i worked in a cracker barrel restaurant and reeba come in to eat and as she left i grabbed a menu and a pen and ask her to autograph it for me she talked so sweet to me and signed the menu ill never forget that day or her sweet voice
I love watching people who've never heard the song react to it. The realization that what happened isn't what the song makes you think happened is the payoff.
cant go wrong with reba, you should see her live, always awesome in person a whole production with costume changes backup singers, dancers, the complete package
Great song! The original version was performed by Vicki Lawrence (Mama of "Mama's Family") in 1972. I'm sure she would have had a fabulous singing career, but she was already becoming successful in comedy. Great reaction :)
This is actually a cover of the original, which was a huge hit in the early 70s for Vicki Lawrence (Carol Burnett’s co-star). Vicki and Reba did a duet of this song shortly after Reba released this single.
I like Vicki Lawrence's version better. I think the emphasis on certain words and phrases are better. Like where she sings: The judge said "guilty" in a make-believe trial Slapped the sheriff on the back with a smile Said, "Supper's waiting at home and I got to get to it" The way Vicki sings it, ..is a little more clear, .....and sounds so cold,...like the judge barely gave this man's life a thought. He's more concerned about his Supper!
I remember back in the 70s when the Original version of this was released by Vicki Lawrence. Reba is good, but I'll always go back to the original version.
No it wasn't. She had 3 big hits in Australia. This song, " Ships in the Night, " and " He Did With Me. " Type them in the UA-cam search box.... they're really good.
Queen Reba...very deep rabbit hole!!! One of a kind! To “see” her sing is an experience, her passion and facial expressions makes her voice even better.
Tasha, I am a HUGE Reba fan. Honestly, she doesn’t have a bad song in my opinion. My favorites by hers: “Forever Love “, “She thinks his name was John “, “You Lie” & “If you see him, if you see her “ duet with Brooks & Dunn.
just in case nobody has told you, you have to watch the actual video for Reba's songs (mini movies). Even if you have to do it after the reaction for copyright purposes.
Two of my favorite Reba songs are "The Heart Wont Lie", ft. Vince Gill, and "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" which was written about the plane crash that killed her manager, and her band in the 90s.
Reba and Kelly because of you. Reba little rock Reba who ever is in new England Reba strange Reba I'm a survivor Reba the heart won't lie. The list can go on forever but kelly and reba doing because of you was bone chilling.. especially there music video with the old school theme
Vicki Lawrence did the original, there's also a 3rd version which is on the movie The night the lights went out in Georgia with Dennis Quaid and Kristy Mcnichol. Awesome soundtrack and they did their own singing
"I felt like I was watching a soap opera." YES! I'm not a big country fan anymore, but I grew up listening to it. And I do love the narrative element many country songs have. This is one of my favorites. Reba definitely has some pipes, like you said. And I love that base after the chorus! "Doot doot doot doot doot, doot doot doot do..."
You are so pretty. I love this song. Brings back tons of memories. My Mom and her best friend loved singing this song. They were friends for more than 50 years. Getting into trouble. Country bars are notoriously rowdy with alot of beer, and dancing and a bit whoring around. They had each others backs. 2 peas in a pod! The stories I could tell.
I know a lot of non country music listeners say they don’t like the twang sound and “tear in your beer “ lyrics. You can find that, but there is so much more to country. I don’t care for the “pop or rap “ style. Personally I like the outlaw style. Waylon Jennings is my favorite for sure. A good song that tells a story about country music is Trace Adkins “ songs about me”. It would be awesome if you could react to that one.
You asked for Reba McEntire suggestions, Cowgirls Don't Cry... It is a beautiful sad song. And I'm telling you in advance that sad have your tissues ready. Peace and love
You have GOT to add Carrie Underwood to your reactions. Specifically her music videos for both "Before he cheats" and "Two Black Cadillacs" Amazing songstress, and both songs with a real twist.
