Hello everyone and welcome back to Brink of Speed! The Brink of Speed store⬇️ stores.daggercustomapparel.com/brink_of_speed_gear/shop/home Today, I will take you to Corvette World and show you 3 fantastic C7 Corvette deals. If you are in the market for a C7, you should not pass these up. Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you out on the road!
While I do in fact have a C8 on order, I would NEVER refer to my car as "ONLY" and 80k car. That is a LOT of money to me and it took a long time to be able to afford such a vehicle. LOVE your comment! lol
I just sold my beautiful black 2006 Z06 with 29,700 miles on it for 30k. Car was well taken care of and was in mint condition. That was my first Corvette and I loved it!! I now have the Corvette bug and will be looking forward to the day I buy another.
So now to the heart of your question. Yes, when you are in manual mode the engine stays in V8. That is true either by hitting the "M" button or by entering "temporary tap" by pulling one of the paddles. Temporary tap will revert to "Drive" after about 5 seconds if you don't request an additional shift in that time. AFM is also de-activated in "Track" mode. Since PTM is only available in Track mode, the answer is yes to that one too. If you are in PTM, it will be V8 only. New for 2020 is the "Z" mode which will come from the factory set up as an extra sporty mode including shift schedules pulled from the "Track" mode, so that will be V8 only. Of course, you can customize "Z" mode any way you want, so if you elect another shift pattern, AFM will return.
Steve Wilson Hello Steve, thank you for your detailed response. Do you work for GM? If so, I’d love to have an email with more details. If you can please send me an email to Bos2020c8@gmail.com I’ll respond to it and ask my questions. Thanks again Steve. 😊
Beautiful 2015 Z06.. Only problem, 2015-2016 had serious overheating issues and would go into limp mode even when not driving on the track. Both of my friends traded their 2015's in for Zl1's because of the overheating issues. I would not mess with the earlier models AT ALL.. They fixed the problem in 2017..

Yes there are some great deals on these cars. Depends on the person. C 8 seems to be much nicer vehicle? I would wait and buy a C8 when they became available. Even with the discounts the C8 seems like a lot more car for the money.
@@Richard-nd7qe The C8 isn't your normal... "new model". It's been on the road for over a year now. The concept car was on the test track over 4 years ago.
I just went to Corvette World of Houston recently, great service! I’m a prospective c7 buyer. Do you think the C7s will drop in price due to the new C8?
My neighbor just bought one with the Z07 package it's super nice he already ordered a full exhaust off road pipes too he leaves for work real early so I am sure I will now be getting up when he leaves in the morning lol I love it though
If I were to buy a C7 at this point, it would only be a Grand Sport with manual transmission. Last of a breed and more well balanced than a Z06 with no overheat issues.
There was a dynamite looking Hood it was a red ZR1 will the ZR1 raised Hood like that fit onto a Grand Sport everything was very informative except for one item that's always on my mind is the the cost of a extended warranty and what does it cover
I've been there, they're pretty damned good - I don't agree that the pricing was great, but everything else was exquisite, and they do still have to turn a profit, so I'd call their prices "reasonable". Was checking out their selection of C6Z's and that gorgeous black 427 they've still got.
AndrewB383 hey friend, you’re right their prices are not home runs .BUT you get an awesome car. All their inventory is awesome. When you visit their show room you get confused. That’s when you wish you were a millionaire. From what I see and heard, Rob is a knowledgeable and very nice guy. Good luck for the ones shopping for a Vette and Rob...
im lookin 2 get a used c7 this year..but i want something i can take n trac it at least 1 time..so it needs 2 have the z-51 pac. in it...now the quest. is..if i spend the extra $$$ on the grand sport..does it have the extra coolers 4 the diff n the trans + the enlarged brakes??
