The world "proper" used in the video comes from the word "sappaya" which can also be translated as "suitable."
Suitable foods are subjective to each person. For example, certain foods would be unsuitable if the person had an aversion to it, could not digest it, was allergic to it, or had other issues with it.
The purpose of having suitable food, clothing, residence, and medicine is so that the individual is not stressed out about finding and proccuring these items. If those things are sappaya for them, they are satisfied and comfortable to a degree, then their body and mind can fully focus on the Dhamma.

Indeed, they too have done such a deed, he got betrayed by her many lifetimes 😢😱
I have heard a different story, It is only when he is in reaching the last stage to attending enlightened that he realizes that she was his wife in past life..
And when he sees it in she betrayed him..
And then she also sees where he has gone wrong and she gives him a message in her mind, She tells him before his mind fills with hatreds Which would have become an obstacle to reach the last stage..
that look look I have helped you to become a monk in that lifetime.
Then his mind becomes soft calm and reach last stage..
Anyway, it's a great story, I've learned a lot..

How can a person who is killer is 99 lives ,can attain anagrami so easily
A person who kiled 999 achieved Nirvana in the same birth and person was Angulimala . This is how Karma works , one gets closer to nirvana when works even slowly on path of dharma.
Paramittas of all previous lifes are counted, not only 99 lifes.