I just discovered your page, and I am enjoying it. I like how you play the entirety of the song, and give your reaction. Yes, I have an entire list of Reba songs for you. Here is the list: Somebody Should Leave, Little Rock, The Last One To Know, New Fool At A Old Game, Walk On, Now You Tell Me, That's All She Wrote, Rumor Has It, For My Broken Heart, If I Had Only Known, It's Your Call, Take It Back, Heart Won't Lie, She Thinks His Name Is John, And Still, Talking In Your Sleep, Please Come To Boston, You're No Good, Ring On Her Finger, Time On Her Hands, The Fear Of Being Alone, What If Its You, Strange, Turn On The Radio, Just Like Them Horses, Back To God, Angel On My Shoulder, Stronger Than The Truth, Tammy Wynette Kind Of Pain, In His Mind, Strom In A Shot Glass.
the little red haired Oklahoma girl has a very unique voice. Another female "group" of country artists you should give a listen would be the mother daughter duo of Naomi and Wynonna Judd. aka "The Judds", they had something like 20 #1 songs and awards out the wazoo. try "mama he's crazy" to start out with. although not part of the duo you've probably seen the youngest Ashley in movies.
I was born and raised in Alabama I am one of the best shots everyone I know knows and what none of them know is the best shot I know is my little sister
Hi Tasha. I've watched a few of y'all's videos now and found yo and your husband to be real, authentic in your reactions and genuinely nice people, even if you are millennials (a little old man humor). Watching you on this Country journey is what made me want to subscribe. I see you've got over 60K subscribers so I know you're busy trying to keep up with all the requests, and I'm reasonably certain I've been beat to the punch with this one, but if you're serious about this journey then I really recommend "Believe" by Brooks and Dunn. One of the best Country songs from the last decade (I think that's right). Anyway, like I said, I'm sure it's already been requested, so I'll sit back and patiently wait for your reaction to it. Really enjoying this journey of yours thus far. Oh, and by the way, could you tell me about your headphones? I might be looking for an upgrade. Thanks and God bless.
If you want to hear what all country is really about, react to Trace Atkins’ “Songs About Me.” Impossible not to fall in love with the writing process of country when you hear it.
I like Reba, but would rather listen to Vicki. More mysterious sounding. If you watch the video of Reba, she adds to much & gives away what happens before you hear it. Just my opinion. Grew up listening to Vicki sing this.
Try her You Lie, Rumor Has It, and Just Like Them Horses, it's in honor if her Dad. You definitely want the official video on that last one! Oh and Does He Love You duet with Linda Davis.
I'm glad you did the audio without the video. I find the video very annoying. The little movie really detracts from the song. I always loved the original by Vicki Lawrence.
Awesome remake!!! Love this song 🤩!.... You need to check out Jason Aldean,( he's a Georgia boy!!) He's got tons of good ones! "Dirt road anthem" and "my kinda party" are good starters ❣️❣️
kt oslin, patty loveless, tanya tucker, the judds, lorie morgan , .....besides Reba, these were the othe greats.m please check em out. not asking to post if ya don't like.
I love Reba, but this is a cover of a one hit wonder. Vicki Lawrence was the original performer. Some of you may know her from "Mama's Family " playing as Carol Burnett's Mama, which is funny as Carol was 16 years older than Vicki. I like her version of this song better as her voice comes out over the music better than I think they did with Reba.
Country not only tells a story, but tells extremely dark stories in a upbeat way! If you listed to this and didn't understand English, you'd have no idea it was about infidelity, murder, corrupt police and judges, and a wrongful execution.
Love the song. Love the reaction. But what's with the Gene SImmons hair dooooo. Have another kiss reaction and put the gene makeup on. That would be great!!! I gotta stop drinking uhhhhh
Whoever's in New England......you'll love it...great Reba song....
i worked in a cracker barrel restaurant and reeba come in to eat and as she left i grabbed a menu and a pen and ask her to autograph it for me she talked so sweet to me and signed the menu ill never forget that day or her sweet voice
Yo, that's so cool. Definitely a great memory. Reba was always cool with people, too
"Little sister don't miss when she aims her gun". Classic...
Thats one body that wont be found.
You know that Reba has never written a song she's recorded?
That's my favorite part
@@kiillabytez So, neither did Elvis. She is a good singer. Quite good looking too.
Reba had a huge string of hits in the 80s and 90s which you will enjoy and with which you, as a woman, will appreciate.
I love watching people who've never heard the song react to it. The realization that what happened isn't what the song makes you think happened is the payoff.
I'm not a huge fan of country music, but this is one of the few songs that deeply pierces my soul.
You do a great job.GOD Bless you and your family in JESUS name.
Reba is one of the best.
Reba, the queen of country
cant go wrong with reba, you should see her live, always awesome in person a whole production with costume changes backup singers, dancers, the complete package
Great song! The original version was performed by Vicki Lawrence (Mama of "Mama's Family") in 1972. I'm sure she would have had a fabulous singing career, but she was already becoming successful in comedy. Great reaction :)
"You Lie", "Does He Love You" and "The Greatest Man I Ever Knew" are all 🔥🔥🔥.
