The Boondocks had 0 chill for the first 3 seasons. They didnt give a single fuck if they offended somebody because they knew exactly what they were doing. They werent making an offensive show, they were making a show for people who have been around these types of people and know its real.
@@zeallust8542 the worst part is for humor to work there needs to be a hint of truth in it. So even if people got offended by it, they have to admit the reality. Although to be fair both black and white have an ignorant version who don't like job applications. lol
@@YukoValis Ive heard boondocks described as "an exaggerated celebration and critism of american black culture" and I feel thats pretty accurate. Tbh I didnt like the show much until I ended up living in a low income neighborhood in a big city and ended up having tons of black friends. They had me rewatch the show with them after I knew them well, and it quickly became one of my favorites because I was seeing exactly what they were parodying all the time.

So while I know I shouldn't take what the show does too seriously, it is strangely entertaining. It is parody with a hint of actual reality, and likeable characters. So top grade show I say.
It's crazy to me how genuinely great the animation in The Boondocks is sometimes. If I saw those fight scenes without hearing the dialogue, I'd think it was from a sick martial arts anime.
