this at just the right time. I ordered the CT-S300 and will have it by this weekend, this will be one of the first things I will try after setting everything up. Thank you, Jeremy!
People always want to find a reason to complain about their brand-new product "not working" or "not sounding good enough". Maybe if you spent more time reading the instructions, or actually learning about music, and musical effects, and other things, you'd know about this trick. I was curious to see what was so bad about this model's sound, as I am myself planning to buy one. As soon as I heard the tone, I immediately knew. By default, almost every manufacturer automatically puts some level of sustain or reverb in the sound, so it sounds "good enough" or "professional" or whatever characteristic people generally look for. You can easily achieve this, AND MORE APPARENTLY, using this keyboard! I am very excited to buy one now.
Actually in the S300 I bought it was the opposite: reverb is on by default (hall2 if I'm not wrong) and playing around I noticed that without reverb audio samples are "dry" as you said. On another (really superficial) channel review I saw the guy complaining about sound sound quality and I got surprised - unless I fell into your review and I understood: yes he was testing the keyboard without reverb... too bad indeed. XD
Yup, reverb and chorus are your best friends for making dry tones nice and wet. Also, get a high quality Bluetooth speaker and plug the keyboard into that. Makes a world of difference. You will actually hear the bass and the rhythms with greater definition than the built in speakers.😁😁
Thank you Jeremy! Always giving us something more. This tip makes a useable sound more engaging and even beautiful! So many of these instruments have features that are hidden enough that they are never discovered and the full functionality of the instrument is lost and perhaps the instrument never really enjoyed or used. Demonstrating how you use these instruments with actual songs and musicality that most people can emulate is very helpful!
As I have a lot of spare time during the lockdowns here in Italy, I decided to start to study piano. Watching your useful videos I decided to buy a Casio ct-s 300, I'm actually waiting to it to be shipped. Thanks for helping me start this new experience! I'll keep fowwing you! Cheers from Milan, Italy.
Ciao, sono anch'io un principiante e stavo valutando l'acquisto di questa tastiera, come ti trovi a distanza di 4 mesi? Grazie per l'eventuale risposta
Okay, so I recently purchased the ct-s300 and I like the way the keys feel but hate the way the volume changes on the piano settings. I was about to send it back when I found this video. I was about to adjust the reverb, when I found that I could turn off the touch sensitive feature as well! So grateful. Much better now! Thanks!
Thank You Sir! I Want To Buy This Keyboard, But I Was Doing Research About It. Most People Say 'It Is Not Good For Beginners. It Is Low Quality Keyboard.' But Now I Hear It, It Is So Good. And Also Thanks For Video! It Is Very Useful. Thank you!
Thanks for this tip! I just bought a CT-S200 yesterday to learn the basics of playing a piano. This will make my practice sessions much better, when it comes to the sound at least lol 😝
I'm actually reconsidering getting one of these for our trips away from home. I bought the PSS-A50 for that and my hands are so damaged now (from RA) that mini keys are really getting hard to play. I needed something super-durable that you can just throw into a car. Yes, the reverb does improve the sound a LOT. I winced (in the music store) when I first heard one of these. But, I'm looking at them a second time for practice away from home. Thanks again for a great video 🙂
These are really made to be carried & chucked around. Sounds are decent with this tweaks. But Casio really did a mis-step not to put in their AiX chip in this.
Definitely worth getting this keyboard. Like you I too had the PSS-A50 and other than it stopped working entirely after an hour the mini keys also did a number on my fingers. I then went and got this Casiotone CTS300 because again, like you, I wanted a keyboard I could travel with just to be able to practice. It will not disappoint and the feel of the keys are not the typical plasticy slick feel but somewhat textured and nice. I’m happy and fits my needs. And love the built-in handle that also acts as the music rest holder. Also like the tip here from Jeremy.
Good to know!! I ordered one in red... it's back ordered so hopefully will get it by my birthday...found your channel after...will be quite helpful!! Thanks!!
I bought a Casiotone Cts200 for my granddaughter and I’m sort of disappointed with the sound. I will try the reverb. My granddaughter likes my RockJam better than the Casio and that speaks volumes. I will however test it out with reverb to see if it improves and will come back to this post to see if it worked. I bought a PSR E373 and I love it.
a lot of people shit on this piano because its cheap but if i just want to learn piano and if i like it maybe changing in one year for a better one should i still buy this one
Thanks for the tip .. I had casiotone 200 recently and was having hard time with how it sound when practising .. I tried with sustain on and it was kinda good but still something missing .. I will try this when I return home .. Can’t even wait I wanna return now!

Very helpful video. I thought I had decided on the PSR-E373 as the sounds are superior, but now I'm not so sure expecially considering the CT-S300's portability. Do you know if it is possible to change the default reverb settings or do they need to be adjusted every time you choose a voice?

I have the same experience like you: the default reverb was Hall2 in my new S300 that I bought a week ago.
When I'm connecting my headphones to cts 300 I can hear some white noise coming through too, is it normal??
My CT-S195 also came with reverb
Just got my CT S200 yesterday and I am a beginner. Found this a very helpful tip 😊 thanks for this, Jeremy!
Hi, if you dont mind, was that helping with the non existence touch sensitive key?
Where did you buy it?
Can you tell whether it really have touch sensitive or not...plss tell... I want know before buying

Any suggestion on what kind and brand of bluetooth speaker would seem good with this keyboard?
I remember my first keyboard back in the 90's was a Casio CTK-100 I miss it so much
But i have one with me ., Still working.,

The one i got was a cts195 its good and only 119 bux
Go for PSS A50

CT-S's electric piano is surprisingly pleasant, it's reminiscent of Yamaha GS1 synthesizer as used by Casiopea in their song "Take Me"
Sharp ears! Indeed it is very similar to GS1
@@JeremySee just a little more chorus and it'll match this ua-cam.com/video/BPfcv2Y8M9c/v-deo.html

I wish someone would show how to set up the functions for a song accompaniment. No one shows how to use its fancy music for a backing to a melody.
