    I've been sewing down lace wigs for years. Everyone knows using glue, gel etc makes a sis unable to workout daily or cleanse your entire face. Maintaining hair isn't worth risking your health or skin ladies. Use this method, secure that wig save your edges and be cute! Excellent tutorial.

      Thanks so much. I agree. I tried gels and they only last 3 days tops because I have to wash my face. lol. Most don't make it past day 1. It's too much upkeep.

      I agree i also sew my wigs down but i do use very little gotts to be glue and a little eco styler Brown gel dontreally know why just mt preference

      Won't it rub against your edges when you sleep if you sew it down? Cuz I heard when people sleep in lace wigs it rubs off their edges!

    I'm subscribing to you someone told me that I had to use glue on my head I work out a lot and I know that would not be a great method for me so I'm so super happy that I watched this video I really don't like the hassle of using glue on my hair

      Thank you. I'm glad this video was useful. Honestly, gel is not necessary and you need something breathable for your workouts. ❤️

    Thank you so much for the tutorial. I'mma try creating a side burn to camaflog the lace and discoloration of the side burn. The application process is perfect in my head; let's see if I recreate it in real time, lol. Stay well and safe!

    do you have to wear the cap. i know dumb question. i dont want to feel like something is on my head or tightness.

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  6 років тому

      Nine You don't. I don't always wear a cap and they can cause tightness if they are new. I usually stretch them out when I buy them.

    Is there an updated version of this?? this has good information and tips but it’s sloppy your edges aren’t fully protected and this doesn’t help if you don’t want or have edges to sew down on to

    How long does this hairstyle last? Could you wear a sew-in wig for more than a couple months?

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  4 роки тому +2

      It would depend on your hair. Mine lasted 1 week. I think you'd have to re-braid and reinstall during that period.

    Are sewn in wigs damaging? And if you sleep with them will it still tug if you plait it and wrap it up in a scarf?

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  4 роки тому +3

      There will be a lot of tugging if the wig was tight to begin with. This method hasn't given me problems, but it's best to be careful.

    • @moonswan5748
      @moonswan5748 4 роки тому +2

      Pure Estrogen thanks, I saw a couple of stylists talking about my options as I want to sew in a 360 for a couple of years (taking it down and washing properly of course) until my hair has grown and the hair is healthy to wear (it’s been very damaged) but the stylists say the tension of the braids would definitely break my hair:( otherwise I don’t know how to SECURE the wig as I’m a dancer

    Is the wig cap needed? Does it prevent ventilation?

    • @PureEstrogen
      @PureEstrogen  4 роки тому

      It's great to prevent friction, but not 100% necessary. You can always use netting in it's place or go without. It can limit ventilation.