Daniel Shara, have you been following the pricing on the C8s? 2020 is sold out, and as GM raises the pricing, by the time they actually hit the dealerships as inventory in 2021 or 2022, you won't be able to get into a new Corvette for under 90k. That is going to cause such a massive price gap between a used 2019 C7 versus a new 2022 C8 (in 2022) that it will cause depreciation to stall on heavily optioned 18 & 19 C7s -- especially the Grand Sport & Z06. They're absolutely not going to lose 30% of their value instantly, and I'd bet they won't even lose 30% over 5 years or more.
Are the prices on the cars the out the door price on the used C7 Z06 ,in Vermont ,looking to purchase another Vett ,in the Spring .Thanks for any info you could provide...
Do you think now that I am retired I will be driving more. I’m insured for 5,000 miles or less per year which I never achieve. More like 3,000 or less miles per year. 2020 I drove just day trips 200 miles or less. A weird year as car is in winter storage Nov 1 to normally May 1 as a rule in Iowa for me.🤔👍
Z06 would be a bit much for me. Grand Sport is perfect. I’m a Front liner paramedic/ER Tech. Just turned 50y/o in July. It’s been a rough road with all this pandemic stuff bro. Realistically with all that’s going on right now I probably shouldn’t be even thinking of a toy but Thought to give myself a little gift.
@@BrinkofSpeed I would if I didn't already have my 2017 manual ZO6 ZO7 3LZ in admiral blue. 57k for that one you highlighted is a superb price for so few miles.....
@@BrinkofSpeed would you be up for doing a video showcasing vettes that are for sale in the 20 to 40k range? C5s C6s C7 stingrays used. I have a few friends interested in purchasing a vette in that affordable price range.....
Love that 15 black Z06 manual....I know its not a Z07 but from what I have been seeing that price isn't that bad... My 91 ZR-1 actually stickered for $ 65,000....I mean come on....That has to be like 100K today maybe more... Wonder if you paid cash how much that 15Z would cost...I think dealerships would rather you finance so they can make some money on the interest....I'm not sure.... Hey brink of speed you get the feeling if you paid cash they would knock some of the price down ?
johnny double U Yep, it’s a great car for sure. The 91 ZR1 was and still is so freaking cool! Yeah, 65k back then is more than a 100k today, it would be more like 122k. I don’t know if they would lower the cost much based on a cash buy but you should call rob and ask.
I like how they talk up all of the aftermarket goodies but if you go to trade in anything they tell you that your investment in aftermarket accessories isn't worth anything.
Two things 1) my new 18’ stingray I’ve had for 9 months has had another torque tube replacement. Anyone know about this issue (something about torque converter and the engine going into 4 cylinder mode damaging it?). 2) Everyone not need bit a Z06 just because they can afford one. My opinion is the stingray is a better bet for guys looking to drive them daily with most people do anyways not actually tracking them. It’ll save you tons more money so you can buy the New C8 🚘 sooner with less guilt. 😄
I would probably wait til the C8 Z06 shows up. I expect nearing C7 ZR1 horsepower ratings for a much lower price than a discounted excellent C7 ZR1. Plus it will likely have the DOHC flat plane crank engine and with the mid-engine platform perform much better . I know...no manual shift. Well, only about 20% of the Corvette buyers in the last years ordered a manual and you cannot buy Lamborghinis, Ferraris, McLarens etc...with a manual. I wonder how many of those who complain about the lack of manual shift in the C8 are actual potential buyers and not just critics...kinda like those who could not stop crying about the loss of round tail lights.
That Grand Sport was amazing, but I can't understand why people go so crazy adding aesthetic bits and pieces (in this case Carbon Fiber EVERYTHING) to Corvettes only to the sell/trade the vehicle a short time later. To each their own!
I actually think the C7 ZR1 (especially those with manual trans) will eventually go up in value, since it is the last of the front-engine Corvette model.
Only a totally base 1LT with nothing extra C8 will slip in under 60K. And the C7 Z06 outperforms the Stingray level C8. It's up to what one is looking for. And I have C7 Stingray's in the low 40's and C6's less than that. ;)
There is a very easy explanation of why someone would, they aren’t interested in the C8 at all and believe me, there are millions of those people out there.
