Hi luke I agree with you when people are learning to drive they should be taught about lorries I am not a lorry driver but since watching your videos and others I now know how much room you all need so it's been very useful certainly a very different video thank you for showing us
Only a year late! But there again I only found your channel yesterday, it makes great viewing, I've already seen you drop at a few places I visit. All I drive is a car or a transit, so not quite in the same league as you :-) Regarding your comment on car driver training, many years ago, about 50, I used to hitch hike around the country and got lots of lifts in HGVs, some of the drivers would talk through what they were doing and why, I learned a heck of a lot from them and some of it has actually stuck! ALL motorists should do a day in an HGV as an observer as part of their training. PS thinking of Arena, if they ever ask you to go to Queens Club, tennis in London on a similar job, DON'T do it! Imagine your most nightmarish job and then double the pain. Thank you for producing your videos, most interesting, educational even!
Well done on your driving (A1) and the vid mate. You're a Star!! Best I have managed is a Transit van...lol. First time I have caught up with you and I hope to see more. Good luck!!
Another cracking video Luke, it’s good to use the facilities!! Yes can’t say I like hanging about for too long and 5hrs is definitely too long! Keep up the good work and keep safe! 😀🚛
Great Video Luke, where you delivered to,I live about 20 mins away. Made me giggle when you mentioned the funeral car,as that is my industry, and it was prob one of my cars...but am currently studying to obtain my HGV. Keep up the good work mate👍👍
Always enjoy your videos :) Lol at some of the comments complaining they didn't enjoy this one.. Not sure why you'd sit for 50 minutes through a video you aren't enjoying 😆
Thank you Luke. Enjoyed your video. One of my Favourite Pastimes. Sitting around. People watching thinking Do some People look in the Mirror before l going out the house. Over 5 hours setting around bet you was bored But a nice video for us. P S. agree with you on car Drivers Thanks again. Take care and Stay safe and safe Trucking.
Hi Luke. What is a tug test? And why doesn't the truck fly forwards if you are on it correctly like what stops it. Or do you have to pull the pin to pull away?
I really enjoyed this video it's nice to seeing you exploring places and having fun it's makes a nice change from just the driving and loading and tipping thank I hope you get to make more like this
Hi Luke, the place you were delivering to was in the Barkingside/Fairlop area which uses the Ilford postcode. I missed the chance to see you as you were going past the school that I go to.
Great video, maybe a long wait but atleast you were getting paid, this was the clip you put on Facebook where you were not being left enough room and the normal bellends on Facebook were having a go at you for you reaction etc but as I said to you I'm not z lorry driver but even I know how much room a lorry will need to get out of a junction it's not hard, cheers👍
Surely you shouldn’t be lifting the unit suspension up like that when dropping a trailer? It just makes it harder for the next driver and increases the risk of the pin being missed. Should drop it at level height, pull forward slightly disengaging the pin and then lower the unit suspension and pull out completely and reset the suspension. Not to sound like I’m judging you but it was just an observation. Also the driver who dropped that trailer previously should have engaged the trailer brake. Good reversing though
No mate I’ve always been told to raise it slightly. Especially when loading, and when re attaching to any trailer raise the back end up once I’m under. This way it protects your wheel arches, your loading ramps and doesn’t get 5th wheel greese on the front of the trailer. Always raise suspension and then lower it as you come out. That’s what I do anyway. And yes they should have put trailer brake on. Unfortunately not a lot of people do.
hi people could anyone help me please, how do you work out the pay load over axles please to equal it all outi have just started an hgv course any help appreciated.
the weight of the load times the distance the load is from one of the axles; and divide by the wheelbase of the vehicle. So If you were to place a 8 tonne load on a truck 2 metres from the rear axle and the truck had a 4 metre wheelbase. It would be 8 x 1 divided by 4 So the answer is 2 Which means 2 tonnes of the load goes over the front axle. The remaining 6 tonnes would go over rear axle.
Great vlog Luke. Anyway, honestly, there's a sport event which needs grandstand seating. You would think that the organisers could be about to make sure you went to the correct part of the complex. The only thing they seemed to have agreed upon is to open the height barriers, and that's it. Away they went to get their cuppa tea.
Cannot understand why these factories do not have a proper reception area when you arrive which would help to know where to go. A really different vlog with unusual content. Absolutely brilliant.
Because i delivered more the what they needed “just in case” So I ended up taking alot of stuff back again. Also, we were paid by the hour for how long we were there, ie, boss would have been laid a flat rate for the job + x amount per hour waiting time. Probably £50 an hour or something. In other words, the longer I’m there waiting, the more he’s being paid and the less I’m driving so more profit
I'm not the least bit surprised the tail lift is broken, the state of the others you parked next to. The whole place creeped me out, *shudders* not a person to behold but a loaded trailer sits there awaiting collection...feels like your being watched. Showing off some tasty reverse manoeuvring skills at the venue 10/10!! :D OMG right at the end of this video when you were trapped trying to leave...stuff of nightmares!!! I was like nooo run quick!!! 🙈 GTF outta there before its too late!! All the missing truckers...their last drops were at that company. lololz
as a beginner to learning to drive HGV's and wanting to get involved in the HGV industry would you say learning a class 2 would be better or a class 1?
Any company can “name” their trailer anything they want. So yea it’ll be unique to that company. When I get my own trailer I’ll probably call it something strange and funny 😂
Hi Luke . I have said many times the best drivers are those that drive TRUCKS CARS MOTOR CYCLES & BICYCLES . WHY = Because they know what’s going on and understand the problems other drivers have ! It’s like company’s that build a new warehouse don’t put up signs to instruct drivers & have a big parking lot for cars . And a piddling little drive way for truckers. They just don’t think TRUCKS !!!!
For most Car drivers everything is relative. Small car drivers make small car allowance for SUV’s and bigger cars. Only Commercial Drivers Get it Right, but even they sometimes get it wrong. Oh for the days of a Green Flagman in front and a Red Flagman behind.
Haha reminds me of Sham 69 Hurry up Harry come on we’re going down the pub perhaps you could have this as an intro tune some good old punk I know your too young to know
Did you speak to a single person at the company you picked the seating up from?, can’t believe they didn’t have someone come out and check you weren’t just a well prepared thief 😂
Ridiculous situation. Why were you required to hang around while they constructed the seating...what?? They could have off-loaded you onto the ground and wouldn't made any difference to them. Your boss should've given them two quotes for short stay & long stay. Tell him!

