The Statue of Liberty is from when the All Star Game was in New York. They had one for every team displayed around the city. While most people are correct in modern times the stairs are for firework games, they were originally for football bleachers seats placed on the field prior to Mount Davis.
i grew up going there. had a blast back in the day. Park was ruined when Raiders returned in 1995. The extra seats and stairs to nowhere were part of the Football arrangement. The A’s have been threatening to leave for a decade. I’m sure there wasn’t a lot of discussion about upgrading it
They open it up after the game so the fans can go on the field for the fireworks show. I know cus my choir sang the national anthem on the field before the game recently and we got free great seats because of it so I stayed for the show.
Extra seats were used for Raider games back in the day. Also, important to note that the seats are about a half mile away from the coliseum complex as well, not randomly just dropped outside of it lol

Also it’s weirdly fucking cold on the field for some reason. I went down there to sing the national anthem and I was freezing my ass off the whole time 💀😭
The stairs that lead to nowhere. Actually lead to the field when there are fireworks at the end of the game and they allow fans onto the field. It's the only time that the A's games have some sort of attendance
The old municipal stadium in Cleveland had pee islands. Big circular trough so you could stare deeply into the eyes of the dude peeing across from you.
All signs point to Vegas As a former die hard San Diego Charger fan, this is the owner saying f u to Oakland. Qualcomm, better known as the Murph, was in the same situation. God have mercy on all Oakland fans. I feel you and respect the hell out of you.

In the bathrooms in Section 200 in shallow right field, the furthest to the right pee trough backs up with shit every game. I went to 15 A’s games in 2023 and every single one the trough backed up 😂😂 In all seriousness though, the “Box Seats” are actually great on the rare one off hot days in Oakland, the other side of the wall on most of the “box seats” have refrigerators for concessions on the other side so it stays cold!

The scoreboard was finished it’s just that part was taken down by the last advertiser to hold the name of the park. Oh, and the barbed wire was for Raider games they just left up. Back in the late 80’s early 90’s the fences didn’t have barbed wire and it was a great park with no mt Davis

A lot of the old stadiums used to have the bullpen on the field (like Candlestick Park). The pitchers always had to watch out for foul balls.

Pee troughs are unmatched in efficiency. Every stadium should have them.
Yeah, they need to get rid of stalls on the toilets as well. That way you could fit more shitters per bathroom. It would be more efficient.
