I just wanna see someone perform some of these live! Lead Singer: "Ladies and Gentlemen, this is Mambo No. 5!" Guitarist: "What? We've been practicing 'Holiday' this whole time..." Singer: "Eh, it'll probably work out."
How the hell do you get him to sing in tune to an entirely different song without it sounding all auto-tuned? That's pretty cool. And the "Mambo #5" in Billy Joe Armstrong's voice was a pro touch. Damn!
I'd assume a combination of reverb, chorus, and playing with the modulation. I can hear the most of it in the chorus, but it's masked pretty damn well.
@@DJCummerbund bummer! well i guess that was disappointing to hear, yet still cool! because it would also been so radically awesome to do such audio engineering. daamn
I heard Holiday on the radio the other day and you've changed my way of thinking so much I kept waiting for the "Ladies and gentleman, this is Mambo #5" and when it never came the whole song just felt wrong as hell
I'm actually really blown away but this. Firstly, the idea is really out of this world - who would've ever thought these two would go great? Second, the changes of the pitch on Lou's voice in the choruses are really top notch. However, by far the most amazing thing are the Billie Joe harmonies. He even sings this is mambo number five in the end. Not sure if DJ Cummerbund sang these parts himself, or he really manipulated their voices like this. I mean, whatever it was, sure was magical. Kudos for this masterpiece, mister Cummerbund. 10/10
Holiday was THEE song in my high school band. I don't know why but we played it all four years and would all randomly break into song before class would start.

@@djdamagedome ok but he's got Greenday's singer saying mambo number 5... And there's no way that Wild Cherry would have played alongside Rammstein to give him access to "play that funky music rammstein"

The slight changes in pitch in No. 5 to match Holiday are so good and sound so natural. You are seriously good at this, dude.

This is the only of his smashups I even notice the change at all. And yes very natural. If I never knew the original MN5 I wouldn't even know.
yeah, his mastery at changing pitch it really what makes these mash ups work so damn well.
