      Only a few would go for the troc.. and that's exactly what vw expects.. Keep it rare n sophisticated

    Firstly, see any foreign review of Troc 1.5 TSI DSG, 0-100 of troc is 8.4 seconds flat (try 170bhp compass/Harrier, its over 10 seconds).
    So Troc is basically the fastest car in india under 30L and it’ll do 200kmph + all day everyday and will remain planted (those who are saying Kicks 156 bhp, remember it has a CVT which is way slower than world class DSG and due it’s tall stance, aero is not that great and it isn’t as stable at higher speeds as German cars are, needless to say Kicks wont go past 200kmph like Troc would with ease).
    Also if You talk about small size and less space in Troc, it does have the largest boot (445 ltr) than even harrier, compass and creta/seltos. It is actually longer and wider than seltos/creta (just not as tall, which is a good thing as it doesn’t have body roll at all and has great driving dynamics and high speed stability).
    It has some unique features adaptive frontlight system (AFS) with all Led lights, Active cylinder tech (ACT), Electronic limited slip differential (LSD), so ride is supreme (even better than harrier in my testing). Some European features are also included like: lane keep assist, front assist, etc along with unique features like green tint heat insulating windows, virtual cockpit, heated orvm, headlight washers, dual zone climate control, etc which you wont find in any other car at this price point.
    It’s a shame people don’t understand German cars in India and compare kt with creta/harrier/kicks. 1st know details about a car and look beneath the surface (not just bada hai toh behtar hai mentality). DSG & TSI combo is a match made in heaven and Koreans DCT with 1.4 turbo is no match in performance, refinement or even the sound it makes.
    Also, Troc is build like a tank with 5 star EuroNcap safety rating and various active/passive safety tech (unlike gimmicks which koreans offer, but sadly Indian buyers aren’t that well informed about such things so they only know about fancy features what they can see inside the car, not what’s working underneath)
    I agree Troc does miss some essential features at this price point like electric driver’s seat and cruise control and it also lacks a bit of rear space than competition (but has highest boot space in its segment), but overall it offers many big ticket features which no other car in India offers. It’s actually VFM and that’s the reason it’s sold out already (I feel petty for people who were saying that VW will not be able to sell even 100 of these in India).
    It’s not for a typical Indian buyer who looks for resale, size, mileage and less maintainance cost.
    It is for those who can appreciate German cars (and most buyers who will buy this most probably have previously owned a VW/ŠKODA cars, so they know what they are getting into and why it’s worth it).

      WoW, thanks for the comprehensive analysis.
      Yes It’s true, people don’t prefer build, safety or performance here.
      Troc has CBU build quality and exclusivity on road.
      I believe even VW’s paint quality is way better than other cars as I saw a TROC on road recently and it looked stunning & it’s white colour made other car’s white look “yellowish” (saw it side by side with the new creta in white colour, so I can compare). That’s why I believe VW gives 6 years paint warranty as well (which I haven’t seen in any other brand).
      Cheers!

      Ravindra Kumar yeaah that’s true.. all these small things people don’t even know about VW cars.
      It’s sad Koreans and Japanese are able to milk customers just by giving them fancy features like wireless charging & air purifiers, etc but compromise on actual quality of the product.

      Indeed German have unmatched quality and the engines are a gem to drive, but hey don't you think the Volkswagen dealers are running a scam when it comes to after sales services. The maintenance of Volkswagen car burns a hole in your pocket. You do not pay just for the engine. And talking about 200km/hr....then it is a CBU unit and made for the autobahns of Germany, you can't really expect to drive it beyond 200kph on Indian roads. I know plenty of people who have faced issues with Volkswagen steering after 50k kms and even for a small car like polo it costs a whopping 1 lakh. Agreed the USP of Volkswagen is sheer driving dynamics and build quality and these are the two key aspects looked up by the enthusiastic drivers but then again these are not the only things you look at while buying a car

    • @parthoomphy7214
      @parthoomphy7214 4 роки тому +2

      Prateek Sharma Maybe some users have faced service issues with VW (& true with every brand, no brand is perfect).
      And I agree VW parts are expensive (& maintenance too). But that's the cost you pay to get that refinement and build quality (which maruti, hyundai, etc doesn't provide).
      For instance, my neighbors harrier has huge panel gaps inside the cabin and steering wheel edges are sharp (not fitted properly I guess). Such issues aren't found in German cars. They do have solid build & finish.
      I personally own a Ameo 1.5 TDI DSG (with the infamous DQ200 gearbox which allegedly has reliability issues), but I haven't faced any problem with my car yet since last 3 years (touch wood).
      So my experience has been really good. Hence I Recently also bought Škoda Karoq after gaining confidence in VAG cars. Once you buy a VAG car, you can't simply love other cars (as the build quality & performance they offer is unmatched).

      @@parthoomphy7214 I agree that Volkswagen makes perfect cars and service issues can be found with any brand....there are a lot of issues with TATA too....but somehow Volkswagen cars do not fit into practical aspects of Indian customer. • @parthoomphy7214
      @parthoomphy7214 4 роки тому +5

      Yeah dude, I already answered your question in another video’s comment.
      If you are a typical Indian buyer looking for price to size ratio, resale, less service cost and more rear space, then go for Harrier. It has some additional features like:
      3 Drive modes, bigger rear space (although boot is bigger in Troc), bigger panoramic sunrooof, electric drivers seat, 9 jbl speaker system is better and cruise control feature (which is surprisingly missing on Troc).
      But if you are a petrol head like me amd prefer fast fun to drive cars with good driving dynamics, handling, great steering and breaking feedback, then go for Troc. Additional features of Troc are:
      More boot space, exclusivity on road, tank like build quality (German + CBU, harrier does have panel gaps and quality control issues in interior), European features like Front assist and lane keeping assist, paddle shifters, E-Parking break with auto hold, virtual cokpit display, headlight washers, Adaptive frontlight system (AFS) with all LED lights (harrier has halogens), 2 zone climate control, heated seats, limited slip differential (LSD) with independent rear suspension (like compass 4x4), so surprisingly ride is better on Troc than harrier on normal bad roads, but harrier has advantage on deep bumps due to more ground clearance.
      Safety wise, both are 5 star rated cars.
      Anyday I would pick Troc over harrier as it offers much more than harrier for my needs. Also I find way more exclusive and big ticket features in Troc which you wont find on any other car in this price range.
      Rest is based on your priorities and family’s choice obviously.

      With Indian/Worldwide trends firmly towards Crossovers/Compact SUVs that are providing compelling cost value proposition, Volkswagen missed a trick by localising more parts in India and keeping costs lower. When a Kia can do it why can't VW who have been in India for a decade or more.
      Again let me make it more explicit. I do not have any hidden agenda for any manufacturer. Be it Maruti pushing in lousy underpowered petrols with a newfound diesel-is-injurious tag, or a Toyota selling lousy replicas of Suzuki cars, I am generally against Manufacturers taking India for a ride and selling us less car for more price.
