Thank you Sam for this channel. You are by far my favorite travel Indonesia vlogger. I want to offer you encouragement to keep doing your good work. I almost wrote (I rarely leave comments) when you did justice to Bunaken and paid tribute to Wallace, but at this point I've got to write this. Your videos have interesting angles, are nicely edited with dramatic background music and thoughtful commentary. They are entertaining and educational with lots of National Geographic feel. I have no doubt that people will discover you, the content creator, just as they discover Indonesia through you.
Without Pak Sunardi we never knew there is something more in deeper of the jungle. Bada valley, Besoa Valley, buffalo cave painting, Sulawesi indeed a paradise for archeologist. Thanks Sam to virtually taking me to this beautiful mysterious place.
Orang Palu bilangnya “Ngeri” it means “Scarry” or How local react to something unbelievable and enchanted just like you said FASCINATING. UNESCO should see this!
huge fan of your channel, we went here a few years ago and you are correct the place need more research and protection, we saw a megalith along a stream that people just stepped on not knowing their significance. Indonesia is such a vast fascinating country
Sam, I don’t want to sound like a broken record, so while like others I do appreciate the quality of your videography, narration, research etc I just want to specifically mention how I appreciate that unlike many foreign content creators you specify which province you’re in. Oftentimes, foreigners would say “Oh, I’ve been to Sumatra” without understanding that even neighbors like the Bataks of North Sumatra (patriarchal, mostly Christian, fun-loving) and the Minangkabau of West Sumatra (matrilineal, pious Muslim, enterprising) can be very different from each other. Even Central Sulawesi alone is a lot bigger than countries like Croatia, Bosnia and Herezegovina, Denmark, Netherlands or Switzerland, so there’s so much to discover in each and every province in Indonesia. Cheers and thank you for bringing Indonesia to the world! 🍻
@@IndoWild thank YOU for appreciating these details that often go unnoticed by foreigners. It shows your level understanding of our country. Thank you again for showing us Indonesia through your POV 🍻
Your repeating several time about UNESCO. Glad you brought this out.. I totally agree this place should be in UNESCO list of amazing place. And should be preserve forever. It's really a lost Civilization and we can learned from it. I believe that people who live here are ancestors to all the tribes and culture who currently scattered in every corner of Sulawesi. For Example, Like Minahasa people who burried their dead in a Stone with the Lid like an old Kalamba, or Mongondow People Who live in jungle and Burried their dead in a Stone Chamber Like Torajan People and Many other Similarities i didn't know. I always wonder what happened in the past, is it a natural Disasters, Earthquake or Unknown Tragedy happened to them? What make them leave their home and never comeback to build City in this place?. Maybe it will remain a Big Mysteries. that Nobody will know exactly what happened. we only can Guess with every possible explanation and theories we can think off. Amazing Video and Inspiring travel Sam..i hope Someday i will experience this place by myself. I wish you a good success and hopefully we can watch your new video on the weekly basis..
Yes the caretaker Pak sundardi said that dna of ancient bones found is matching with the Toraja, mamasa, Kajang, kali, Minahasa people. And probably all those people are dececndays of the Polynesian who came from Taiwan, perhaps the same people who eventually ended up in easter island. There is a lot more we have to learn about the past in Sulawesi. And the evidence is right there buried in the ground I’m sure. I read that natural disaster was drought that collapsed the population.