I saw someone else recommend this, but “The Greatest Man I Never Knew” is a terrific one from Reba.
I enjoy your channel.
One of her best!!

Reba is good, but I'll always go back to the original version.
Vicki Lawrence was the original singer of this song... it was her one big hit
still prefer her version
No it wasn't. She had 3 big hits in Australia. This song, " Ships in the Night, " and " He Did With Me. " Type them in the UA-cam search box.... they're really good.
I recently found that out the other day lol
The girl that played Thelma Harper in mamas family
Reba sure did this song justice.
She did it well but Reba did it better
I love her hair
Queen Reba...very deep rabbit hole!!! One of a kind! To “see” her sing is an experience, her passion and facial expressions makes her voice even better.
God bless you young lady
One of Reb's most beautiful music video stories are 'Somebody's Chelsea'.
Tasha, I am a HUGE Reba fan. Honestly, she doesn’t have a bad song in my opinion. My favorites by hers: “Forever Love “, “She thinks his name was John “, “You Lie” & “If you see him, if you see her “ duet with Brooks & Dunn.
Seconded for She Thinks His Name Was John.
I’ll be the third to recommend She Thinks His Name Was John.
I'll be the fourth. Reba was the first country artist to approach the whole HIV debate with that song.
The "little sister" line always gets everybody the first time they hear this.
just in case nobody has told you, you have to watch the actual video for Reba's songs (mini movies). Even if you have to do it after the reaction for copyright purposes.
There is a movie made based on this song. That's how good a story it is.
The story telling in country!
You are a doll.
Loved watching you discover the song.
Two of my favorite Reba songs are "The Heart Wont Lie", ft. Vince Gill, and "The Greatest Man I Never Knew" which was written about the plane crash that killed her manager, and her band in the 90s.
❤Reba❤
You should really check out Reba's He Gets That From Me, or Somebody.
Two of my favorites from the Country Queen!
Reba and Kelly because of you.
Reba little rock
Reba who ever is in new England
Reba strange
Reba I'm a survivor
Reba the heart won't lie.
The list can go on forever but kelly and reba doing because of you was bone chilling.. especially there music video with the old school theme
There is a great song by Tanya Tucker called, What's Your Mama's Name. You would like it!
I just don't know who's my Favorite, Reba or Dolly.....both Awesome....Again, Thank You, Tasha!!!
Vicki Lawrence did the original, there's also a 3rd version which is on the movie The night the lights went out in Georgia with Dennis Quaid and Kristy Mcnichol. Awesome soundtrack and they did their own singing
Whoever's in New England is an oldie but a goodie and she sounds amazing!
This a pale version of the 1973 original.
You need to check out Martina McBride’s song called Concrete Angel. The official video.
Yes 💜
You are so pretty.
I love this song. Brings back tons of memories.
My Mom and her best friend loved singing this song. They were friends for more than 50 years. Getting into trouble. Country bars are notoriously rowdy with alot of beer, and dancing and a bit whoring around. They had each others backs. 2 peas in a pod! The stories I could tell.

Reba has really good songs listen to im a survivor
You asked for Reba McEntire suggestions, Cowgirls Don't Cry... It is a beautiful sad song. And I'm telling you in advance that sad have your tissues ready. Peace and love
I forgot to tell you it is really Brooks & Dunn with Reba McEntire featured. I would recommend watching the video. BTW I love you guys
Fancy is one of my favorite Reba songs along with the extended version of the night the lights went out in georgia
You've got to see her Beyonce cover "If I Were A Boy" .... beyond beautiful!!
You said that you like Reba's hair. Well I think your hair looks pretty great in this video. I like it.
You’re right-County music DOES tell a story; it’s an older style of music.
React to The Heart Won’t Lie- Reba McEntire and Vince Gill
I didn't know Reba covered this.
“The heart won’t lie” is a good one. With Vince Gill. And so is the song “you lie”
You should watch the video for the song. They do a fantastic job aging Reba.
I love YOUR hair in this reaction. Great job! 👏
I'm a Survivor is a great song by Reba and have you heard Elvis sing in the Ghetto it is a touching song ! So many songs I would love for you to hear
I love you “damn!”.. so cute.
You have GOT to add Carrie Underwood to your reactions. Specifically her music videos for both "Before he cheats" and "Two Black Cadillacs" Amazing songstress, and both songs with a real twist.
