There was a comment left by @Outlawprophet that said the song didn’t sound like Upchurch’s style and that It sounded like it was just thrown together in 5 minutes. Basically that guy was saying he didn’t like it and it wasn’t any good. Well, here’s what I think, in regards to that comment he made. I can pretty much guess that @Outlawprophet has not ever visited PCB! Cause This song makes the images of all my trips there in the 90’s come to mind. Ridin the strip, loud music, tanned body and FUN! Thinking of young love at first sight to only see that person for the weekend, then they leave like a feather in the wind to not be seen again. That was a time of no cell phone, no insta, no tiktok, no Facebook just raw living in the moment to only be etched in your mind and the occasional photograph. So if it took 5 minutes, 5hours, 5 days or 5 year who gives a sh*t. If the song clicks for the artist and can connects with the audience then it’s magic. So you sir, Upchurch made magic in 5 minutes in my opinion. That’s what a song should do! 😏Make you think of a time and place, whether good or bad. This one was a good memory kinda song for me and I loved it. The vehicle type is easily changed to fit your own narrative, mine was a red S10 and K5 Blazer. Upchurch you freaking rock! Spent a lot of Spring Breaks, Summer weekend and random vacations in PCB but my most memorable was when I took my lil sis to PCB for her Bday in 02’ her bday is Valentine’s Day we went that weekend and ended up staying until MTV started moving into town to setup for Spring Break…. We made memories that’ll last me a lifetime… she would’ve been 38 this year, in 2 days actually…. she passed in 2016, this world was just too ugly for her beautiful soul…. As someone whos life has been more then I think I can handle like my daughter passing away to my oldest fighting with her mental health this song brings me back to a time when I didn't have this life struggle and when I had a very simple life and I wish more then anything to be able to go back to those days with my girls and have both here and happy. But that was not the path I was given and now I have to go down a path I never knew I could go down and be able to continue with living but I am and I am making that choice for my kids to not give up and I will continue until I get back to that simple life again
