Thanks for this. I am 6'6", don't have the best hip mobility and have struggled with a hook for a long time so Tony's swing has been a model for me. There are so many great points in this video of elements that I did not pick up on!
Open up your stance a bit. That's alot of body to get through impact zone (ie the pivot).

I don’t want to be that guy, but Tony was recruited to play division 1 basketball at Weber State. The same school Damian Lillard went to. Tony is probably more athletic than Rory and Dustin Johnson. He shortened his swing on purpose. He’d be the longest hitter on tour if he had a longer swing
His body will likely have less injuries as a result.
I believe Brooks was once asked in an interview who the most athletic guy on tour was and he responded Tony. He's a freak athlete that chooses the short swing for control.
This is correct. Tony is very athletic. He did play basketball and dunks with ease.
I’m 6’8 and play college basketball. My golf intructor told me to watch Tony Finau clips 😅

Hello mate, great overview of the swing. I watched it because I have had a few people tell me, my swing looks like Finau’s! I can see why now I watched this, I have the same compact back swing but I have much more rotation of my hips. My swing is based on George Genkas so I squat much more.

I may adopt this. I'm all over the place. At 6'3" maybe I can still get distance with a short swing like this, but more importantly I can maybe hit it a lot straighter!!!
Tony doesn’t extend his trail leg in the back swing thus his hips don’t rotate as much as Rory or Dustin.
