Heck, I had a crush on her in my mid-twenties! She was quite stunning in that Egyptian-themed costume. It's a real shame that a terrorist acronym now contaminates the study and appreciation of Egyptian mythology. I read somewhere that the original concept for this show was to have Shazam and Mary Marvel (one of the earliest female superheroes from the golden age of comics), but the copyrights to that character were too expensive so the TV writers invented the Isis character instead. In the show, science teacher Andrea Thomas calls upon the power of Egyptian goddess Isis for her superpowers the same way Mary Marvel (and Captain Marvel) would call upon the mystical powers of SHAZAM! (an acronym for the mythological figures Solomon, Hercules, Atlas, Zeuss Achilles, Mercury). As I recall, this show was unusually wholesome, upbeat and taught kids moral values - something we could use more of today.

You're welcome, Joseph! I've got videos out there on both of those shows as well.
your viewers need to grow up and learn there was history before 2001 that is what your channel and others are showing people and remind me and others of your background i how wonderful our childhood was
We did have wonderful childhoods, didn't we Stephen?
WOW I didn’t even realize that it had such a short run and yet left such a strong impression. I was always pulled to the goodness of these type of shows.
I got ban from Facebook cause my cat name was Isis and folks called cops saying I was part of that group OMG get a flipping life folks my cat had that name since she was a kitten in 1999. Lol
So catist of those Facebook folks
@@kamuelalee so sick of folks getting their knickers in a wad over anything and everything.
@@ingriddubbel8468 gotten where everything and anything is political incorrect here in the USA.
@@dorotheawalker7985 Agreed!

People are stupid!
Man, do I remember Joanna Cameron, she was not only amazingly attractive but she came across as intelligent and compassionate person. Obviously from this segment so wonderfully produced by Dave Sundstrom all of the above is true. Cheers to Joanna Cameron for reinventing herself, what a WOMAN!!!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, Michael!
I certainly remember her show! (Pity the name now makes it awkward! It's my understanding that is why the show 'Archer' was re-vamped!) & Good for her if the Hawaii thing is true! Mabey she'll find Vincent Price's treasure!
Great comment, TP! I hadn't even thought about that long last treasure. Yep, she should definitely go look for it!
"That Hawaii thing" is true. Joanna has made the occasional comicon appearance over the last twenty or so years and had said as much without naming names. She still has a US based agent who handles matters for her and confirmed many things to her fans over the years on the show's official page.
@Daniel Appleton This was a few seasons ago. They closed their Secret Agent operation & became Private Eyes! In the upcoming season... (SPOILER ALERT!!!) They are pulling a 'Dallas Premier' & Sterling awakes to find the last few seasons 'Have All Been A Dream!'!!!
@@kevinmoore2929 Thanks for the confirmation! I never find the time to get to Cons anymore!
Holy crap I remember this! Thank you
This remake is a shining star for censorship gone bad. The efforts Dave had to go just to talk about an old Sat. Morning Superhero show.
It wasn't a big deal, Jack. A simple concession made to get the video in front of more people and make it "advertiser-friendly". Truthfully, I really do think this version is better than the original that had been available for anyone to view for the last 18 months (but no one could find).
OMG I remember this. #memories😊
Aah! Damn! That was One of My
Fav Saturday Morning Shows!
I liked her show better than
Shazam! ISIS! & ElectroWoman!
We're the bomb!!!
Woman Power! In the Right Way!
Role models for young girls!
I liked them all!
Thanks for the 'rememories'! I actually have the old seventies View Master reels of 'Isis'! Nice!
she was great.
the amulet she wore
just made me think of lillith.
amulets protected the wearer from her.lillith.
code red was ok.
remember?
"Oh mighty Isis"! Omg! I never missed an episode! Thanks for posting this! I miss the my younger days!
I think these shows followed “Fat Albert”. Normally Fat Albert was the last cartoon we watched before heading outside. I could be wrong. Can anyone verify?
In my neck of the woods, Fat Albert was after Shazam/Isis.
I loved this show!!
