I still believe it was a massive mistake not having the show be centered around naruto and the old cast. Boruto and the other new faces should've been side characters that only focused on the major events like learning thier first jutsus, Graduation and chunin exams like the old cast got as thier form of long term screen time. It was also a mistake making characters so strong only naruto and sasuke could handle. The writer says he sucks at writing females, but he sucks at writing sequels and even the main character himself. I have infinite rage how naruto is written to need 9 tails for everything and still looking like he made no progress in his skills, but sasuke continues to fight better than ever before.

To be honest, since they copied a good chunk of the fight from the movie, I was hoping to see the opening part of the fight from the movie, which I thought was better how they were speeding through the palace. Plus they slowed a lot of the footage down too, and extended it.

This is how every Naruto fight should be. Short and too the point using mostly taijustu with ninjitsu and genjustu thrown in when necessary. The beginning of Naruto vs sasukes final battle, kakashi vs obito, orochimaru vs log, and madara vs the shinobi alliance are good examples. Minato vs obito is good too even tho there’s not much taijutsu.

It's ironic because the animation in the movie is actually 10 times better than this one. Shame they just copy and pasted the same scenes. They could have at least retold the movie but from a slightly different perspective or increased the lengths of some fights.
Not really. The animation is the same as they are using the exact key frames from the movie. This version however has a number of minor secondary changes to lighting and special effects to make it visually fit with the rest of the series. If it had the same polished look as the movie it would look out of place.

To be honest, since they copied a good chunk of the fight from the movie, I was hoping to see the opening part of the fight from the movie, which I thought was better how they were speeding through the palace. Plus they slowed a lot of the footage down too, and extended it.
they didnt make it longer only added more talking in between and took out the start of the fight... this fight is a lot more boring compared to the movie verison.

This is how every Naruto fight should be. Short and too the point using mostly taijustu with ninjitsu and genjustu thrown in when necessary. The beginning of Naruto vs sasukes final battle, kakashi vs obito, orochimaru vs log, and madara vs the shinobi alliance are good examples. Minato vs obito is good too even tho there’s not much taijutsu.
Or, if someone has cool jutsu that are not just big bombs, ouitsmart them or beat them with actual thought and not just throwing big chakra bombs xD

It’s a waste of potential

It's ironic because the animation in the movie is actually 10 times better than this one.
Shame they just copy and pasted the same scenes. They could have at least retold the movie but from a slightly different perspective or increased the lengths of some fights.
Not really. The animation is the same as they are using the exact key frames from the movie. This version however has a number of minor secondary changes to lighting and special effects to make it visually fit with the rest of the series. If it had the same polished look as the movie it would look out of place.
