Excellent presentation. I will view the exhibit at the de Young in San Francisco soon. As an art historian, your presentation covered in depth the artistry of Tamara de Lempicka.

I thought this was going to be a panel with the cast speaking but I was sucked in immediately. Such a well-studied and wonderful speaker! I wonder if she ever got to see the show, either in La Jolla or on Broadway.

I just watched the show today and had never heard of this brilliant artist (like so many women in history). Thank you for sharing this talk! The fusion of cubism and baroque beauty is astounding. An absolute new favorite artist of mine now. Incredible performance, amazing cast! I think Lempicka would be pleased. Cheers! 🥂

cool video, btw the correct way to pronounce Tamara's last name is [lempitzka] not [lempicka]:)

This musical is incredibly written and beautiful yet pronounces their main artist name so incorrectly - her surname is polish, it's Łempicka so pronounced in English as "Wem-pitzka", not "Lem-pika". I hope this is something that gets fixed once the show moves to Broadway.

I have a St Moritz I believe water colour , slightly different than the original . It is done on cardboard with 2 stamps on the back. They are very hard to make out. One is round with some kind of logo for lack of a better word and the othe is a 4x2 inch stamp with 6 lines of printing I cannot even make out the language. The frame is wood with old small nails, Looks like it might have been covered with paper on the back at one time. Any ideas?