Wow, I’m not a real fan of Yellow, but I might have Jumped On That ZR1. I need to buy an Automatic Transmission Car to have the wife onboard. (She can drive a Stick/Manual. I went to her house to pick her up in my 1976 C3 - Hooker Chrome Headers, Burn Your Leg, Side pipes - to pick her up on our first date and she was driving a 1967 VW Bug.) It’s just she doesn’t want any manual transmissions again in her life. 2019 Black on Black ZR1 is what Justin from HPO has and I love the looks of his and the one at Corvette World! Prices on ZR1s now are what, up $50k to $100k more? Beautiful cars and 750 HP. A lot to handle and can get away from you real fast. The C8 surprises me so far. I expected losing traction more in the back end of the C8, but not yet. Have to say I’ve not been in many situations with driving it still under 1,000 miles. Maybe I need more time and more pressure from the right foot? The new tires are still probably sticky.
Pierre Roberge Google - 4700 Z06 on dealers lot R&T covering story and I think motor 1. There were 2, 2015 blue Z06 in Oklahoma when I went there brand new
These are really nice. I'm super into 91-95 Toyota MR2's, but in the back of my mind I'm like "I could make a really fast MR2 or I could have a corvette".
I know there’s a lot of stupid comments like complaints about the pricing. They’re ignorant. The pricing is great. The dealership is neat clean and beautiful. The salesmanship is just fine. All you folks are very likable. The comments are boneheaded. All those elements are extremely good in your videos! What’s wrong? NOT talking about the kinds of things that people buy them for! If all you’re going to do is talk about carbon fiber and chrome and colors and beautiful interiors and shiny paint and the virtues of yellow or black or red or two toned or even three toned paint jobs then sell VW’s or sell Priuses! But if you’re going to sell Corvettes, then SELL Corvettes!!! For heaven’s sake make me want to come there and spend my money! Don’t you get it? I’m going to come there and spend my money when you take me on a journey through the ONE thing for which I am willing to spend close to $100,000 one way or the other: POWER, SPEED, PERFORMANCE - And the engine, drive train, transmission, suspension, turbo’s? One? Or two? And/or Super charger? Only AFTER that do you tell me incidentally it’s got Bluetooth, GPS, this that or the other kind of radio and speakers, accepts headphone, accepts or not smart phones, I pods, tell me all about the tech and things it will or will not support, the shape of the steering wheel, the way everything feels and fits together whether or not you’ve driven this or that car, tell us about the handling, don’t leave anything out, just got to the stuff for which people by Corvettes FIRST & FOREMOST!!! To paraphrase Bill Clinton: “ITS ABOUT THE POWER & PERFORMANCE STUPID!”
Ha, ha, thanks Mike for the heads up on that Black ZO6 manual. My mental wheels were tur'n and bur'n on that one until I saw no ceramic brakes. Oh the humanity. 🤦♂️😉 I love the black ZR1 manual, but what I'd like to see you do is go back when Corvette World gets the one in that Robert was talking about with the 3ZR option package. In closing, Corvette World is probably the only dealer that can make a potential electronic buyer feel warm and fuzzy and living up here in the Ice Box of NJ, I need to feel warm and fuzzy.😎 Save the Wave. 🎌
Peter Carey lol, You’re Peter, I figured you would love that one. I guess I forgot about the carbon ceramic brakes lol. Are you taking about the yellow ZR1? It is ready to sell now for 120k. lol you crack me up Peter but, I knew it would warm your heart to watch this Corvette World video. 😊
@@BrinkofSpeed In hind sight, I guess I was talking about the yellow one, but I was so "in the zone" when Robert was talking while standing next to the black one and he said he had another one that's a 3ZR that's not in the showroom, I thought that it was identical to the black one except that it was not even on site yet. The yellow one is extremely nice, but did you know if you own a ZR1 with the ZTK package and want to order a low wing just to have it, which I want to do because sometimes I feel like a nut and sometimes I don't🤣, GM will not let you do it. Also, if you have a Convertible ZR1 w/ZTK package, it comes with the small front spitter side Winglets, GM will not sell you the high side Winglets. "Supposedly" both of the aforementioned "mods" upsets the geometry of the cars as originally ordered. Having said this, I'm sure if I was interested in the yellow ZR1 Corvette World could get me a High Wing by submitting the VIN of the black one. See 👀, necessity is the Mother of Invention, or as I prefer to look at it, Necessity is the Mother of Creativity!😉 FWIW, there's no such "creativity" involved with the C8. Order the High Wing Option and you get both. Hmmm, maybe I should do a movie and title it "On a Wing and a Prayer." 😁 Save the Wave.🎌
Since you posted this video the prices are still dropping. I saw a 3ZR CONVERTIBLE 106k! Looks like the ZR1 is dropping as is the rest of the C7 lineup and once the C8 is in customers hands and on the street, C7's will drop probably 15% or more!
