How we build a 36v 21ah Molicel 21700 Battery Pack [Ebike Battery Build]

In todays video we build a custom 36v 21ah battery from Molicel P42A Cells in a 10s5p configuration with offset cell spacers, zig zag nickel layout and 35amp nominal BMS.

This is a baby battery pack. I make 21S10P with molicel and copper nickel sandwich. And proper ANT BMS so it can deliver those 420A

Trying to source Samsung cells, but seems to be a shortage at the moment. What do you think about Samsung 30Q for use as an ebike battery. I am trying to rebuld a 10S 4P pack for my 250W bike. Also how long have you tried these Molicel for? Are they going to give a long life compared to a leading brand?

If you check out Molicel they partnered with Milwaukee Electric Tool company in 2005 and have supplied cells for there cordless lithium tools since - they also develop EV batteries for Ford and BMW's E-Mini so rest assured they are a highly recognised and trusted brand. We only source genuine cells from leading brands for all of our builds. I have a 36v e bike that I can't find a replacement battery for, would be able to be re-celled, assuming it is the battery?

Maybe a dumb question since I'm not an electrician, just the bottom 2 sets cells to simplify things. If you were to remove them from the battery pack, would the configuration be 2s5p since you zig zag the series connection to double it?

So this battery was for a friend of mines mobility scooter, his setup only draws 36v at around 15A so all that was required was a 10s 20A bms, That little bms fitted the bill- yes it was cheap compared to an ANTbms. The customer didnt require bluetooth or any other features so that little bms was a perfect fit.
