I thought she was 18 at the court and he was 24. She had a 3 years old at the time, so she must be 15 when the baby was born, and probably 14 when the baby was conceived. He was 21 when the baby was born, and 20 when the baby was conceived. That's...hebephilic...

Maybe the 1st kid was an accident, but at least this 2nd baby was PLANNED. Instead of going to school and getting an education, doing something to better her life, so CHOSE to have a 2nd kid!! When I was young, out of necessity to care for his family, my dad had to take work out of town that kept him away for weeks at a time, leaving our mother to care for three young children (7, 5 and 1) by herself (fortunately, she had other family nearby for emotional support) but she never seemed to indicate that he was neglecting her, nor us children. She understood, very clearly, that he was doing it FOR US as a family, and even if he couldn't be with us physically, he was there spiritually and emotionally. Even at our young ages, my siblings and I understood why he wasn't there as much as we might have liked (I'm not going to say we didn't miss him), and I am of the belief that we became stronger for the experience. Mother was a strong woman emotionally and spiritually who understood the challenges of life and passed on that understanding to her children so we could be better children/people.