@@BrinkofSpeed I saw it in the parking lot of the gym with For Sale sign, price and phone #. So I know the warranty will be gone soon. I did see it was manual.
Funny how the show room of corvette world looks good , but the behind the walls the back shop looked sloppy ,are the techs like that to .I'v seen better looking Corvette shops ,,,But that said ,video was good and there prices are good also..very good selection of Vette's ....
Wait until C8’s start getting delivered.. The C7’s will drop like a rock due to trade in’s and accumulating old stock from people waiting on the new one. I wouldn’t consider buying just yet if I liked the C7. Come February in the middle of winter and the dealers will be absolutely begging people to buy the old ones.
Well...difference of opinion I guess. I can’t imagine anyone wanting a C7 when a C8 is available at such a great value. It’s a better car in essentially every way. I wouldn’t buy one at 50% off MSRP....unless of course it was to flip it and make a few bucks.
ISUringman1974 I’m not saying there are millions of buyers, I’m saying there are millions that want C7’s and not C8’s and when some of those millions go to buy, they will buy C7’s or lower.
Brink of Speed Now wait a minute. You think there are MILLIONS of corvette fans that would PREFER to have a C7 over a C8?? I don’t know a single person that falls into that category but I do know a significant number of people that wouldn’t even consider a corvette until the C8 was introduced. Seriously, why would anyone choose an older model other than strictly a much cheaper price? I guess there’s a handful of people that simply HAVE to have a manual and a few that really like the old body style, but that can’t be a real big number.
Hard for me to pay for a new Corvette. I own a 2004 with 36,000 miles. As a rule I only drive my car 5,000 miles or less a year. I’d like to buy a newer Vette but knowing I’m not going to drive it anymore than the one I have now. Mine has been pd for yrs ago and makes it that much harder knowing I will take on a car payment. On the fence🤔
The ZR1 is cheap cuz of the color and packaging. The others are still over priced. I picked up a Brand new 19’ GS new color Matrix grey for $57k in June. In November you could have probably done even better than I did.

PERSONALLY DON'T LIKE THE LIGHT GRAY INTERIOR. GREAT VIDEO. THANK YOU.
Yeah, I'm really not a fan of it either, but I love the car! Thank you and you're very welcome!
Agreed. Probably why there are only 2 in existence
Exactly! LOL!
Hey JAMES, that may be not your choice but different strokes for different folks. No matter what we see “it’s still a CORVETTE “ . Anyway good luck. DENNIS Petrucci from Florida ...👍👌🏈😎🌴🏁🇺🇸
That yellow ZR1 is beautiful! Rarely see one with chrome wheels.
Great upload Mikey. I bet you a fat man that you and Rob have swayed a few potential Vette buyers. Wow...Corvette World rocks !!! Good job guys. Say hello to Rob for me. 😉😁👍

Yes there are some great deals on these cars. Depends on the person. C 8 seems to be much nicer vehicle? I would wait and buy a C8 when they became available. Even with the discounts the C8 seems like a lot more car for the money.
I’m not a red car guy BUT that red one with the black trim was insane. Nice video.
Watch the C7 Corvette tank even more when the C8 truly hits the streets.
