Juste pour vous les gars jfais un mots sur mots. Pour que vous arretez de pleurnicher là. Copiez le texte et faites le circuler
      *
      Verse1:
Bitch it has been a very very long time that i think about it but i didn't have your thrive.
Never pay attention about gossip, those bigmouths never saw the world through your eyes.
I try to speak with them in their language in vain, they only understand the language of violence.
I stripe on my body armour, you didn't see me flinch when i had to pass the slow circuit ( with his bike).
Sankara, Cheikh Anta, N****r, i have chosen my rolemodels, reliable like german engins.
      Independent, no gold, no teeth.
I share more, then the elders of your elders.
I don't look at them, they are not concentrated.
I am not waiting for the pass , they cannot center.
I am Bantu, don't talk to me in Basané. We didn't came here to swag around.
Get away with your coke, i got my family.
      Bridge:
I pull on the handgrip, i offend the time.
I am cruising like someone is waiting for me.
I lock this Johnny between my teeth.
      Chorus:
      2x
I am taking out the Becane (motorbike)
      I smoke weed.
I don't give a fuck if it's dangerous. I only see metal bars , the Becane is yelling and i escape hell.
      Verse 2:
Acra (african dish) helps to concentrate. The hate that i have in my thoughts. In this predefined game.
      Bridge
      2x
I am taking out the Becane, cane, ouuuhh
      2x
Becane , i am smoking weed.
      Chorus:
      2x
I am taking out the Becane (motorbike)
      I smoke weed.

Dude is a musical genius. You can feel his influences - classic French (Édith Piaf), classical piano, Hip Hop, Jazz. Picture Miles Davis blowing these licks in a dark bar. You can feel his pain, his escape from the realities of this world. All I needed was 10 seconds and he got me. Brings tears every time I listen. And the production! Out of this world!

here are the lyrics translated the best i could.
PS: it's about him as an up incomming artist with many slick play-on-words about his motorcylcle(bécane)
    lyrics :
    [verse 1:]
    - Bitch, I've been thinking about how to get well for a long, long time, I don't have your momemtum
(by momemtum he means a label's tramplun)
    - Never listen to the "they said", those who gossip have not seen life through your world
    - I may speak in their language but apparently they only hear the language of violence
-I sneak into a ball without my hands, you haven't seen me stutter when I had to do the "slow"
(he drive the motorcycle so well, he can sneak anywhere without hands)
(the "slow" is a motorcycle test to obtain the said license, meanning he can handles difficult tests of fame and music)
    - Sankara, Cheikh Anta, nigga, I chose my models, it's reliable like a German engine
(by "nigga" he means black cultures and check who Sankara and Cheikh Anta are + another play with motorcycle with the motor engine)
    - As independent artist, without carats, without chico, yes I bite much more than the greats of your greats
("carats" and "chico" = "jewelries" and "teeth")
    - I don't see them, they're not focused, I'm not waiting for the pass, they can't cross(football ref)
    - I'm Bantu(one of many african ethniticy), don't talk to me about basané, we didn't come here to showoff
(don't call him basené(darker skin) but simply black which white french people have difficulties to do lol)
    [pre-chorus:]
keep your your cocaine, I have my cc
(cc is basically related to the speed of his motorcyle so doesn't need drug, he has the freedom of his motorcycle)
I turn the handle, I crush time
I ride as if someone was waiting for me
I put the blunt(or motorcycle exhaust pipe) between my teeth, m’bah ouai, m’bah ouai
("m’bah ouai" is his gimic and basically means "that's how it is")
    [chorus:]2x
I take out the bike, di-di-da-da, I smoke weed
    I don't give a damn if it's mad dangerous
I only see bars, iron bars
The bike screams and I come out of hell on a big iron, m’bah ouai
(hell is the quotidien that he escape with his motorcycle)
    [bridge:]
    - Akra helps to focus
(Akrapovič is a famous manufacturer of motorcycle exhaust lines that focus on high speed so the speed helps him to focus)
    - The hatred that I feel in my thoughts, hum
In this marketed/rigged business, oh yeah
    [and then crazy vocal notes]
    [chorus:]2x

Here's a bit about this song:
The song 'Bécane' by artist Yamê is a manifesto of rebellion and a raw expression of the pursuit of freedom. Through its lyrics, Yamê describes the sensation of being trapped in an oppressive reality, symbolized by 'barreaux de barreaux en fer' (iron bars), and how he finds an escape in his motorcycle ('bécane') and marijuana consumption ('fume la beuh'). The repetition of these lines in the chorus emphasizes the importance of these elements as avenues of escape from his restrictive environment.
The artist also references revolutionary figures like Thomas Sankara and Cheikh Anta Diop, indicating that he has carefully chosen his role models, those who represent resistance and struggle against oppression. The mention of 'un moteur allemand' suggests a search for reliability and quality in his life, possibly in contrast to the instability of his surroundings. Additionally, the song touches on themes of authenticity and cultural resistance, as seen in the line 'J'suis bantu me parles pas de basané', rejecting any attempt to minimize his identity.
Musically, 'Bécane' can be framed within the genre of rap or hip-hop, where lyrical narrative often explores themes of social struggle, identity, and resistance. The rawness of the lyrics and Yamê's passionate delivery reinforce the message of the song, which is both a defiant cry and a statement of personal independence.

it might be an unpopular opinion in France, (as a frenchman myself) but I don't specially understand everything, by that i mean i just go with the vibes. Ofc i know the word he's using but i don't listen to them as word, those are vibes, this is puuure flow. Becane is slang for motorcycle, and he's basically saying he want to escape Enfer (hell) and darkness while riding his Motorcycle with a blunt in between his gapped teeth.
If you want some more of him i'd recommand "Call of Valhalla" pretty good one too but i see it's already been mention, so you could also listen to "Bahwai" also pure energy!

How don't you understand Yamê's lyrics? I do. I'm a near native speaker of French. I lived in le 13.

@@saltushachalmers maybe there IS a slight misunderstanding, I understand every single word he sing, but the way he enunciate them, it's like they are no word anymore. I feel like every word is a vessel used to carry a Vibe, an energy you feel me? And that even tho these are words, they are plain, they don't mean much in the Grand Scheme of this song. I'm not moved as strongly by the words as I'm by the interpretation. So i end up not getting what he says word by word, but more as a whole experience that deliver meaning.

His teeth its bc he fell from the 2nd floor as a kid on the ground, the teeth passed through his gum and he sucked his thumb so they never went back at their place. But he's proud of it, when he says "chico" he talks abt his teeth. I understand your reaction lol he's just too far he's a genius, we needed a rapper like him