I completely agree with you I'm a bus driver and have that same issue dayleigh
LMFAO, the barriers part was hilarious, escape from new york remake, escape from the depot 🤣👍
Hope you and your wife get well real soon. This COVID sure hasn’t gone away yet. Thinking of you both. 🤞🤞

The best bit was the toilet tour...that was a GRAND STAND Luke!!
I love how you're just having a mooch about without a care in the world! haha

Enjoyed the video chap.Excellent
Loved this episode, great seeing what you have to put up with when doing the weird deliveries
WoW when you said it was 20 to 4, I looked at the clock 3:37.. Good old DAF.. FTW..
This video has me laughing so much lmao

Hi Luke. What is a tug test? And why doesn't the truck fly forwards if you are on it correctly like what stops it. Or do you have to pull the pin to pull away?
Empty car park, they have an HGV needing access that they know is coming and they surround the gate with cars. Makes sense.
I really enjoyed this video it's nice to seeing you exploring places and having fun it's makes a nice change from just the driving and loading and tipping thank I hope you get to make more like this
Luke are you going to truck fest Peterborough?
Great video again Luke love them all
And not forgetting proper parking, toilet and washing facilities throughout the country
Maybe the green court is to resemble a grass court and the brawn a clay court 🤔
Even Luke's rants are polite 🤣🤣🤣

