I've heard of VDS but never tried them before - the matte croc is beautiful! It has a timeless look to it - in 10 years that planner cover will still be in style. I agree - the thin cardboard box and wrapped in plastic doesn't feel luxurious for that price point.
Ahhhh loved this video and thorough review! Their sales this month are too good to pass up! I just got my first VDS after a waitlist/hideshare, the Nubuck Thuya and then a friend and I both got the bright pink Nubuck Myrtille! Can’t wait to get it 💓💓 And totally agree with you - as a first timer ordering, it was overwhelming but Petra was very patient and helped answer so many questions for the codex I ordered! Also, yessss! Leather samples are the way to go! I got samples a long time ago and then got a few more here and there and it definitely helped me decide! Because there are so many different colors and textures! Enjoy your beautiful new covers!! 😍😍😍

So you got yourself - not one - but two VDS planners at once 😆 But I understand - the discount must have been very tempting 😅 I'm though sad to hear that you didn't like your Parme. That was my first choice of color, but decided to wait on it, because they had only smooth ones left in the Junior size. I was aware that it is like two toned and that is what I like about it. But I can understand that if it came as a unpleasant surprise that it can be off-putting. And your Parme looks very grey or maybe even dirty if you are expecting a pure baby pink... But there surely are differences between batches. I don't know how I would have reacted if I had gotten a Parme like yours. It's so different to see it in real life versus on a screen. According the non-existent pouches - it is a bit weird that VDS is not giving you anything where to store your planner. Maybe they are just meant to be in use all the time. And maybe they decided that would add too much to the cost... But on the other hand - you are buying a planner cover. Sometimes I get irritated about all the extras I get, especially if I don't need or like them. Then it's just extra junk you need to deal with. About the boxes... I got with my Junior (in my latest unboxing) a very nice box - or at least nicer then before. Maybe other sizes will also get the sturdier box when they have used old stock. Idk. I have one nice box and the rest are the same quality as your boxes. I wouldn't treat the Parme with anything, but I maybe have heard someone say they sprayed the Stardust. Maybe look around to see some reviews. I'm not into croco, so haven't paid so much attention to that information. And now I stop babbling about my newest favorite brand 😅
@@Katiplans Thank you for your thoughts! Yes I was surprised by the parme but I also knew it was a risk because there was only textured left and that can dramatically change the look of the color. The product photos on the website honestly are way too pink though, I don’t feel like anyone has that color but more washed out. But I don’t hate it, just different! The croco I really love and yes I will have to research on the care because I am afraid to stain it! Since there was such a discount and I was paying shipping anyway, I got the two colors I like. Nothing else of the touch me was of interest to me personally… so that was it!
@@Katiplans oh and yes the packaging, I feel like it’s not as much as other brands… not sure 🤔 because I understand some think it’s a waste of money… but I actually use the dust bags so I was realizing vds doesn’t have them!