Tim Johnstone Na, there will still be a demand for them, they will do fine even after the C8 comes out.
Brink of Speed Keep telling yourself that, I have never seen so many C7C6 Corvette up for sale.
@@Richard-nd7qe The C8 isn't your normal... "new model". It's been on the road for over a year now. The concept car was on the test track over 4 years ago.
I’m okay with that, make me be able to afford one next year
Hi Mike, Truly enjoyed the video, cars and Corvette World. Thanks from Thailand. Blue skies, Jg
John Glynn Hey there John, great to hear from you. I’m glad you enjoyed the upload. Have fun in Thailand😊
Would love that grand sport especially rn in todays market. What a deal.
I just went to Corvette World of Houston recently, great service! I’m a prospective c7 buyer.
Do you think the C7s will drop in price due to the new C8?
Bat5.0
GM said they would...
“The new corvette will push all corvette prices down”
Wait Cuz,Just wait, you will save lots. I'm looking to upgrade too.
paul moss Yeah me too! Unfortunately a teenager pulled out infront of me and totaled my car. So a C7 is what I would like
Bat5.0
Google 5000 new Corvettes on dealer lots....
Prepare to grin.
Norwegian Blue Yep, and that would be a great choice.
I thought they fixed the heating issue with the newer z06
Vinny Vici 2017 and newer is when they redesigned the cooling on the supercharger
Very good vid , Mike
Some Great deals !!
Thank, Mike !👍
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! You're welcome, Don.
There was a dynamite looking Hood it was a red ZR1 will the ZR1 raised Hood like that fit onto a Grand Sport everything was very informative except for one item that's always on my mind is the the cost of a extended warranty and what does it cover
Very impressed corvette world appears to be very professional and knowledgeable
t dang They sure are both of those! I love this place!
When the new Corvette comes out the prices will drop 30% across-the-board
Daniel Shara The manual transmission C7’s (manuals no longer made) will hold there value and won’t drop at all...mark my words
Wanna bet??
C6 zr1 or c7 z07 I'm split between!
They will need to eventually drop them from inventory. Looking in other states that are not sports car markets is a good start
Are the prices on the cars the out the door price on the used C7 Z06 ,in Vermont ,looking to purchase another Vett ,in the Spring .Thanks for any info you could provide...
the yellow zr1 is hot...but it needs black rims!
Antonio Cognato Agreed 😊
I love corvette world, they always have a great selection :)
Cedars Gear Me too, I totally agree!
beautiful , i leave it just as it is i would ve done the same upgrades any ways that red vette its optioned my way lol
Issa Bendeck It was a gorgeous Corvette, that is for sure.
Decent prices, actually the best
Great presentation! Rob, do you deal with new as well as pre-owned?
Peter Campanella They actually do not sell new Corvette’s there but, they get them almost new all the time.
Will Robert take two 2023 z06's in on trade? For the zr1's
Finally a ZR1 priced properly for 109k.
Fabulous deal on the manual ZO6. All over that like white on rice....
Dawn Till Dusk Landscapes LLC Heck yeah, are you going to get it? 😊
@@BrinkofSpeed I would if I didn't already have my 2017 manual ZO6 ZO7 3LZ in admiral blue.

@@BrinkofSpeed would you be up for doing a video showcasing vettes that are for sale in the 20 to 40k range? C5s C6s C7 stingrays used.

Dawn Till Dusk Landscapes LLC I totally understand and yes, it was an amazing price.
Dawn Till Dusk Landscapes LLC I may be able to do that yes, let me come up with a title and I’ll try and make it happen.
Beautiful C7, how could you let that go.
I think this must have been before I found your channel.
A good video except for your 4 minute 30 second introduction.
I Concur!!!
Thanks for saving me 4.5 minutes
I like how they talk up all of the aftermarket goodies but if you go to trade in anything they tell you that your investment in aftermarket accessories isn't worth anything.
@8:50 ARP Carbon Fiber Rear diffuser
Thank you for this info. I really appreciate it.
