  • Novak Wins Cincinnati! - How Djokovic Never Ceases To Amaze Us....(Unbelievable)
    Right now Tennis belongs to Djokovic. Although that mightttt be an exaggerated statement, I know us fans felt that way after Novak defeated Carlos Alcaraz at the Western and Southern Open Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati. It was one of the greatest 3-set matches in the history of tennis and here is why Djokovic is STILL the king.

      For me it's about what is motivating him to carry on and that is records (the main one being Courts Grand Slam count). When he's got the ones he wants I think he'll call it a day even if he's still fit enough to play because the effort required to keep up with the next gen at his age is huge.

He's going for more slams but he want one more Monte Carlo title and the Olympic gold, for sure no one, I mean NO ONE can argue the records he has and it's gonna be unthinkable for others to even come close to the achievement he's got, it is a reality of mission impossible!!

      Olympic games are playing once in 4 years, which means that’s the hardest tournament to win and that’s why i think we need to look just the medal even if it’s a bronze, silver or gold one.

    "Defending points" is a silly concept. Alcaraz is not going down to 2 in a couple weeks because he won the 2022 US Open and can't "defend" those points. He is going down because he didn't play the ATP Finals and the Australian Open.
    Let's imagine two universes where everything is the same except last year's US Open:
    First universe: Defending champion Alcaraz beats Djokovic in two weeks in the Final. The following Monday's rankings:
    1. Djokovic with 10,995 points
    2. Alcaraz with 9,815 points
    Now, a Universe where Alcaraz did not even play in the 2022 US Open but also beats Djokovic in two weeks in the Final. The following Monday's rankings:
    1. Djokovic with 10,995 points
    2. Alcaraz with 9,815 points
    It never matters what you did 53 weeks ago, it matter what you didn't do the last 52 weeks. There is nothing negative about "defending points", it gives you seeding!

    If Carlos will have no injury, he will be the definitive number 1 in the world. But I dont see that, because, there is nothing to increase for him and he will destroy his body much earlier, then the most people think. Carlos is too much away from seeing his own game. His Eyes are always at the cameras and he will only be the one, the people love. He is addicted to the crowd. So if he is playing against another player, the people really love, it will become very hard for him.
    And without it coaches, they say something after every ball, he will be maybe lost. So lets see, what happens to this young boy, who plays excellent tennis.

    Novak just won his 24 GS at US open 👐 Alcaraz is milestones far away from Novak,like everyone else!!! He cannot keep paste like Novak!!! Novak play at highest level over a decade, every match, year after year!!! This youngsters, including Alcaraz play one or two tournaments good and then they drop out of next tournament. Like Alcaraz just did at Us open, Medvedev just schooled him!!! He destroy him like a small child!!! And then,like usual Novak destroy Medvedev!!! Sweet revange for 2021 when he was tired and he lost that final for all 4GS. He put his country front of his personal success, that why he's The Greatest tennis 🎾 player who ever played the game!!! Nobody else will do that, specially not Nadal, or Federer!!! And at this year Wimbledon, Alcaraz was so lucky, incredible lucky! Few points deside the match! Novak could, and should win easily second set and that will be the end of the match, and outcome will be different! But that's sport! Anyway, the point is that Novak is undisputed GOAT 🐐🐐🐐 and that will never change, cause his achievements are unreal!!!

    Novak will most likely surpass Federer’s record, but Connors’ will be tough to surpass. Not that it matters. There is no glory in winning 250 and 500 titles. Novak is far and away the leader in the number of “Big Titles” won, with 69. He will likely add a few more. Nobody comes close. Rafa is second with 59, and Roger third with 54.

    Alcaraz play tennis of his life , plus he was so lucky 🍀 at Wimbledon! That how he win there! Novak didn’t play best tennis, he was unlucky, struggling with 💨 wind( we all know that he needs great conditions to play his best)and still he barely lose with few points difference from 16 years younger guy! That how Great he’s!!! Goat 🐐

    How insane is it for some fans to compare the dangers of a heat stroke to CRAMPS? I don't care how healthy you are, if you are overexerting yourself under the Sun in extremely hot conditions (who can control the Sun...), you are in danger of a heat stroke. It's a shame that both had to play under such threatening conditions; its their job... I agree, it definitely deserves a medical time out; it DEMANDS it! Are there fans out there who honestly feel someone should continue playing while having a heat stroke????

    While the poor guy Alcaraz played probably 20 hr professional tennis more than Novak but then again screwed in the US Open draw despite being No 1 seed. Unbelievable

    It's heat "exhaustion", not heat stroke. Google heat stroke. It's a very rare and very specific emergency condition requiring emergency room treatment, and everyone needs to know the difference between it and heat exhaustion. Prolonged heat exhaustion occasionally leads to heat stroke. Body temp rises to 104 or more and you stop sweating and your brain will be damaged or worse if you don't get in an ice bath. It's an immediate 911 situation. I've had heat exhaustion countless times in my profession (working outdoors in South US summers). It's miserable. Your brain fogs and you may get light-headed, taking one more step requires effort, and you feel a desperate need to get out of the sun but unless you are stupid or driven by a slave driver you will collapse in exhaustion well before your body actually gets into the danger zone. The possibility prolonged heat exhaustion could lead to heat stroke is why the Cincy situation is concerning but nobody got stroked there.

    Carlos to take over lol 😂 He didn’t make Us open final, he lost in Beijing… He’s far away from taking over!!! That’s the difference between Goat, other two, three greats and the rest one, very good one, and good one! For now, alcaraz is just good, not even very good!!! To be very good you need to play extremely good on different tournaments, one after the other, at least two years in a row!

    Man I disagree you should be able to have a medical time out. These athletes are playing at the limit, and heat stroke is a serious condition. This isn't gladiators in Roman times. You have to put a players health above everything. Sure it might disrupt a players momentum but what if a player actually has a serious episode. Do we want a player to fall dead on court? No, so keep it civil.

  • @maryleewestenhouse1325
    @maryleewestenhouse1325 Рік тому

    There should always be a medical timeout when a heat stroke may evolve. I will further comment, when weather gets that hot, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to interrupt play and give the players a period to gain strength and breath, b4 continuing.

  • @scottstorchfan
    @scottstorchfan Рік тому

    Cramps and heat stroke should absolutely mandate a medical timeout. Cramps are somewhat a reflection of your condition But they can also be a reflection of your individual physiology and can arise spontaneously and they make you not being able to play. I mean you can say a muscle tear is a reflection of your condition too. Its a stupid argument.
