No Shane, the gen 2 kit was actually an optional extra with the E36s believe it or not! You’ll find some actually don’t have the kit and just look like a standard E320 (whether it be a coupe, saloon or estate)… In reality they are just a slightly refined and beefed up E320. I think the mono blocks, however, were standard for the E36s, but I know the kit was definitely not. 😊 As I say, E36s are truly special and rare, this one is great and I’ve come across it a few times online and know what’s what with them. Oemhammers is right. Everything was an option in theses just like any 124, only the wheels were standard. Kit, elec seats, aircon etc all extras. I used to work on a customers convertible E36 many years ago and it was proper basic spec!