Great info, nice prices and cars!!!!🎬🎥🎤🏁🏁🏁👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Anthony Sublett I’m glad you enjoyed it.
You should take the Z06 to CarMax and vlog that...see what it’s worth now with the C8 on the horizon
Is a 2018 ZO6 convertible 3LZ 9500 miles for 68,500 a good deal?
I rather buy the 2020 because the price on those car are insanely high I would never pay 57 000 for a Manuel 2015
I LIKES THE BLUE ONES.
why would anyone pay those high prices on used vets for the same c8 2020 at under 60k?
Only a totally base 1LT with nothing extra C8 will slip in under 60K. And the C7 Z06 outperforms the Stingray level C8. It's up to what one is looking for. And I have C7 Stingray's in the low 40's and C6's less than that. ;)
There is a very easy explanation of why someone would, they aren’t interested in the C8 at all and believe me, there are millions of those people out there.
There is a sucker born every minute. $120K -> $100K -> 80K - $60K under 2.9sec
No, I don't do sucker games here.
Corvette World Rob Exactly!
Good info! Pricing still too high for me. I’d like to see pricing lower in the $40’s not $50’s. 👍🏻
109K...pretty good deal for a batmobile.
Brent Heck yeah!
I have a c6 zo6 and really are considering a 7sp manual c7 save the manuals
Kris I. Heck yeah, the C6 Z06 is absolutely a phenomenal beast but you’ll love the C7 even more.
.. but the 15 and 16 Z06’s have the limp mode overheating issues.
Cole Trick This is correct, but I’ve owned mine for 1.5 years now and had it on the track 3 times and it has only done it to me once.
But isn’t once one to many times...
There's no recall for that yet?
Brink of Speed is limp mode only for automatics or manual too?
Is the red carbon fiber still available? I’m located in Connecticut.
Legna Resto I isn’t, it sold the day after I released this video.

Wow, I’m not a real fan of Yellow, but I might have Jumped On That ZR1.
I need to buy an Automatic Transmission Car to have the wife onboard. (She can drive a Stick/Manual. I went to her house to pick her up in my 1976 C3 - Hooker Chrome Headers, Burn Your Leg, Side pipes - to pick her up on our first date and she was driving a 1967 VW Bug.)
It’s just she doesn’t want any manual transmissions again in her life.
The new tires are still probably sticky.
the depreciation of the c7 after the c8 comes out is going to make new records.
Pierre Roberge I don’t think so

MuffinMan0521 You will enjoy the Corvette more, trust me.
I’m still sticking with the previous corvette z06 design :(
Wow Lotta great deals the sad thing is somebody took a real bath Trading those cars in or selling them out right.
red stingray Corvette There sure are and you are probably right but at least they sold them/traded them to Corvette World and got the most they could.
Hmmm, maybe I should do a movie and title it "On a Wing and a Prayer." 😁
Save the Wave.🎌
Since you posted this video the prices are still dropping. I saw a 3ZR CONVERTIBLE 106k! Looks like the ZR1 is dropping as is the rest of the C7 lineup and once the C8 is in customers hands and on the street, C7's will drop probably 15% or more!
I saw a 2017 C7 Z06 Manual with 7500 miles for $50K. Is that a good price?
Ben Hayat Most likely yes. Which LZ was it and was it a Z07? What other options did it have on it?
@@BrinkofSpeed
I saw it in the parking lot of the gym with For Sale sign, price and phone #. So I know the warranty will be gone soon.

Ben Hayat Gotcha.
how much do you think a used zo6 will go for once the C8s are out?? asking for a friend :D

Come February in the middle of winter and the dealers will be absolutely begging people to buy the old ones.
scott h I don’t think this is going to happen at all. Only 37k people are getting the C8 in 2020, there are millions more that don’t even want the C8.
Scott h
I think it is 70-30 that you are right. Sorry, Mike...but there are not millions of C7 buyers!
Dude that's Carrollton TX. Down the street from me.
Mike M Awesome!
Outstanding video. Thank you. Will definitely look into these cars.
