Your old delightful is actually a PM size as it only has 3 rows of LV logos running horizontally when the MM always has 4 rows of LV logos running horizontally. The old MM version is actually slightly bigger than the new MM. Also, the stoppers on the rings were introduced to stop the leather on the handle from wearing so easily as it stresses on the ring so yes you are right the purpose is for durability! Great detailed review and like how you showed them up close! I prefer the chunky zipper pulls of the older model!

Hey Hun great review! I believe you may have the PM size in the monogram. I have both in the MM and the to be honest the old one is bigger.
That's what I thought too! But the SA at Vuitton said it was the MM cause the difference in size is crazy! And remember I brought it preloved, and the listing said MM too. I don't know girl.

Anytime sweetie! I definitely think the old style is nicer. The GM is beautiful! I love the zippers. I actually almost got the GM for plane rides you know. I would choose the GM delightful over the neverfull any day!