Another great video has always Luke 👍
enjoyed this one a lot more intresting than just driving up the motor way cheers luke
Keep theses videos coming mate I’ve past my reversing test few days ago and got my driving test next Tuesday.
Good luck, i passed mine 3 weeks ago, car to C+E.
hi people could anyone help me please, how do you work out the pay load over axles please to equal it all outi have just started an hgv course any help appreciated.
the weight of the load times
the distance the load is from one of the axles; and divide by
the wheelbase of the vehicle.
So If you were to place a 8 tonne load on a truck 2 metres from the rear axle and the truck had a 4 metre wheelbase.
It would be
8 x 1 divided by 4
So the answer is 2
Which means 2 tonnes of the load goes over the front axle.
The remaining 6 tonnes would go over rear axle.
@@lewismarriott2468 thank you
I can't believe how many people DON'T have common sense not just on the roads, but in life generally.😱
Nice one Luke. Thanks 👍
32:24 no bassy long fart?
This seemed to be the most frustrating job i’ve seen you do!
What a disorganised shit show that client was.
Earned your wages with that reverse Luke, thanks for taking the time to upload this

Great video again luck keep doing them mate good to watch keep trucking mate 👍
Why couldn’t they unload and build after you had left?! Seems logical to me?
Because i delivered more the what they needed “just in case”

Fair play mate! Thanks for the reply! 🤙

fucking good driver mate and i drive class 2 tanker!
as a beginner to learning to drive HGV's and wanting to get involved in the HGV industry would you say learning a class 2 would be better or a class 1?
Straight to class 1.. passed mines a few weeks ago.
Is that “GJB 31” unique for the trailer, like a reg? Or it’s just up to different companies how they label their trailers? Cheers!
Any company can “name” their trailer anything they want. So yea it’ll be unique to that company. When I get my own trailer I’ll probably call it something strange and funny 😂
@@lukecinahgv Trailer McTrailerface
Nice close quarter slow manuvering!! As far as the public not knowing how much room we need, same here in the US.
Another great video
luke,,,,brown pitch ,is all weather,,,and green is grass for summer,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,haha
One a lawn tennis and the orange one like is a clay court out hard court surface for tennis players
I drive that road every day and you have to bully your way around
Is that the quickest you've ran at those gates? :) On a more serious note, excellent vlog as per usual. 👌👍
I don't understand why thay had to build it as well, why can't thay just take it off let you go then build it 😂
How much is it for u or the company for fuel on truck cost you
Think he's said before that a full tank can cost around £600
Saw G11 parked in Wetherby on Wednesday, not sure if it was you but beeped anyway (no one was inside) 🤣
Greetings Luke From New Zealand

The standard of driving in ilford is terrible! I grew up there and no one has a clue how to drive! Stay safe keep up the good work
Give us an update on your dad on your next video Luke!
Good thing nobody was in the toilet or changing room walking in with a camera 😅
Hope ye washed your hands 🙌🏼 😂
That brought back memories Luke I worked at Redbridge radio cars for 25+ years
What would have been bad would have been stuck between the 2 Luke lol
ANT AND DEC MOMENT THAT,,,gates close when you jump in the cab,,,,,,,,,so you run faster,,,,,,,,,,haha

Nice one Luke I take it you are still in G11
Ones green and ones brown 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You on the parallel bars, would have been more entertaining than a snoop round the site.
Schoolboy error all you needed to do was drive up to them to get out 😂 the wires will be in the road surface to trigger them to get out
You need to get the customers to send you a ///what3word address! Great video. 👌
Did you speak to a single person at the company you picked the seating up from?, can’t believe they didn’t have someone come out and check you weren’t just a well prepared thief 😂
I believe he showed up before the officially open and returned it after they closed
Ridiculous situation.
Why were you required to hang around while they constructed the seating...what??
They could have off-loaded you onto the ground and wouldn't made any difference to them.
Your boss should've given them two quotes for short stay & long stay.
Tell him!