"Whoever's in New England" -Reba
Great song
That’s the first Reba song that I ever knew.
Concrete Angle by Martina McBride. Well anything by Martina, vocally, she is just a hair below Reba. Independence Day is another brilliant one.
If you want to hear a good Reba song listen to “ you lie” imho her best !
Please watch the video for this song. I'm sure you can't post it, but it is always best to also watch Reba's videos.... they add so much to her songs.
You should watch the video to this. It really good. You would like it.
the little red haired Oklahoma girl has a very unique voice. Who ever is in New England by Reba is one of my favorites because my husband use to cheat on me a lot back in the day Reba got me threw some things
Tasha, try Humble and Kind by Tim McGraw. Reeeeally nice song.🌷
Just wanted to say that I love your hair...:)
There's also a movie with the same name, based on this song!🎶🎶😊
I was born and raised in Alabama I am one of the best shots everyone I know knows and what none of them know is the best shot I know is my little sister
Hi Tasha. If you want to hear what all country is really about, react to Trace Atkins’ “Songs About Me.” Impossible not to fall in love with the writing process of country when you hear it.
Thank you so much for doing this song!
You have to watch Reda's song RADIO.
Check out Reba’s fancy.
She reacted to it too if you wanna check it out!
This is a cover Vicki Lawrence of carol brunette fame sang the original !
I like Reba, but would rather listen to Vicki. More mysterious sounding. If you watch the video of Reba, she adds to much & gives away what happens before you hear it. Just my opinion. Grew up listening to Vicki sing this.
My sister had the 45 of that when I was a kid.
If you like this sort of country, the mm... hardcore?... variety, please check out Conway Twitty’s Saturday Night Special.
Andy was her fiancee. The video of this explains it so much better.
This was a cover of mama Thelma harper aka viki Lawrence
If you like stories, try Waylon Jennings " Rose in Paradise."
Try her You Lie, Rumor Has It, and Just Like Them Horses, it's in honor if her Dad. You definitely want the official video on that last one! Oh and Does He Love You duet with Linda Davis.
Do Trace Atkins just fishing . makes me miss my dad
👍
Leanne Womack- Never again again or Last Call
I'm glad you did the audio without the video. I find the video very annoying. The little movie really detracts from the song. I always loved the original by Vicki Lawrence.
I think you would like Bobbie Gentry's song Ode To Billy Joe
Awesome remake!!! Love this song 🤩!.... You need to check out Jason Aldean,( he's a Georgia boy!!) He's got tons of good ones! "Dirt road anthem" and "my kinda party" are good starters ❣️❣️
I will recommend you watch the video of Bobbie Gentry's "Ode to Billy Joe" I think you will like this!! I enjoy your Country channel; keep it going:)
You should do Reba's song Take it Back. It is a fun little song and one of my favorites. Though she has a lot of great songs.
I second that.
React to Reba McEntire HAVE YOU EVER CHEATED ON ME
Brooks and dunn with REBA if you she her if you him
Should’ve watch the music video
kt oslin, patty loveless, tanya tucker, the judds, lorie morgan , .....besides Reba, these were the othe greats.m please check em out. not asking to post if ya don't like.
I love watching your reaction videos. I would like to suggest "Long Black Veil" by Johnny Cash. It's kind of along the same lines of this one.
Little sister shot her husband Andy and her brothers wife and her brother hung for it. Very deep song.
Check out the original by vickie Lawrence
This was good, but I prefer Vicki Lawerence's version. Nice reaction love your hair
She thinks his name was john And the greatest man I never knew
I love Reba, but this is a cover of a one hit wonder. Vicki Lawrence was the original performer. Some of you may know her from "Mama's Family " playing as Carol Burnett's Mama, which is funny as Carol was 16 years older than Vicki. I like her version of this song better as her voice comes out over the music better than I think they did with Reba.
John Michael Montgomery The Little Girl.
I'm not a country fan , but there is something musical that this and some other country songs that hits a non fan in a good way
Country not only tells a story, but tells extremely dark stories in a upbeat way! If you listed to this and didn't understand English, you'd have no idea it was about infidelity, murder, corrupt police and judges, and a wrongful execution.
You need to watch the video
Love the song. Love the reaction. But what's with the Gene SImmons hair dooooo. Have another kiss reaction and put the gene makeup on. That would be great!!! I gotta stop drinking uhhhhh
